This is probably the most vibrant store location in the shopping plaza. That doesn't mean that this is the best spot in the plaza, it just means that it is the busiest section. I would suggest looking at the weekly sales circular to know exactly what is best to grab when you come here. Maybe even get a royalty card for the store. I have had mine for some time, but it won't recognize my name, it's irritating. I chose to use the self checkouts when I came here. Be prepared to have peanut gallery smart remarks about your usage of the machine from the store employee that might be manning the area. Sorry dude, I paid my dues in retail, I know how to scan an item and look up one in the system. Not everyone is as dumbed down as you would like to think.

To reach the Giant Eagle from the Great Allegheny Passage, exit at Main Street and cross the river. Note, the bridge is really narrow. You may want to walk your bike across using the footpath. The layout is spacious and organized. Being this was opening week, it was jam packed. There were hardly any shopping carts available when we arrived. The staff was superb. They were all very friendly even though the place was a mad house. The organic selection is fantastic! Produce alone, organic and non, is a much larger selection. Still the same great deals on everything. We were very pleased in what was done during the upgrade. I will post more pictures when the hype dies down and there aren't people everywhere. Walking inside it was a little underwhelming. It looks and feels a little too small for the area. I mean they had all departments covered, but not a big selection within those given departments. I wondered around the weirdly laid out store and stumbled upon the items I didn't necessarily need, but picked up anyway. Customer service was lackluster, but that could be because of the area. I wish they would have had self checkouts here so I didn't have to deal with that part of it. Another thing that doesn't help here is the fact that parking lot is confusing. The main entrance to this place is at a traffic signal and it is hard to figure out which way you are suppose to go once you enter the plaza lot.
