Yesterday I shopped at this Dollar Tree and bought some things for a party. When I got home I noticed I did not need 3 of the items that I bought and was missing a few things. Today I went back to Dollar Tree to exchange the items for something else. I did not want a refund! I just wanted to exchange. I asked the cashier if it's okay that I exchange, she said "I would need to speak to a manager". A female manager by the name of Alex (She wouldn't give me her last name due to policy) approach me with an attitude and said I could not exchange without a receipt. I asked if I could show my credit card transaction and she said no with an attitude. I do not understand what's the attitude for and what the issue for exchanging items that you KNOW belongs to your store and that are a DOLLAR. If it wasn't for me being in a rush and really needed these items, I would have just left and not buy anything. I will not be shopping here again. The Manager Alex needs to be retrained on customer service. It's not a good look to have a nasty attitude. P.S. I was skeptical about this so called "Dollar Tree". We were very impressed by their toy selections of the children's variety. So it was no surprise when I joyfully gallanted to the toy aisle. The plastic tea set came in many a color and in pristine condition. We are absolutely astonished by the generosity of the help that the company has employed. Dollar Tree's doll styling heads had hair perfect for refreshment production. It fit very nicely into the teapot and seamlessly spurted out of the plastic little spout. This location is conveniently located and has a huge parking lot. Merchandise shelves are for the most part fully stocked. Amazing selection of greeting cards. Why then only 3 stars? There are 5 cashier aisles in the store and never ever have I seen more than 2 open at a time. If you arrive first thing in the morning when it opens there's no issue, but by later morning the store is packed so expect to be online for more than 20 minutes. Once it took me nearly 30 min to check out....so take my advice and only shop there very early morning. read more

I was already on the other side by the bags and asked her to hand me my item so I can go on another line and she gave me an attitude. Went to the next register and she was "not open" either. It's disgusting that two days ago I was there looking for hand sanitizer and Lysol .The manager told me that all was out yet she was guarding two trollies for a man that told me he has his own business .They both told me to order on line what a joke outline was out of stock and backlogged .I went today again and of course nothing was in the shevel. The same manager told me there was no deliveries .As I was walking out a woman had a wagon full of stuff.I asked if that was to be put on shelve she said no it's mine.I said how could you take all the stuff when there is a crisis .She told me she worked there and was allowed .This useless manager checked her out .One case two cases but filling the cart that the boxes were flowing over .A limit should of been set .Shame to the useless manager and the store owner .Store should be closed down.Customers support these stores not these people and to board all the stuff .I have other words but I wouldn't put it on here .Shame on you ..you pieces of shit.God doesn't like ugly read more

Customer service is Awful!! i placed an order online and got the message 20 something days after saying it was in the store ready for pick up ... i went and got a few other items therefore i had to wait in line which i had no issue doing... after i got to the front told them i have an email and they told the manager that i needed to pick something up so she came got the name and left ... 25 mins later i am still standing there and the worker had to tell the manager again that i was waiting the manager then told her oh okay and went to the back took another 10 mins and came out with 1 box out of 3 that i had ordered ... she handed it to me and said she could t find the other ones and that there will be a shipment the next day to either come in or call the store... i called the store the next day at 7 pm and no one answered ... i called customer service the next day and she called the store herself and they even gave her an attitude and told her oh i will get in a ashipment in 2 days didn't even ask for the order number .. gave them a few extra days (6) then i called back there was a temp manager this time and he gave me the worst attitude telling me that if my order wasn't complete that the manager wasn't suppose to give it to me and that i was suppose to get a refund and i have to call the customer service number and get refunded... i call the customer service number and here we go again ... i waited a month for the items and the items weren't i. the store and i got tired of the whole run around ... i just wanted princess skirts for my daughters birthday and some moss for the party favors ... but nope not happening ... very disappointed and very annoyed with not only dollar tree but the service !!!! read more

