Great way to start our shopping adventure on Saturday!…read more The store works in conjunction with the church next door. Fair warning there is no customer restrooms or fitting rooms; however, if you buy something that doesn't fit you can bring it back for store credit. I would say this is one of the better Thrift stores out there. They have second hand items on the cheap and new to like-new items that look like someone bought something from Walmart or Target, damaged the box or tried it out once and returned it for a refund. Although its stuff that someone might have returned the items are mostly in exceptional condition and are worth the buy. The store has something for everyone: Tool sets and maintenance supplies such as oil and filters; Toys, puzzles, card games, video games, DVD's CD's; lots of new and like-new shoes, dress shoes, boots, and sandals, tons of clothing and some fancy dresses, purses, watches and hats; skin care products, hair dyes, lipstick, lotions, and a variety of other makeup products; LED lighting for homes, decoration, the pool and more; household items, small kitchen appliances, landscaping supplies, grass seed and so much more. The staff are super friendly and the store is overall kept in good order. Pricing is fair but I think they could lower the price on some of the work boots, and other items, even though they have original tags on them they have been opened and or slightly used. I highly recommend stopping in if you enjoy everything thrift since there is just so much here, you are bound to find something to take home.

Pricing is fair for snacks, canned goods, some drinks, potato chips, birthday cards, stationary and cleaning supplies; however, you can find better deals at Walmart and Aldi. Regardless, There are times I will just spend the extra money here so I don't have to deal with the riff-raff at Walmart and Aldi or that entire parking lot fiasco altogether. This store supplies just about anything you could need. They carry frozen food items, beer and wine, minor automotive supplies and oil, kitchen utensils, hand tools, kids toys and books, pet supplies, bread / milk / eggs, party decorations, helium filled balloons, tobacco products and so much more. The staff here are always friendly, but I feel bad for them because I know that they got it pretty tough due to the lack of help from corporate and because of the bad apples who shop at the store. Customer flow here can be heavy at times and most do not have the best manners. I hate to see this place get trashed by customers because their is just not enough employees to keep up with the mess. Many times the one or two employees working have to take care of everything including stocking/organizing the shelves. For the most part I'm very satisfied with my experiences at the store. Staff do a great job and they get me in and out quickly. Even with the bad apples coming in and wrecking the joint, I am still able to find and get what I need when I need it. Thank you to the staff who keep this DG operating like a fine oiled machine. The customers who don't wreck the place appreciate all you do ;)

The only way to get in here somewhat economically is if you're going South on 17-92 and turn right into the plaza then leave the plaza going west on 25th street (HE Thomas). The reason for this visit was to catch a Thanksgiving deal! Spend a minimum of $25 (excluding price of turkey, beer & wine or gift cards) and pay only 49 cents per pound on a Honeysuckle Whole Turkey. The issue was the store had only two turkeys remaining in the display and they were roughly 8-9 pounds each which wouldn't cut it for Thanksgiving. Fortunately, the clerk offered us the same deal for the Butterball brand. The Turkey we purchased was 12.66 pounds at $1.39 per pound at a total cost of $17.60. With the discount plus taxes the Turkey ended up costing us roughly 51 cents per pound at a total cost of $6.50. That's about a 37% savings, not a bad deal if you ask me. Although I appreciate the great deal we received here today, I would not continue to shop here often. You're not going to "Save-a-Lot". Aldi blows these prices away and the food quality at Aldi is superior. Additionally, the store layout is not organized in a fashion that allows customers to find things easily. Management should take note of how Walmart and Publix coordinate their floor plans. I look forward to seeing a change for the better at this store and would be willing to come back more frequently if one ever occurs. Until then, I will wait for the next great discount.

A simple concept of eliminating the bells and whistles and giving lower prices. This Save-A-Lot is typical of many, a small store with no frills. You don't go here for the aesthetics or scenery, you go here to save a buck or two. Not a huge selection but what they do have is usually less than what you will pay at other stores. The stuff is just sort of dumped out on the floor without much thought but that's all right because you can easily sort out what's here. The folks at the check out are very pleasant and nice and always smile and say hello. Certainly not the largest or most diverse of stores, but you will end up paying less than at other groceries. It's clean but kind of chaotic. You take your chance here, you will save money but will end up not necessarily with what you want but instead with what they happen to have.
