They do have helium here again so you can get balloons here. Some of their snacks here are old so be mindful of the expiration dates. Tried this Dollar Tree as it was on my errands route. It was much better than I expected based on the other reviews. I found it to be pretty organized and stocked fairly well. Only observed a few areas on the shelves out of stuff. They have majority of the items that typical Dollar Tree carries. It's a good size (medium) store compared to ones in other areas. I was fortunate that it wasn't busy when I was there during the week mid evening hours. However, I did have to wait for the associate to blow up several balloons. She was the only one working register while the other guys was putting away stock. Overall it was good experience. Not my favorite Dollar Tree but would definitely go again when I need few household items and in the area. Took couples stars off for being out of water which is one of the main items I came in for. This store has horrible management, and specifically the manager Mohammed Ashiek. I had the terrible experience of attempting to exchange two picture frames. The first frame was too large. The second frame was defective. After taking the second frame out of the packaging, a corner of the frame was broken. The damage was not noticeable while in the packaging. The manager, Mohammed, said he would not accept the exchange because it was out of the packaging. It made no sense , because he was accepting the exchange for the frame out of the package that was too large for my picture. How could someone have so little business acumen? The frame was a $1.25!!! My receipt showed purchases of over 20 items on the day of the sale. Anyone shopping at Dollar Tree knows these products aren't of the highest quality. Dollar Tree should hire a better manager, because Mohammed is terrible. read more

Just like every other Dollar Tree, everything's a dollar! While CVS and Rite Aid occasionally put their school composition books and notebooks on sale, Dollar Tree has them, and they are always just a dollar. Need plastic champagne glasses for NYE? A six pack is just a dollar. While this location doesn't seem as big as others, and I couldn't find a staff member to ask for help, it's still a good place for things you didn't know you needed until you spied them here. read more

This store is larger and better organized than most of the chain. Found an item I'd been looking for without luck at other $ Trees, led to it by a friendly clerk. Plenty of parking in the shopping center with H mart. Very helpful staff. A definite stop when I happen to be in the area. read more

I managed to buy a box of pink flamingos, Cheese Curls, pregnancy tests, Jordache cologne, a dozen 2 liter bottles of Star Spangled soda and numerous of other goodies in my two carts full and you didn't even surpass $100. I was looking for the largest plastic mailing bag but there were none on the shelf. A few minutes later, a store associate who had been putting things on shelves found me - she went into the back and found 2 of the bags. Yes, the store is crowded and the parking can be difficult( not the store's fault) but it is useful to find cleaning supplies and storage items inexpensively. read more

I love Dollar Tree. It's typically my happy place to browse cheap makeup, kitchen supplies and greeting cards in one stop. But THIS is the worst Dollar Tree I've ever seen. It's consistently dirty and messy (disorganized is being kind, it's genuinely disgusting!). I ALWAYS find opened food and products in the aisles, it just isn't maintained whatsoever. There are always no more than 2 cashiers up at the front. Long lines are exactly what this store has to offer. Not to mention the floor is completely dirty and disgusting. Like you would genuinely think with all the cleaning products they have on their shelves that they would use some to spiffy up, but absolutely not. The store must sell loads of items because each time I have stopped by, there are boxes blocking part of many aisles. The inventory is okay for snack items. I don't know who the target audience is at this location. It isn't me. There are rarely more than 2 visible employees on any visit. They are friendly, but unavailable. If you need an emergency item - band aids, beverage, pen, you will find what you need. If you were expecting a clever gag gift or amazing item, you won't find it here. Don't be in a rush, since you can't fully travel down most aisles. read more

I recently moved to this area from California where I love going to the Dollar Tree store. They have always been neat, clean and tidy. This particular store set me back from the moment I walked in, with how messy and unkept it was. I have gone in repeatedly on numerous occasions and it's always the same. Boxes in the aisle, merchandise all disheveled on the shelves, dirty floors and employees with attitudes. The final straw that made me write this review, happened on July 3rd when after picking up a few items I waited patiently in a line (there were 2 registers open both with LONG lines) with 8 people in front of me while the cashier was having trouble with the check that the customer wanted to write and she had to go get help from a supervisor. The supervisor came they spent several minutes working on the issue only to have the register freeze up. So then the supervisor says she'll take everyone else in line at another register. At which point, everyone made mad dash to get over to the next register to make sure they kept their place in line. Two adult males who had been in my line but several people behind me managed to get ahead of everyone else who had been waiting so patiently. I found myself unable to control my emotions. We had all been waiting in this very very slow line and these two guys had the audacity to to sneak in. I went up to them and politely told them that it wasn't cool that they had snuck in. They didn't bother to look up or apologize. It was a very hot day with long lines, and it's really a recipe for customer dissatisfaction. The supervisor should have clearly stated to everyone waiting that she would take us in the order that they were in. If the store manager or owner cared about the store they would keep it neater and cleaner. It's dumpy appearance makes me feel like I'm not a valued customer worthy of having a clean and tidy store. Shame on Dollar Tree. I appreciate the value I get, but this store needs a major overhaul or change of ownership. read more

