Cub grocery stores around the Twin Cities are exceptionally generous. They allow food trucks and…read moresmall businesses to park in their lots to do business. Of course, they are parked furthest away from the actual store, but the support is nice to see. When you see a review from me for a Cub store, chances are that I am here to support a local business. It was the case a few Saturdays ago. I was back to pick up two bottles of Fire and Ice Pickles. Michelle is the woman behind this fine business. It was my second time ordering from her. The waiting list is a good month to get your pickles. I lucked out with my timing. She had a few pickup locations. I had arrived in town on a Friday. She had a pickup date on Saturday. It was at this Cub store in Blaine. The window was between 3 and 4 pm. I had no problem finding this Cub store. I was coming from Coon Rapids, so my drive was ten minutes. This Cub store is in a rather vast plaza. The store is wide. It also has a pharmacy. There was plenty of parking just after 3 pm. It was moderately busy. It was easy finding her vehicle with her company's logo on flags. She is a nice woman. She remembered that I stayed in Bloomington the first time that I bought a bottle of her amazing pickles. I was in Eagan this time. I paid with cash. She bottled and packaged my jars of pickles nicely. She worked until 4 am to get all orders ready for this day. I was up till 4 am as well, coming down from the Minnesota Wild winning game 3 of the first round of playoffs. She said that if I needed more pickles, to let her know. She would expedite my order because I "came so far," which was super sweet of her. When I ordered my first bottle of pickles, I consumed them within a day. They are that yummy. They are tangy, sweet, garlicky, with heat. So good! I was a bit better pacing myself with my two bottles of pickles. I ate them before my trip was over. Delicious! They make regular pickles seem so boring. I appreciate that she has Cub pickup locations around the Twin Cities. It allows me to discover new places that I've never been to. I can also figure out where Cub stores are that I could potentially shop at someday! (130)

Great customer service in the meat department and friendly cashiers. Love having fresh popcorn!…read moreLighting in the produce section is bright and the apples were stacked perfectly, not dropped like another Cub store. Staff was quick to clean up after a customer dropped a carton of eggs in the cashier lane. This will be my new Cub store.

To Whom It May Concern,…read more I am submitting this correspondence as a formal complaint concerning the conduct of an employee at your store during my visit yesterday, 7/11/26 between 1:20 pm -- 1:30 pm. The treatment I received was unacceptable, inconsistent with reasonable customer service standards, and warrants immediate review by Cub Foods management! I approached the guest services counter for the lawful purpose of completing a purchase using United States coin currency, specifically quarters. At all times, I remained calm, respectful, and cooperative. Despite this, the employee refused to assist me. Rather than professionally explaining any store policy or attempting to resolve the situation, she made a dismissive remark, abruptly terminated the interaction, and walked away, leaving me standing at the counter without assistance! Equally troubling was the employee's demeanor. She displayed what I reasonably perceived to be open hostility, including an angry facial expression and narrowed eyes immediately before walking away. Her conduct conveyed contempt rather than professionalism and left me feeling humiliated and publicly disrespected. The employee represented herself as a manager. However, I observed that her name tag did not identify her as holding a managerial position. I request that Cub Foods determine whether she was, in fact, authorized to represent herself in that capacity. I am Latino, and I left this interaction with a genuine concern that I was treated differently because of my ethnicity. While I recognize that only a thorough investigation can determine the motivation for an employee's conduct, I cannot ignore the fact that I experienced treatment that was markedly discourteous, dismissive, and degrading. Every customer, regardless of race, ethnicity, or national origin, is entitled to equal treatment, dignity, and respect while conducting ordinary business. Accordingly, I request that Cub Foods promptly investigate this incident, including reviewing any available surveillance footage, identifying all employees involved, determining whether company policies or standards of conduct were violated, and taking whatever corrective action is appropriate. I also request a written response outlining the findings of your investigation and the measures implemented to ensure that customers are treated professionally and respectfully going forward. Organizations are ultimately judged not only by the policies they publish, but by the conduct they permit. I sincerely hope Cub Foods will treat this matter with the seriousness it deserves and demonstrate its commitment to providing all customers with fair, respectful, and professional service. I look forward to your timely response. Respectfully, Natalia Esperanza
