I come here for the bread, the bakery is rather good and not typical grocery store stuff…read more The rest of the store is hit or miss, some good brands at great prices, some odd brands that are clearly 3rd string. There are also a lot of treats and candy that reminded me of a Pier 1 or World Trade Market. And you can find some European brands of things you just can't find in regular stores. I see Lidl as someplace to go occasionally since they are out of the way for us but if we lived closer we would shop more regularly. Ok last thing, lots of people compare this to ALDI. I don't they really are different, the bakery is far better than anything at ALDI, they also sell lower end oddities like a Dollar store, and many German or EU food products. They do carry some of the low-end brands that ALDI sells and for both stores that's part of their value. Some folks are ok to have 3rd rate quality to save a little money. For us we are selective and I don't mind hitting several grocery stores to get the best that each offers.

This is a smaller grocery store that is clean and well-organized. I thought the prices were pretty good and was planning to stop back to shop on my way out of town, as the prices were less than I was used to, and I wanted those deals. This store carried items I hadn't seen before. But as it is smaller, the brands they carry are fewer than I am accustomed to, with a lot of the products. And other products had more selection than I could imagine, so maybe they order just what those who shop there want. I wanted to try the breakfast in the restaurant inside the store, too, as I really enjoyed my burger and fries. It will be my first stop in Beaufort on my next visit.

This commissary has great hours; their weekend hours are not as limited as some other commissaries…read moreand they open at 9am on Tuesdays and Saturdays and they close at 7pm on weekdays. I'm really impressed with the selection. The produce is lacking but that's par for the course at commissaries. There's a Walmart and a Food Lion just off base anyway. The organic section is awesome though. They carry a TON of different types of flours (tapioca, rice, almond, fava bean, gluten-free mix, etc) and cereals and some other unexpected products like flaxseed and xanthan gum. They also carry organic raw sugar in the regular baking products aisle. They don't have as many self checkouts as some other commissaries, but they have two self checkout lines with higher item count limits than usual (40 items and 100 items). The lines are consistently longer but the trade off is that you can still bag yourself even with a full cart.

I moved to Beaufort recently and hadn't needed to establish myself with a pharmacy until recently…read more You know, it's one of those things you don't need, until you need it. :) Convenient to me were the chains, but honestly, I didn't want to go to a chain pharmacy, and after hours when I felt I didn't have a choice, the one that was open didn't seem to want my business, so I waited and called Beaufort Drug. Beaufort Drug isn't fancy, it doesn't have a drive thru window, but they will bring your meds out to your car if you call in and tell them you are there- says a sign on the door. From the moment I called them, to going inside to give them my insurance info, to the time I picked up my meds, they were absolutely fantastic. It is one of those places you actually feel good about supporting, and feel that they are supporting you, too, especially when you are going there to get meds when you aren't feeling so hot. Superb customer service, speedy fill, and great folks!
