I've never met a Home Goods that I didn't like, until I visited this one! Sure, it's huge and carries an extremely large amount of items for every single space inside and outside your home, but the customer service absolutely sucks! I was eye to eye with at least 6 employees and NONE of them spoke, offered assistance, or seemed to care about me being an actual paying customer. I guess discussing their happy hour plans was more important than assisting the customers. After I grabbed the items I wanted, I got in line. I saw that register one was open and didn't have any customers, so I proceeded to it. Instead of letting me know she wasn't open, I had to ask and the cashier said, "we are open, not ready for you yet." Rude and should've been handled much better, but whatever. I then head back to the line but another line opened up. As soon as I approach, the cashier said, "no, she's next!" Talking about the woman behind me. I said, "No! I'm next. I just went to register one and they're not open!" She apologized and said she thought I came the wrong way into the line. Now, why would I do that? I can clearly see where the line starts and ends and I clearly understand the concept of a line! That interaction was the icing on the cake. I won't be returning to this location. This HomeGoods location is fantastic! The store is overall clean and well organized. Everything is easy to locate and always has great finds and eclectic selections. And of course, HomeGoods always has excellent prices. Customer service was helpful, and mostly personable. But parking is a bit busy, even on a mid week, mid day visit. Four and one half years ago my wife bought a patio furniture set for $1300 at Home Goods in Rockville. It consisted of two chairs, a table, and a couch. We covered the furniture in the winter but within less than two years, the wood legs started to crack. I took pictures and the manager on two occasions refunded about $250 of our money. However, I just threw out one chair and the table is starting to go. Bottom line: Do not buy patio furniture from Panama Jack and don't but anything wooden for outside. read more

If you are looking for holiday decorations, then stop by Home Goods. They have a vast amount of Santa's, nutcrackers, candy cane houses, and other holiday decor. Maybe, I am early, but the Chanukah collection was small and sparse. I was disappointed. There was plenty of help circulating in the store, but they needed more people at the cash registers. It took a while to get checked out. The prices are great, but if you look closely, a lot of the items have small damages. I bought a dog food container, a Halloween costume for my dog, a Chanukah book, some Chanukah candy dishes. I still love the selections and the price. Just look closely before you buy. read more

Out of the Home Goods in our area, this has to be one of the most significantly sized ones. It's almost the size of a Tj Maxx, where the size of the one on Quince Orchard is more the size I'm familar with. That said, the selection is large. They have everything you need and SO much stuff you don't. Like a 1500 dollar metal flimy sculpture of a dinosaur and hundreds of reasonably priced candles. Lots of bakeware, cooking gear, cheese boards and the like. And a giant avocado side table. Home goods is a weird place. read more

The store is organized well. But since they put in the chucky cheese (in that same plaza) the parking lot is now littered with shopping carts, and trash. Also the store itself is now louder and smells bad. I was there a few days ago and the inside of the store smelled like human sick and human feces. IN TWO DIFFERENT AISLES?? So hopefully that was a one off (like a kid got ill) but I was so disgusted by the smell I stopped shopping and immediately left the store. read more

I just came from the Home Goods store In Rockville. I had to pick up a Huge Painting for my son who had ordered it. I am bringing it to him after I finish this Review. When I entered the store, I noticed this huge painting which did not fit in my son's car. So he asked me with my Toyota Highlander to please pick it up. When I entered that store, I noticed at the Cashier area this H UG E painting with many designs of different color paints. To me it looked like an artist who used the canvas to clean up the paint from many, many brushes. Naaaah I said, my son would never put this in his home.....because he has so many beautiful original paintings. But I was wrong. I called my son and asked him where he was going to put his up ion his home. I was relieved when he told me this was a gift for someone else. I had to ask for assistance to help me put it into my Highlander. They were so nice that two of the staff was wonderfully willing to take the painting to my car. They were extremely careful doing this "enormous" task. This shows me that the staff are trained for "customer satisfaction." read more

