We stopped here while on a road trip because of the yelp reviews and were so glad we did. We had the Chicken Salad Croissant, Turkey Bacon Croissant, bacon egg & cheese croissant and ham egg & cheese biscuit. Everyone really enjoyed their sandwiches. The croissants were nice and flaky. Typically we don't think croissants outside of a French bakery cut it, but these were very good. Couldn't leave without some doughnuts, also very good. The service was excellent. Three very pleasant, lovely young ladies took care of us. We couldn't have been happier with our stop. read more

We randomly pulled off the highway and Yelp suggested this place. They are located at the end of BP station. Easy to find from and return to 1-75 northbound. Convenient and speedy drive thru service. They have several different types of donuts. The donuts were fresh and soft. Decent coffee and good prices. Quick stop if you want to grab a bite. I loveeeee this place! My favorite spot to go to while I went to school in Williamsburg. The staff is always super friendly, the inside is clean and has games to place while you wait or dine in, and they have options for everyone. My go-to order is large caramel iced coffee, and either a cream cheese danish or a bacon egg and cheese croissant. Can never go wrong! read more

We were so grateful to find something open while traveling on Christmas Day. What an added delight that their breakfast sandwiches and donuts are downright delicious! And so reasonably priced! Two breakfast sandwiches, a soft drink, and two donuts were right around 15 dollars. We will definitely be adding this stop on the rest of our travels! read more

The donuts may be good, but their customer service...not so much. My daughter applied for a job there a few weeks ago, as they have a sign saying they are hiring. My daughter called and stopped by several times (as they asked her to do) to check the status of her application. They kept telling her they'd call her back. After 2 weeks of this, my daughter went there today to check the status again, only to be told that they filled the position. That's fine...maybe she wasn't a good fit. But it's foul to keep wasting her time by telling her to call or stop by several times. Just tell her you filled the position...so she can move on...she can take it!! These donuts were super fresh and delicious! We enjoyed a plain, chocolate cream filled, strawberry iced, and coconut iced and flaked donuts. The gentleman serving was so friendly and said he looked forward to serving me again when we traveled through. Worth the stop here. On the bonus, there was a clean bathroom. read more

Couldn't stand to go to mcdonald's to start our vacation.. checked yelp and of course it came through with alternatives! Not going to lie, I didn't have the highest hope for the tag-on gas station breakfast but knew it couldn't be worse than mcd's. DONT JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS COVER! The sweetest young blonde sipping her coffee greeted us eagerly @7:15am! The best (real)bacon egg & cheese croissant sandwich and I had to grab a donut- so yummy, my bf got a cinnamon roll and that was delightful as well! Was in town for a nearby soccer tourney so I stopped in this AM for a couple dozen donuts to feed the boys. The owner was there and the only one in the shop. Saw The Donut King when we stopped for gas at the filling station next door. Husband got a yeast donut which he said wasn't extraordinary. They did have a nice selection of donuts, a display case filled with drinks and also offer breakfast sandwiches, but we weren't hungry enough to try anything else. Great donuts! The staff is friendly, the donuts are fresh and there are many bottled drinks to chose from, including milk, water and Starbucks. My favorite donut is probably the cream cheese turnover but everything from the regular glazed donut to the cinnamon donut holes is awesome. It's fairly easy to get in and out of but make sure you follow traffic signs for turning into the parking lot (one place is an entrance/exit, another is an exit only). There is parking in front and to the left of the building (the shop is in the same building as a BP gas station. *side tip: gas is usually cheaper at the Pilot station across the bridge*) and there is also a drive-thru where you order at the window. The only negative I've found is that some donuts aren't as fresh around closing time but it's rare (maybe one out of six purchased wouldn't be as fresh as desired). If you're traveling through during the early morning hours, the products are freshly made and great (think similar to the Hot Fresh light being on at Krispy Kreme). The shop also offers breakfast and lunch sandwiches in addition to their donuts. I haven't tried any of those personally but they look tasty. read more