I can't complain about a dollar store where everything is a dollar. Only thing that I wished it was different here was organization and shipment processing. This is one of the worst dollar stores I think today was my last time coming I don't mind driving s little further for quality! This one particular store is always short staffed and has long unnecessary lines! I came in at 11:20 am on November 8, 2018 into this crowded, junky, mess of a store with my baby the car seat couldn't find a cart they are all in the back of the store. Then the African American employee with the thinning locs cut me off as I was turning down the already crowded aisle that had boxes everywhere lucky for me the customer behind him was sweet and had common sense and let me pass! I took my full cart left it right at the front door and my baby and am now headed out of my way to get the items that I originally came to this crappy location to get! read more

I hereby give my honest review of this 3rd World store. I'm not talking about Dollar Tree Stores Inc. in general. I'm talking about this particular one, operating in Wheaton, MD, in the same shopping center as the H-Mart Korean Market. I'm never going there again. You go inside, and find as long a line as ever. It's ALWAYS been like that. EVERYONE standing in line looks dejected. I don't blame the poor souls. They obviously don't know any better. It's ok, though, it's awfully overcrowded, just like the Montgomery County highways are. And the cops only pull over the straight people. Phone in to the police about any kind of violation, and they are POWERLESS to do anything about it. Something needs to be done. Montgomery County is overdue for a revamping. Why haven't the officials taken note, by now? Anyway, back to this horrible little store. Inside, it doesn't shine. Even the Advanced Auto next door, begins to give you the same kind of impression. Anyway, The Dollar Tree, here, is just short of filthy, where you don't even want your shoulder to brush against anything, as you attempt to hurry out the store. The people that are supposed to work here don't look after their store. I hate to think what their homes are like. Or, how they're kids will grow up like. This is the worst dollar Tree ever! This is my second review. I received a call from the new manager after my last assuring me he'd fix the problems. A slight improvement after that but it sure didn't last long. The previous pictures tell it like it is. This place is never stocked. The shelves are mostly empty. It looks like sometimes they try to put up a few things but it's few and far between. The place is dirty and old. I know this is just a dollar store but hey we would like a pleasant shopping experience none the less. If daytime stocking is a problem, then how about hiring people to stock shelves when the store is closed. Clean it up! read more

Last night I dropped my son and his 2 friends off so they can run in and get sum candy before they walk to the rec center next door to play basketball and noticed before I pulled off that the cashier stopped them at the door and instructed them to put their book bags beside the front door. I instantly realize what is going on so I step out my car and ask the cashier to speak to the manager on duty. I proceed to tell the manager that I dont appreciate my kids being told to leave their bags at the door when meanwhile I pointed out other patrons in the store who had book bags and big bags walking around just fine. Why were these other patrons not told to leave their bags by the front door as well? I said what is up with my kids being told to do that? I said so you just assume that 3 black teens walking into a store with bags that they are going to steal? I said that is egregiously discriminatory and truly disrespectful and I will not allow my kids or any other kids to be treated like this. The manager tells me that they make all teenagers put their things by the door before coming into the store. I said if that is truly your policy then "ALL" patrons, regardless of age or color should be made to do the same. You cannot enforce a set of rules for only 1 particular group and not all. The manager proceeds to tell me out her own 2 lips "We have had a lot of problems with stealing from the black kids" admitting that this store only treats the children/children of color in this manner. I went there today for my sisters birthday balloons and the lady said she did not have any. I waited in a 15-20 minute line and they did not bother telling anyone that they did not have any birthday balloons. They had the balloon images up, but did not put a sign up that said they didn't have birthday balloons. They should have put a sign up or taken the birthday balloons down. read more
