Its clean, well stocked, and the employees are super friendly. I found everything i needed and more of course. The managers were having a meeting by the front door as i was rolling my cart out and i had 4 bags and some extra items. I forgot that the wheels lock. Well when I walked in the store it's very dirty boxes everywhere went to check out the girl that help me was horrible very rude very inconsiderate asked me if I'd like to purchase the bag I said yes please she gives me a bag that's ripped halfway down I said am I buying that bag and she say yes so I asked for another bag she said they're all ripped so then I don't feel like I should have to pay for a ripped bag She said they you don't get a bag. I went into Dollar Tree to return some decorations from a baby shower I threw a few months ago. I bought a TON of decorations and just didn't use them all. I always buy way more than I need just in case! When I walked in the lines were short which was AWESOME because sometimes when I got into a Dollar Tree it seems like they ALWAYS have an incredibly long line. I walked in with my bag of returns, receipt in hand ready when a Dollar Tree employee stopped me and asked if I was making an exchange. She informed me that they do not do returns, only exchanges... I was pretty bummed about this but I thought, Oh well, I'm sure I can find something better than baby decorations and of course I did! When I checked out the cashier was polite and quick. She made the exchange process simple and I was out pretty fast! What more could I ask for?! read more

DO NOT GO TO THIS DOLLAR STORE!!!! there are a ton more Dollar Trees all around the area. The people that work here SHOULD NOT HAVE JOBS!!! Beyond RUDE employees. The lady that works the cash register completely ignores everything you say. You ask how she is doing, nothing. You ask her about a product, nothing. If you ask for bags she'll give you ONE for SOME of your stuff. Then their d*mn carts don't go out the door. So you're stuck trying to lug a bunch of sh*t loose to your car. You ask her to exchange one item for another because they scam you and have a better item at the register not on the shelves and she COMPLETELY ignores you. Absolutely NO customer service skills. They have a line wrapped around the store and no one to help check people out but this druggie. This store is a joke. I will NEVER return to this store. I would have just left my stuff and walked out but I needed something and didn't have time to go elsewhere. Never. Ever. Again. Beware!!!! read more

2 hours later this Dollar Tree right here on Folsom Boulevard is very tacky very ignorant I told one of the gentleman saw the Twix ice cream cup that's been sitting there fees act like he had to think about it before taking it like he was going to put it back in the freezer look like it's been out for an hour they'll clerk Stephen or Steph whatever his name is all my canned goods and with my pastry smash all of my s*** up okay very tacky so he can hurry up and talk to some drunk that came in the store very tacky you know I work hard just like everybody else I work a nine-to-five actually I work a 4 to 2 a.m. it's crazy how you get treated here I'm not a low-income lady I work hard for mine and it is not right the way you get treated in this in the store you guys need to stop her and these young people are treat them better ways of how to take care of the customers make for eye contact instead of talk and everybody else in the line and focus on one most of my project was sitting on the counter with even backed up and then I felt rushed please management please talk to your employees about this this is very tacky I do a lot of walking around checking stores out and I didn't like the way I was treated at all a nice customer that was in the store sell me and my daughter has was fool and they offered as a car thank you but your store is very nasty and looks like is trash everywhere it's just crazy one lady was sitting there filling up her balloons just looking very tacky but yeah you guys need to work on your customer service and very nasty and store read more

I have found this Dollar Tree to be below average. It's not a large location but that's not a very good excuse for poor selection in my book. They just don't seem to get in the nicer little things I've seen at the two other Dollar Tree Stores I shop here in Sac. Their crew is okay, but the turnover rate is crazy high so their knowledge of the store is limited. I had reason to ask a question of one of the managers the other day and he seemed barely interested in talking to me. I will say the store is pretty clean and neat and for me it's conveniently close. However, if there were another Dollar Tree or 99Cent Store as close I would very likely avoid this location altogether. read more

