This place was stacked with more than I would have ever imagined for a small town grocery store. My only gripe was the lack of bakery that you come to expect from a chain grocery store. The deli, meat and seafood departments are neighbors and the selection of prepackaged meals are vast. The seafood options are also plentiful. I went with the intention of buying dinner, but literally had no clue what I was going to prepare. I only knew it would be something healthy so I perused the produce and seafood sections. Behold the end-cap with the portioned fish fillets and steaks. One piece of ahi tuna begging me to take it home was snatched up along with a bag of steamed veggies from the produce section. Price Chopper places coupons on items with a next day sell date so I saved a $1 on the veggies. The tuna was very well priced, an 11 ounce steak for $6.02. In the end, I had a delicious and healthy meal for less than $8. #winning Our cashier was extremely friendly and provided some useful around town tips once he learned we were visiting from out of town. The store was well stocked and the bakery featured a large selection of prepackaged and fresh baked goods. Strawberry shortcakes were on sale for $4.99, that's a real NY bargain! Finally, the entrance featured lots of vendor items such as candy machines, the claw machine and a Redbox. I will definitely return to this store if I need additional groceries while in town.

All the major departments - produce, meat, seafood, dairy, were stocked almost to overflowing, with good regular and sale prices displayed prominently. The store is brightly lit and the aisles are wide. There are 2 self-checkouts. The employees here are really friendly and chatty. If it ever expands (and if it does well, it should be considered), add some more hot food stations and a salad bar.

They also had bottles of "shots" like pickle, kim chi, or jalapeno juice. I have no idea who takes these kinds of shots but it was super interesting to me. They're non-alcoholic and are found in the refrigerator section in the back. Also, they had a huge selection of probiotic yogurts, protein smoothies and granola snacks that are fresh and in the refrigerator, and cool ice cream brands I've never heard of before. I tried a brand of ice cream called Culture Republick and debated between the lemon and graham flavor versus the milk and honey flavor. First off, those flavor combinations scream me. Second, this wasn't one of those vegan, non-creamy, soy style ice creams. I got the 2nd flavor and thought it was so delicious, so creamy, and really satisfying because it had fewer calories than the average ice cream pint. I ended up eating the entire thing in 2 sittings in under 12 hours. I also got sticky bras from here and was surprised to see that they had several styles. One style they carried that I hadn't seen before was where the sticky part goes on the shirt rather than on your breasts. This way, you can avoid the sticky-sweaty summer situation where your sticky bra falls off due to all of your sweating. This happened to me at Coachella one year. They also have a bunch of cute pajama shirts for $6.44. There is no better bargain!

Here, everything looked like it was where it was supposed to be and the clothes section was very straight and proper. I came to pick up some furniture I ordered online and recall that the girl in the back pick-up area kept the space open past their regular hours just for me. The customer service was really great and I appreciated her helping me. There is always plenty of parking here as well though the pavement could use some smoothing out. There isn't much to do in a town like Norwich (as well as its surrounding towns) so this is definitely the place to hang-out at for most folks in the area. I know kids in Sherburne definitely frequent Walmart on a bored night out. I also came looking for mugs and was surprised that the selection wasn't bigger. I ended up buying a moscow mule mug that was pretty sturdy and large for a great price.

They also sell house random items like a single couch, maternity leggings, tool carrier and much more. Their prices are very fair. Aldis is Trader Joe's brother. Similar to Trader Joes, Aldis sells their own brand of merchandise. They do, however, sell some brand name things like candy for Halloween. You need a quarter in order to release the cart to shop. It's a great idea and way to get people to return the carts to the front of the store. What's also interesting about this chain of markets is that their cashiers sit down in a chair when ringing you up. They also sell pet supplies like litter, snacks, beds, and food. The only con to the store are their hours. On Sundays, they close early at 8.
