This is a chain that buys customer returns and end-of-season items and sells them at a discount. Think Amazon returns, overstock or out of season Target items, etc. Then, everything is dumped into bins for folks to look through: it's not even sorted into "soft" and "hard" like at the Goodwill bins. But the perk is, everything is new with tags / barely used! The pricing is unique - it goes: $10 Fridays $7 Saturdays $5 Sundays $3 Mondays $2 Tuesdays $1 Wednesdays 25c Thursdays We came on a Sunday and found a few items: an electric beard trimmer, a plant pot, an outdoor rug, Duke Cannon soap. However, I would say if I were to come back, I'd probably come on either $10 Friday hoping for a bigger ticket item, or on Tuesday/Wednesday because most stuff just wasn't worth $5. Lots of plastic items, cheap items and felt too small/cheap for $5. There were lots of clothes, but they were mixed in with the hard goods so hard to go through, and most were Target or Amazon brands so didn't see much value in going through them on $5 day - for me at least. If you're looking for kids toys and stuff, household decor and trinkets, acrylic organizers, and gifts - this is a great place to stock up on the cheaper days! Super interesting to look through. I don't think I'll be back anytime soon, but very interesting!

It's not just cheaply made items either. You will find a variety of name brand items like toys, sporting goods, candies, t-shirts, etc here. You can also find cheap phone chargers, headphones, iPad cases, etc as well! I saw some realllyyyy cute Easter basket goodies on the low low today so I'm excited to go back and grab stuff for our kids Easter baskets this year! I walked out with a gift bag, tissue paper, birthday card- your typical dollar store items as well! BUT I also got some Marvel t-shirts for $5 and some Brain Quest trivia cards for my son for only $3! And a bunch of candies that were 10 for $1 or 4 for $1 depending on what they were! I shop Walmart's online store because items in store are not available. The delivery driver had…read moretrouble finding my home. He called me and when I told him how to get to me, he said "I don't speak English". This is a HUGE problem because the sign to my home are written in English and if I can't verbally communicate to him in English, then what's the next alternative? I told him to stay there and I would go find him. I think he understood me. I had to drive my car out to find him in order to get my package. Now I'm hesitating on whether to order again from Walmart because online will not allow me to go to the store to pick it up and instead it will be locally delivered. Please do better Walmart. If you cannot find drivers that speak English, then allow me to pick up the item in store.

We did end up buying some soaps and the line moved pretty fast with 4 cashiers working. I found it funny that they only had huge oversize bags that would fit pillows but if you were buying a bunch of small stuff it would be a waste to the environment! I was really excited to see a thrift shop, as I really do love thrift shops. HCI Giving Tree is not your typical thrift store. It is a small clean store, with really nice products. This isn't really the stuff I am looking for when I go thrifting, however all proceeds from store sales support hospice services provided to patients and families served by HCI Hospice Care Services. I did end up purchasing something small to help support the cause. However I don't know if I would regularly return for big deals. I hope they continue to do what they are doing for the cause they are doing it for. Very cool.

I typically run my debit card as credit but was unable to. The person who checked me out offered me no assistance when I asked for help to run my card as credit. I happened to recently get this card, and I could not remember my PIN number (yes this part is my fault). However, the person who helped checked me out should have offered to help me figure out how to run my card as credit instead of just staring at me with an attitude. I ended up telling that person that I could not pay for my items and left because I was so frustrated. I was very disappointed and do not plan on going back to this store anytime soon.
