Scanning the aisles of DT is one of my guilty pleasures, I LOVE taking my time and perusing the entire store and it's really easy at THIS location. The aisles are wide and it's a larger store than most. In case you're not familiar with DT stores, first of all, everything is $1.00! I cannot tell you how many times I've heard customers ask, "How much is this?" Second, all DT stores have a great party supply section, as well as holiday decorations. This location has a really great craft supply section! During this pandemic it has been great to get craft supplies on the cheap, definitely makes staying home more fun. I, also, enjoy going through the books in DT and this location has had some great selections. I got some good ones here, including a really big cookbook back when before the COVID19 shutdown. The staff here are all very friendly and courteous! This location does stay pretty busy, too! I guess everyone loves a bargain!

The store is so neat and orderly I quickly found what I was looking for and was on my way. I was amazed that post holiday that the Christmas section wasn't a looted fallout zone like my local Dollar Tree. I arrived around 3:30, knowing they close at 5:00. However, by 4:35, the employees were practically shoving customers out the door. Each employee told us a different amount of time left before closing despite still having plenty of time to spare before 5:00. At 4:40, the lights in the second building were being shut off, and by 4:50, the open sign was off. This may be a controversial opinion, but I feel that if your sign says you're open until 5:00, you should be fully operational until that time. I was extremely disappointed with the staff today, and it was a very odd and uncomfortable experience.

I go here when I need to do my bulk shopping or if it's not available online for delivery to my home. I, personally, prefer to order & get home delivery for my bulk items like paper towels, toilet paper, laundry and dish detergent. However, this store does have a better meat selection than other locations. Warning: I do not recommend this store for pick up of an online order. The pick up area is in the very back of the store at the restrooms and you will have to wait for the assigned staff member to arrive to assist you then wait on them to locate your order. It is not like other Walmart's where the pick up area is in the front of the store with a dedicated staff person that simply unlocks one of the orange bins your order has been placed in. Taylorsville's Walmart simply has not grasped that pick up orders are centered upon the concept of convenience where a customer walks in and immediately walks out with no waiting or exchange of money. The staff literally act as if you haven't paid for the item yet and trail you to the front of the store. Inexplicable!
