This is easily the worst Dollar Tree in the DMV.I am writing to file a complaint regarding my in-store pickup experience on January 30, 2026. I received an email notification stating that my order was ready for pickup. Based on this confirmation, I went to the store to retrieve my order. When I arrived, the store manager was engaged in a video chat on her personal cell phone. I was informed that only one of the two packages in my order had been brought out from the back of the store. The manager told me that the second package had not been retrieved and refused to go to the back of the store to get it. This was extremely frustrating, as I would not have made the trip to the store had I not received an email clearly stating that my order was ready for pickup. read more

I should have just waited and made my way to another Dollar Tree location, but my curiosity got the best of me. I thought to myself, what would it hurt to just make a quick stop here. Well, I should have just waited. I came in here with a list of things to grab, but was sorely disappointed when I didn't find much of what I needed on that list. I honestly shouldn't be mad about that, but I was forced to make another stop after the fact to complete my list. I was kind of glad that I had only grabbed a basket for this stop. I did find a few items, threw them in there and forced myself to browse each aisle just to make sure I didn't overlook any area for an item. I ended up with a few bags for under $20 so not all was lost during this visit. read more

Management needs to be held accountable. Every time I visit this store there are more unopened merchandise boxes on the floor than the items on the shelf. The line is always long. There is only one cashier. The frozen section was completely empty and everything is a mess and scattered. If they cannot get this store in order it, it should be shut down. It a shame that our stores in the black community look like this. What manager or owner will allow this? Get it together. read more

Be careful when you shop at the store if you don't get bags they will charge you for bags. So just make sure before you leave the store you check your receipt. I don't care if it's for one bag two bags or three bags still your money. Beware!!! read more

I have a formula for any dollar store I visit: school supplies, craft items, gift cards/gift bags, snacks for road trips, and party plates/napkins. This store had loads of supplies. They were still in boxes, stacked at nearly every aisle. The aisles can't accommodate two carts passing each other. If you linger to look at anything, you are in someone's way. I did not enjoy this visit. The store had a nice security guard. The area was sketchy in the daylight. Cars were parked two and three cars deep, for a single space. The location was also hard to safely exit the parking lot to return to Michigan Avenue. I didn't find many school items. It was too crowded to check out the food rows. the best find was a bottle of Pedialite. I wouldn't go out of my way for another visit. The cashiers were nice. read more

How can you not love spending only a dollar on hundreds of items you buy at CVS or Rite Aid on a regular or special occasion? I needed an extra pie pan for the pies I plan to make for two Labor Day parties. They have them. Bubble wrap for the cookies I plan to mail to California. They have it. Foam board for the crafty bulletin board I plan to make for my new classroom (because you all should know that teachers spend their own money ALL the time). They have it. Everything's a dollar! Or 2/$1.00. Like Adam J. said, the cashiers are friendly, and so are the other workers who will stop what they are doing to help you find what you are looking for. I LOVE DOLLAR TREE but this one does not have the variety as others. This store also stays busy which is probably why the shelves are empty a lot. And even though they have stock, seems like there isn't enough staff to focus just on filling the shelves. I asked for something one day and they had it. Just had to get to the box and get out the quantity I needed, which ended being half the box. But I waited bcuz I needed it. If I need mass quantity again, I just ordered online. read more

Closes Dollar Tree to me however I hate the fact that the selection offered is not as good as other locations. Shelves are empty due to lack of restocking, there are boxes everywhere, merchandise on the floor scared being stepped on. I wish management would take notice and make an effort. This is the best dollar tree in the area! There are two others that are close by, but they feel sketchy. This store is pretty well stocked, it's never empty, but the workers do a decent job stocking the shelves, and checking people out. 4-stars because it's not as big as some of the others I've been to. This used to Be a JUMBO Back in the early 70s It Borders Michigan Ave & Eastern Ave at the DC/ MD Line northeast. The Parking lot is Very Small (street parking on the side street is permitted) You can find the same items Sometimes what is sold out in other DT You'll find here. It's a dollar tree. It would never be my primary shopping source, but I usually stop here before going to the grocery store or drug store just to see if there is anything I need on my list that I can find here. I mean why pay $4.29 for something if you can pay $1, especially if it isn't something that major like batteries, a spare toothbrush or toothpaste for a trip, coloring book and crayons to occupy a kid, paper towels, etc. There is a parking lot here in which you can park for free, but it is usually full. However, you can often find parking on the street right in front of it for free, just pay attention to signs on what side of the street to park. It's not as large as other dollar tree stores, but has several items. They try their best to keep everything in stock, but several older residents in the area, especially those without cars or who don't want to deal with traffic come here. Also those who may not have the extra money to buy name brand all the time. Therefore bleach, detergent, etc main household items are gone just a day after the delivery arrives. They keep the store decent as far as clean and the cashiers are friendly and efficient as they can be. Not the greatest place, but worth a 5-10 min look inside. Convenient. read more