Being a Dollar Tree fan, my wife and I have been in a lot of Dollar Tree Stores over the Sacramento, Placer and El Dorado counties. The Dollar Tree on Folsom is consistently on the bottom on the pile. The customer service is horrendous. Officious at best, rude at the worst. I went in to put together some filled "shoebox" donations for kids and ended up with so much more stuff. Right now they have a lot of Christmas stuff out and I had to grab some wrapping stuff. $1 for rolls of wrapping paper, gift bags, bows, gift boxes, gift tags, etc. Everyone was friendly in the store and everything was in great order. read more

Surprisingly this is another one of the few organized and neat Dollar Tree stores. This is another good spot for cheap snacks (pretzels, crackers, etc) as well as party supplies like plastic utensils and table cloths. There are also other goodies to be found, such as cheap plastic storage containers and freezer bags which we use for sectioning bulk purchases and the like. In addition, when we are doing a big camping trip or day at the river with lots of kids, we will pick up cheap sand toys, water noodles, beach balls, etc. Cheap and good fun! During the holidays this can also be a good spot for finding holiday party stuff, items to create the ugly sweaters or other costumes that a lot of the parties we go to seem to request of their guests, and of course the silly stocking stuffers for that Secret Santa recipient at work. read more

This location is very clean and usually has a good selection of various staple items. I like the fact that I can run in here for work and pick up office supplies or some kleenex and don't have to fight the crowds for parking, fight the crowds in line and wait forever to be rung up. (Wal-Mart/Target--take notice!) The staff is friendly and parking is good. A great place when you need a last minute gift bag or office item! read more

I usually wouldn't review a dollar store but the customer service is terrible. There is one register open with about 15 customers in line and I have a 5 year old that needs to use the restroom and they don't have public restrooms... So what your telling me is that I need to put my items back and leave and come back. No thanks. And when I have about 15 items she asks me if I need a bag? Well being that you guys don't allow carts outside I think so.... Instead of all these rules when I shop. I'll just go to another location. read more

Jessie was my cashier and he was very rude, he didn't greet me. His customer service skills were horrible and he made me very uncomfortable.

I Love This Dollar Tree on Folsom especially during the holidays they have everything you need to start your holiday spirit. :) They also have nice respectful cashiers like Nesha. I'm sorry but I totally disagree with these reviews. As many years as I've been coming to this dollar tree its just Getting worse. The store never seems to have anything stocked on the shelves I've seen so many expired things that have been around for so many years. I don't know what's going on with the management team but it's horrific and disappointing. I tried coming to the the store daily to try to speak to the manager but he's never there. The assistant manager Vicki, her name I believe, is rude and arrogant. When I walk in I always see her on the side smoking a cigarette. Also when it's time for me to check out I'm usually standing in line for almost 30mins. Another complaint I have is the bathroom are disgusting and I've seen roaches and mice in there. Someone really needs to do something about this store cause obviously the management team is doing nothing about it! read more

I just have to review this store and say how helpful one of the employees was in going out of his way to find a particular item for me (young Hispanic gentleman). He scowered the isles to help me find a particular crafting item, which I couldn't find. He even offered to call another store and locate another item for me which was out of stock in their store. It was super refreshing to receive this kind of 5 star customer service- especially since its just a Dollar Tree Store. read more

1st time going to this dollar tree. its much cleaner and has much more things than the other ones. i met a lady here, she been unemployed for 2 years, but she was buying things to donate, she inspired me to do the same. and i hope more people get inspired to donate to the needy even if you dont have much, im sure you have more than the homeless. i dont know why. when i see someone with a big heart it inspires me. the quote i saw "kindness is contagious"... the place has many cheap things but theyre also very nice. many batman spider man and spongebob things for my son. the cashier are very nice. read more

Great costumer service. Needs to clean up a little. I've been going here for a couple years and I haven't had troubles with them.

There was only two people and there was 20+ people waiting in line on one cashier (also dirty and disorganized).

The cleanest, best stocked and helpful staff of any dollar store I've ever shopped! Even the bathroom is clean, and that's saying alot!

I love dollar tree, but, it does have some issues. I brought party favors there and none of them worked. Likewise, the lighters I got there did not work. Also, the lines are too long and they rarely open up an extra line unless you ask. The food section does have some deals and their painting supplies section and tool section is very good. I have saved a bundle on paint brushes. read more
