The first time he did this, it appeared that the coupon did not work so I went back into the store to inquire about it. The first cashier had no idea how to handle this so he had a manager come talk to me. A "manager" (white male, don't know his name) told me that the system hasn't been working lately for that coupon. He said he's had a few others that day that also did not work. He was very nice and professional and issued me a $5 refund. He specifically told me that when the system accepts that coupon, we will see it reflect on our receipt in the form of the receipt saying "coupon" and specifically indicating there is exactly $5 off. He also specifically told me that the "store discounts" on the receipts have nothing to do with the Saturday $5 off coupon. He said that those are just regular discounts due to store sales, etc. Fast forward to the next Saturday. My husband went back in there to do his weekly shopping and yet again it did not appear that the $5 off worked. Per the "manager" the week before, there was no coupon indicated on the receipt and there was no verbiage about a specific $5 off on the receipt either. When my husband asked the cashier (the cashier who is on "work release") about this, she was very unprofessional, demeaning, and insinuated that we were trying to pull some sort of scam for $5 bucks. She actually called the COPS! The situation escalated to a point where it didn't need to. There are so many better ways she could have handled the situation, including taking my husband's name and number and having a manager contact him later (apparently there was no manager there that day). I contacted the store a couple days later to place a complaint about the situation, and spoke to a woman identifying herself as the manager. She acknowledged that we were misinformed by the other "manager" who issued me the refund the week before. Had her employees been properly trained, especially her other manager, this entire situation would have been avoided. It was due to his misinformation that caused this entire situation. She also acknowledged that the situation by the cashier was not handled in the best way. Despite her apology, we will not be going back. We will be purchasing all of these same items from Sam's Club. Not only is it cheaper, but it gets delivered for free with our membership and we don't have to deal with a cluttered store, long lines, and disrespecful employees who aren't trained properly and giving customers conflicting information.

People are friendly, and personable and you just feel like you belong. I've often said I wish we could get a QT in our city in CA but quickly remember that we don't have personable young people who would treat you as being valued as the associates back here do. Even consumers coming into the store hold a door open for women and the elderly. And those are reasons to LOVE QT and OKLAHOMA! Keep up the great work QT. I've never come across a clerk at any Qt who wasn't fast, friendly and did not say thank-you.

Sure, those things happen here, but with a unique brand of friendliness and exquisite customer service. No matter how many people are standing in line, the person behind the counter NEVER gives the impression that they are hurried or harried. They are, however, quick and efficient....but no matter the time of day (or night...they are open 24 hours), the person taking your money ALWAYS has time to say, 'Thank-you. See you later.' They've got a free air machine outside, which seems to be some sort of form of local entertainment, because on each and every visit, someone was pulled up to that machine putting air in the tires. The one time that I thought that maybe I'd escape and not see that happen, out of the clear blue, a kid appears out of thin air (maybe he dropped from one of the storm clouds?) and pulled up to the Free Air Machine to top off the front tire of his bicycle. Just to see if I could possibly catch them at their worst, I purchased something like 284 bottles of Coke Cherry Zero while in town. Each visit was exactly the same...almost like the Groundhog Day of Convenience Stores....in a good sort of way! So if you are rolling through B'ville on route 75, stop in and say hi. It will make your day. And if the line isn't too long, have a pull on the Free Air Machine and party like a local!

I had no idea until I made the returns that Hobby Lobby doesn't put an item number on their receipts. My fiance, a clerk, a store manager, and myself had to search my huge pile of receipts trying to find which item went with what receipt. It was very stressful with people lined up behind us. What an archaic process. Over the last two years I have turned in four rain checks and Hobby Lobby always says they will call when the item will come in. Guess what, they never call me. I always wait past the date (they say it would arrive when I turned in my rain check) to call them and inquire about the status. They say, "Yes, we received it." I'm thinking, "Why didn't you call like you said you would?" One of the rain checks I turned in was misplaced but I was later told it was in the back order pile. How is that misplaced and why wouldn't you check the back order pile when I inquire? Then another rain check I submitted was a large, large order and when I called the day they said it would arrive, I was told all the items were in. So I drove to the store and when I got there, they said they couldn't find some of the items. I said, "How do you loose things in less than an hour?" A little over an hour after leaving the store, they call me and tell me they found the missing items. It's sad, this used to be my favorite store and I dread buying things there now. Hobby Lobby is my last resort now and not the first store I'll go to. It's definitely not my favorite store anymore. My daughter has disliked Hobby Lobby for years and I am now disliking it too.
