To whom it may concern,
My name is Nikki, and I visited your store #3434 on the evening of 3/25/2019 , as I have every month for two years. I am a high level director for a F50 company with an HQ in Fishers, IN. I'm the head of the Inclusion Committee for my BSNA. I visit your location to purchase inclusion gift packages for 280 employees every month; not including any personal visits I make.
I visited this evening to purchase what would have been well over $1000.00 in merchandise, around 19:20. When I arrived at the store I decided to use the restroom first. I could not find an employee to provide ID as the signed required. When I attempted the restroom door, I was screamed at to "go away". I presumed this was a customer and thought nothing of it, I waited near the restroom while looking through which bags I was going to purchase to begin my journey. An employee exited the restroom, as I followed her to the front of the store to provide ID as was requested by the signed, from approximately 100 feet away I was yelled at, that the restroom closed at 7pm. I responded with "I'm sorry, I had no way of knowing that" and WAS going to continue what I had intended to embark upon when arriving. She continued to mutter that it was locked because of "people like me".
At this point, admittedly, I became incredibly appalled at her behavior. I requested her manager, at which time she advised me she was the manager. I requested her boss's name and working hours and was advised that she was not going to give me that information because she believed I was mad that the restroom was closed. I'd like to make it perfectly clear, as a procedure setter myself, I understand and respect process. She was merely doing her job by locking it and leaving it so. My complaint is her appalling, vocal, behavior to myself and in front of customers. As if that itself wasn't bad enough, I proceeded to purchase one item and move to another location where I would be treated as a customer , not a criminal.
While I was looking at merchandise she proceeded to tell a half dozen customers that "people like her like to come in and use the bathroom to steal things and it wasn't happening on her watch". After I checked out, with an individual named Sierra (who it bears noting did not interact with me at all. She simply flipped the screen around to show me my total. She spent the entire time involved in conversation about taking vacation with the manager)
I quietly moved to the corner of the store by the managers office, at which time she slammed the door in my face. Literally. Then she came back out and raised her voice to say "bye. You can leave now". I asked for her name (her name tag said De Anna, but I always double check). She said Bertha. I asked if it was De Anna or Bertha, she said it didn't matter and that I could leave now. She continued to raise her voice and tell me to leave. Refusing her managers name. Which Sierra did finally chime in and state was Sherri. When I asked how she could be reached and at what times she was in the office, I was continued to be berated by De Anna/Bertha for being upset about the restroom. Every time I attempted to speak she would yell over me "bye", slam the door to the office and immediately come back out to yell again. This was in front of , at this time, a dozen customers waiting in line for these two employees to spend there time yelling and berating me. She refused to tell me the store number, Sierra refused to give me a receipt, and told me they are told by their corporate office not to give out phone numbers. I tried to explain that under no circumstances was I asking for somebody's personal contact information, but a way to speak with "Sherri" upon her return to the office.
I will be filing complaints with the BBB and as many social media sites as I can if I do not see a resolution to this.
