They never have what your looking for stocked and all the employees are always hanging out in the office, just hanging out during there work hours. Anytime I'm stopping at a Dollar General, there's always a story behind it. Over the last couple of…read moreyears, I've had a lot of Dolla Gentral stories. This time was no different. We stopped in here to grocery shop... I'm not kidding either. With their freezer and cold food cases, this makes it easy to do here. My mom is a vegetarian, so whenever I'm camping with my parentals and Mom won't eat at the usual local hot spots that I scope out, we have to make a pit stop for chips, candy, etc. at least once. It's very common to see DGs in rural areas, which is probably the camping trips connection. This location is near Cumberland Falls and several campgrounds including Holly Bay, which is where we spent this weekend. I bought a few items that I always find at DGs. Whales, you know like Goldfish crackers? They are $1 per box at DG, so I always grab a few boxes. Stackers B12 energy shots, also $1 and is a DG staple for me. Monster energy drinks at $2 each. Yeah, I spent more than I should've AND I stopped in at the local restaurant. There was only one cashier working, but she was kind and efficient. It wasn't busy at all, even during peak camping season on a weekend.