I wanted to like Dollar Tree. When it first opened in February 2016, it was super clean, organized and well stocked. Staff was friendly and helpful. There was more than one cashier. It is a bit cheaper than when it was a Deals store. 3 months later, there is always only one cashier. Still relatively clean and organized but lots of bare spots on shelves or multiples of the same item instead of varying the selection. Example: Multiple bottles of volumizing shampoo but 0 bottles of other types. Frozen food variety is more limited than when they first opened. Size wise, I have to buy two bottles of juice instead of one to get the amount I need. It's an okay store, it's not terrible but it could be better. I miss Deals! I am spending less money at Dollar Tree because I am not finding the same type of items in Dollar Tree that I used to purchase in Deals and am having to shop elsewhere. read more

Shopping at dollar tree is definitely my guilty pleasure. Contrary to most "dollar stores" every single item here is actually 1 dollar, no exceptions. However, I can't give this location five stars only because they seem extremely understaffed. The lines get LONG and they'll just have one girl ringing everyone up. Terrible customer service. African American girl working counter was so rude. She needs to be fired. She treated just not me but others with a nasty attitude. Also so slow. She didn't want to work. I went here to find affordable decoration for my baby shower. They had large a selection of matching plates, cups, napkins, and wall decoration. We found matching helium balloons for the baby shower, but they did not have enough in stock. This store tends to have very low stock in many items. Many time the shelves are half empty at this location. So we went to the location on Francis Lewis Blvd. There we were able to find the number of balloons we needed. However we did not need them filled with helium till the next day. Before we purchased them we spoke to the store manager and asked if we could have them filled at the College Point location. She said to mention her name and show the receipt and it would be no problem. So on Sunday 5/15/16, the day of my shower, I sent my husband with the receipt and balloons to the College Point store, to have them filled. He spoke the store manager Jennifer who said she would not fill them. He mentioned the name of the store manager from the Francis Lewis location, and she replied that this was not her store to make that decision. He was then forced to go all the way back to the other location were they apologized for Jennifer's lack of customer service, and filled the balloons for him with no problem. The customer service here is definitely not what you would be expecting. I came here to get random stuff and so happened to stumble upon Yu-Gi-Oh! Cards for sale only $1 for the pack ! So I grabbed a few and went to the counter to check out. Mind you that I only had 6 items total, the line was excessively very long and there were two registers open with two young girls working the registers. The two girls were stopping ringing customers up to show each other their Instagram page and laugh about some guy. The one that I was waiting on was so slow that a man behind me started with her saying can you call someone else where she replied to keep quiet as it won't make the line go faster. She was very rude and barely wanted to work, all she can think about was when am I leaving that door. I was never and she took my Yu-Gi-Oh! Cards and put them to the side where I asked her why she didn't ring them she replied they not for sale. I asked if they're not for sale why would you put them out she said uhhh idk anyway this is the total like 2 something. I wanted to speak to a manager as I felt this was unfair where she refused to get one as she replied she is the assistant manager. I left very unhappy and honestly I would have given this place 1 star but only gave 2 for the good deals. Next I called the store a few mins later wanting to speak to a manager where she answers the phone laughing saying yo omg aiiiite call back in a hour cause they busy. She then hangs the phone up very hard. I called a hour later again and spoke to a manager who claimed they were never busy and had no clue what she was talking about. I reported the cards she didn't sell me and I was right if they item was out on the floor it should have been sold! They told me they were going to talk to her about it and it won't happen again. Of course words won't really give me what i wanted as I'm out of 3 good packs of cards and probably won't see them ever again. This without a doubt is the worst Dollar Tree in Queens and it's all because of the manager that works there. The gentleman (don't know why I referred to him as that?) is rude and he never takes anything back even if you have a receipt. Two times I tried to return broken items on the same day that I bought them and he refused to take them back even though I had the receipts. The last straw at this store came yesterday when I purchased ice cream bars for my 10 year old daughter. When we got home not only did the bars have freezer burn when we opened the box, they were melted inside the box down to the sticks. Since the store was closed by the time I got home, I put the box in my freezer and went back the next day and again, he refused to take them back, claiming that he had no idea if I had made the bars melt. When I took him to his store's freezer and showed him how most of the ice cream items in his freezer were melted he just walked away. Another customer in the store told him in front of me that the same thing happen to her last week and he also refused to take the melted items back. Buyer beware in this store, especially when buying frozen items! Save yourself the hassle of dealing with this guy and shop a few doors down at Dollar General, which is another dollar store that is located in the Whitepoint Shopping Center. read more
