This is called The White Oak Dollar City Store . This place is called Dollar City Syltore next door to Giant and other stores . Its has a huge parking area outside . As yoy walk in they have all sorts of great stuff kichen supplies detergents , Journals date books, Party plates , flowers , Hallmark cards and so much to choose from here inside this place . I used to love getting Journals date books , Sodas , Snacks and more .ihadnt been here in a long time . Today was my first return there in a long time. Irs owned by a spanish family there . I left ly resume sine yhey dint have an online application thing . I hope they choose me since that store has my ligente ,My People , The Spanish . I want to he the bridge between two worlds the Americans And the Spanish . I love customer Service customer interaction , I love cashiering . I love hep8ng people get what they need and desire . But I want the jib without being judged or used bad politics against. During the pandemic it was all of us Americans faults fir the inexcusable, Unjustifiable, Reprehensible unlawful, Unjustifiable behaviors that were caused and it shouldn't ve tolerated in any place of business at all . Most of the stores here are chain stores, Lowes, Petsmart, and Dick's Sporting Goods being some of the bigger names. Costco also has a location with a gas station also. There is a selection of restaurants that are a mix of national chains (Chik-fil-A, Chipotle, Starbucks) along with some that seem to be more local. I took off a star because getting in and out of the parking lot can be a bear quite often due to the volume of people shopping there. There are limited exits and especially trying to get out from the Lowe's/Chic-Fil-A side of the complex can result in quite a wait to get out. Glad it's here for when the local merchants further into the city don't have what I was looking for.

They have refrigerators for drinks such as sidas . They have Movie and comic hero posters school goods , And snack foods chips and other goodies .Even cell phone chargers and more ,Plus they have things for all party celebration parties and decor and all holiday decorations as well . I love rhid olave its where I get my bibl and other word searches , I get chargers for my cell phone there . I get Journals for my Crusader Chronicles . Including the Shopping bags which aren't bad . They have cashier self help and ine regular personal cashier person to help out . But to me they need more staff to restock shelves abd get things prepared there . I recently applied for 5 Below on Cherry Hill Road in the orchard Court Shopping Center . I want the job there without Judgment , Fear, Or Bad Politics ive heard enough ever since the pandemic. I respect the staff there , But management needs to have change in their demeanor when hiring to give people like ke chances to prove what we can do to be great assets to the team .. The items are typical for a Five Below, but as other reviews have stated the prices have gone up. I can verify that a lot of the items in here are now over $5. Kind of like $5.55 Below now. There are items less than the fiver dollar mark, but those aren't a steal anymore. You can find those at any other store anymore. Dollar Tree, Dollar General, even Target which is a few stores down from this. I'm not sure why, but this store has a division going on now. I am so used to the stores that flowed, but it's like going into a different space where they have the home and pet items. It even felt like that for the snack section, like it was divided off from everything else. Then there are the registers. It's all self checkout now. There is one register that appears that someone can run it, but there is never anyone behind it. They actually stand in the midst of the self checkouts directing traffic. Just carry your items out of here too once you are done or be charged for a bag.

3/19/21…read more Congressional Plaza,   A place I use to travel to for a hair straighten (aka a perm) or a haircut. I might then  walk over to the Tower Records and buy a movie soundtrack or a necklace.      These two places  were high on my list. There even use to be a movie theater here, but that went the way of the dodo. Speaking of going the way of the dodo, Tower Records also went that way too. The space for the old Tower Records has been taken up only to shutdown two times that I can remember.  Today I learned that Barns&Nobles has taken up residence there. Even though it is only one floor,  the space is huge.  Tower Records had some problems filling the space, but they did it with the jewelry section, the adult videos/magazines section and the standard magazine sections.   I think Barns&Nobles won't have a problem filling the space.  I know there is a Starbucks store at Congressional Plaza akready,  but I have a feeling another one might be added inside the Barns&Nobles store at some point...if there isn't one already. I will have to check out this plaza the next time I am in town. I wanna see the inside of this Barns&Nobles; as well, as other areas of the plaza.

3/19/21 A lot has changed since I lived in Rockville…read moreMaryland. I have seen new buildings get made in spots that were once parking spaces.  I will admit,  there were a lot of parking spaces. Barns&Nobles was the main attraction for this shopping area with Starbucks being an added bonus. People then traveled to other spots of this shopping center. Chick Fill-A was the newest building to be added before I moved to Virginia.  I never saw the grand opening, but I did try the chicken the next time I was in town. Last weekend I was back in Rockville area and saw the Barns&Nobles sign wasn't present.  I saw the Starbucks Coffee sign and started wondering if Barns&Nobles went out of business.  I did not notice that the business had moved to Congressional Plaza.  Why the move? Could be a number of reasons.   I remember when Montrose Crossing went by another name, but just like the name Berenstein Bears, it no longer exists.  I also don't remember the name it use to be called. My mom loved shopping at Marshlls for clothes and whatever else she could find. As a kid, I found shopping for clothing very boring.   Yes, most male kids and some females too found shopping for clothes boring.  Now I am left with memories from a time I would go shopping with my mom.  As the song goes, "you don't what you got till it's gone."  Yes, those were good times, even if I did not see it that way at the time.  Without the Barns&Nobles to headline the main attraction,  I think the decline for this shopping area will show up bigtime during the summertime of 2021. Time will tell.
