Products mislabeled, spoiled items, some produce not priced, many items should have gone to the dumpster some time ago. The bakery has gotten so bad that I wonder why they even have it some days. The deli isn't what it used to be either. The meat department seems not to have enough product to keep the shelves and bunkers full. Usually this department looks clean, well stocked, and pleasant. I feel that it has been the best run department in the store. It needs to tighten up a bit. At least it is the best looking department in the store. The checkout area needs to have better trained employees. Most of them (not all of them) have no idea how to bag groceries. Again, maybe the new manager will get things sorted out. Quickly I hope.

I did not bring a bathing suit with me from Los Angeles. You don't want to wear anything that you care about tubing. The best thing to do was to stop at Wal-Mart and buy a cheapie bathing suit...It was August...so it was slim pickings. I picked out a bikini and a one piece. Here's where the fun begins...I walked my findings to the fitting room. The fitting room person...(let's call her Nancy)...Nancy looked at me like I was from outer space. Seriously, you would have thought that I landed the mother ship at the fitting room in Wisconsin...I blew that off, smiled and said "Hi I would like to try these on...my family is going tubing and I did not bring a bathing suit with me. I am visiting from Los Angeles." Nancy did not say hi back to me or smile or anything. The younger girl who was working with her (let's call her Becky) Becky said sure let me get you a room. Becky gave me a #3 tag and showed me into a room. Nancy hadn't stopped staring at me...I tried on both. The one piece worked out better than the bikini. I kept it on under my sundress as I did not know if there was a place to change (everything is different now with COVID). I had the tag in my hand and told Nancy that I was going to buy this bathing suit...I explained I didn't know if there was a place to change...Nancy looked bewildered, as if no one has ever worn something out of a store. I told Nancy I was going to go check out right now. Nancy still hadn't stopped staring but motioned for Becky to follow me. (Now let's keep in mind I am carrying a purse that probably cost more than they make in a few months)...Becky kept following me around the store...as I went to a self checkout register and checked out...the rest of my group was buying a bunch of beer and there was a woman - (We'll call her Karen) was eyeballing us like crazy...meanwhile the meth heads that walked in were robbing them blind - they walked out with 2 cases of beer! It's wild. They had their eyes on the wrong people. Becky tried to apologize for Nancy...I said "C'mon Becky...it's a $9 bathing suit...does it really look like I can't afford a $9 bathing suit. This is racial profiling and it sucks and I am going to tell on all of you!" My friend said "That was so weird. I have never seen such a blatant act of racism." So, there you have it folks...Racism is alive and well and you can find it at the Wal-Mart in Monroe, Wisconsin! Oh yeah, I am also going to write a letter!

The food is generally pretty good, with a few exceptions on either side of the equation.
