Probably the dirtiest store I've ever gone to…read more I heard that they are remodeling this store in the near future, so hopefully by the time you're reading this it is done and looks a lot better. Backstory: We decided to travel to my grandmother-in-law's house in two cars, my mother-in-law and I were in one and my husband, father-in-law, and son were in the other. Since my MIL and I were going to stop at the grocery store to grab a couple things on our way, we left it up to the men to bring all the other things. They forgot it all. This means, that along with the soda, they didn't bring milk or bottles for my son. I'm still rolling my eyes as I write this. Since my son needed to eat, we decided it was easiest to just go to the Dollar General down the street to grab a bottle and milk. No, it wouldn't be his Dr. Brown's bottles, but he would only need it for a couple of hours. When we walked inside my first thought was wow is this place dirty. It's probably the dirtiest store I've ever been in. The reason I'm giving it two stars instead of one is they did have baby bottles, hooray!, and they were only $1. Maybe babies don't have to be as expensive as I thought. Sure, it's not the nicest bottle, but it did the trick. I wouldn't come back here, but I am interested to see if they do remodel like my MIL thinks, so I might just come back here on our next trip to see if it's happened to update my review.

My family has shopped at this store for years without issue. Recently, my child was sent with an…read moreempty container so they knew what items to purchase. My child left with twice the amount of money that was needed. Being a child, they totally forgot to get a receipt and change. I went back and explained the issue. The cashier told me that two items were picked up and my child ran out with them AND an empty container that was consumed inside the store I explained that I sent the empty container so the correct items were purchased. Unless I had the receipt, they will not do a thing. My child said no receipt was given but the cashier insisted one was given. Why would my child steal and then leave several more dollars than the item was worth? Also, why would they give a receipt and no change? I will contact corporate and any other avenue that will listen. Not only this, they called my child a thief in front of the entire store. A good manager should have pulled me aside to explain the issue.

This Kroger has been here for somewhere north of 30 years. As long as I can remember anyway. I…read morestopped here for a few must haves before heading out to the old family farm. It has somewhat kept with the times and the folks were pretty polite. One big difference I noticed from the good old days (like when I got caught shoplifting when I was 12) was that they have an employee apparently named Furball. That was on the employee's name tag. Not a sticker, not a piece of tape over his real name tag (yes it was a he, stop already with the West Virginia jokes) but a professionally made, black letters on white laminate in relief that stated, "Hi! My Name Is FURBALL." Admittedly, dude was approaching Robin Williams in hirsuteness but "Furball?"
