Not only did the lighter come to $1, but I also found a scented candle that smelled divine. I browsed the store a bit too, and surprisingly only walked out with the lighter and candle. The checkout line was on the long side. When it did get to be my turn, I asked if they had Apple Pay. The lady ringing me up didn't know what I was talking about, so I said nevermind assuming they didn't and pulled out my card. At this point, the cashier and the customer behind me got into a conversation about not trusting anything requiring payments with one's phone. This conversation got a star taken off of what would've been my 4-star rating for the store. The cashier has no control over what another customer says, but to agree with the person behind me and have a conversation about it when I haven't even paid for my items yet is unbecoming.

Having fallen in love with the scent of a candle I got from another Dollar Tree, I came to this…read morelocation seeking the same candle. I'm assuming the fact that it's close to the Holidays had the store bustling. Or perhaps it's always like that because everything's $1, I'm not sure. I do know that getting to the candle section and having some scent therapy helped with being in the crowd. This Dollar Store had what I was looking for. I do wish it had been a bit more kempt. Something tells me a customer laid a partially empty soda bottle smack-dab in the middle of a bunch of candles, but I wasn't there to witness it so who knows? Speaking of customers, as I was in line to check out, the line was long. There were two lines open at the time. As I hoped things would go quickly, an employee exclaimed that he opened another line. I wasn't sure I heard correctly, so by the time he said it again, I moved to his line and was the third customer there (still better than where I was.) When the cashier greeted the customer in front of me and asked how he was doing, the customer replied: "I would have been a lot better if you were here 30 minutes ago." He said this a couple of times, and the cashier handled it very well. They ended up talking about something completely different, and that customer left on a good note. Soon after, I left on a good note as well.

Normally it's stocked really well. sthey have boxes laying around that hasn't been put on the Shelf yet. People tend to still rifle through the boxes and leave things in shambles. It seems it's more the customers being rude then it is the workers not doing their jobs. The lines at the cash registers are usually seven or eight people deep, but it moves pretty quickly. The cashiers are always friendly, and they seem to always have something to talk about with you. If they can't find anything to talk about, they will comment on something that you bought to strike up a conversation.

Dollar tree is a bargain store in the same mold as a dollar general, everything keeps a dollar and five Belows. This particular location is medium sized and does a good job of keeping things in stock and keeping up with the overall cleanliness of the store. Which is something a lot of bargain stores struggle with. I usually will pop into this location if my daughters have a school project or looking for quick and cheap art supplies or crafting supplies for something. The kiddos are either doing or planning. Overall it's a solid store and starts pretty true it it's name and has low bargain prices.