I purchased sheets here today only to come home, unpack them, and find out they were used. There are multiple stains on them. Now I get to drive back to return something that should not have been on the shelf in the first place. The White Flint Plaza may look a bit outdated, but this particular HomeGoods offers a great variety in terms of furniture, office supplies, dishware/bakeware, rugs, lighting fixtures, mirrors, bedding, bath products, dining options, kitchen essentials, home decor, and pet accessories/snacks! I was surprised that this place had such a great selection, and I was able to find a few things to add to my hoarding needs! There are plenty of SAs that circulate the floor, so if you're looking for something in particular or have any questions, they are readily available. All the cashiers are super nice, and it's a great place to kill some time and/or to peruse at your own leisure. Prior to entering this store, I felt good that a store associate was making sure to not let too many people enter inside. Well, that was the extent of how good of COVID-19 safety precautions this store offered. Upon entering, I noticed that there were dizzying amounts of one-way direction arrows on the ground to help maintain adequate social distancing. But the problem was that nobody was following it. There was also no store associate inside who was enforcing it either. Once I had more than 5 instances of other customers getting WAY TOO CLOSE to me and one person coughing while at it, I've really had enough. It didn't help that the aisles inside are really narrow, and I perhaps went on the wrong day--a Sunday afternoon. Still. I'd avoid going if possible. read more

So I came here after seeing that their hours say they're open until 9:30pm. It's 7:01pm and their doors are open. My fiancé and I walk in, as I came to find some new coffee mugs, and I get rudely hollered down "Hello! Hello! We're closed!" by some associate. I said to my fiancé "oh, I thought they closed at 9:30pm" and started to turn around to leave. The same rude associate says "new hours. 7pm. We're closed" and then hollers again at the next person walking in behind me. I'm giving this place one star strictly because of the rude attitude from the associate. There's always something called delivery, and her delivery of telling people the store is closed was beyond rude. If I didn't even start shopping yet, and I'm rudely told that the store is closed and to leave, how awful would the service be if I was actually shopping? Every time I shop here, it always makes me want to get a bigger house so I can have more space to put all of the fabulous stuff that they sell here. The shelves are stocked with absolutely gorgeous decor, catering to tastes ranging from simplistic to eccentric. They also have a small but impressive variety of furniture (including pieces for the furry members of the family). My favorites are the small cabinets, and other pieces designed for storage. If you got something to store, there's a very good chance Home Goods has the right piece of furniture help you do just that. There's also shelves packed with delicious imported foods, beautifully scented candles, plush linens and fabrics, and all the tools and gadgets a kitchenista like myself could ever ask for. I am enamored with this place. It's full of stuff for the home and belly. It's almost as if the merchandise screams, "Over here! Look at me!" I want. The heart wants what the heart desires. Unfortunately, I've no place for all these pretty things. If I were to start with a empty home, this place would be my starting zone. They have everything you could possibly need to make a home your home. I did buy a new, colorful silicone whisk for $2.99. Bye bye rusty metal one! Their gourmet food section is the biggest and best I've seen from all these discount shopping places. I had to be strong and walk on. (I fibbed a tiny bit-I bought some shortbread cookies.) I've been to various HomeGoods stores and this is one of my favorites. They always seem to be stocked with new stuff, and seem to have new items every week but that's probably the norm for most HomeGoods stores. The store is clean and organized and there usually is a cashier available at each register so even when there's long lines, the lines tend to move fairly fast. Staff is always helpful and polite. This store is also not nearly as crowded as other HomeGoods stores which can be a good thing! Love it. read more

I'm a Homeoods fan. I like being able to grab things that I need without a hefty price tag. This location resides in a plaza with a Petsmart, Shoppers, and Subway just to name a few. There is plenty of parking. In the store, it can get hectic. The staff does a good job of cleaning. Mostly all products are in the section they need to be. Things they don't have that I'm used to at Homegoods are beauty products which they don't have much of. Just bath-related items. I'm used to additional beauty items such as hair products or hair gadgets. I've been here during the week and on the weekend and I prefer the week. It's less busy and I can usually make it through the checkout quickly. On the weekend, bring a book. I've waited in line 25 min just due to the slow moving line. You almost have to ask if you really want the items. Otherwise, decent location read more

This is my least favorite HG store to come to. I find that the selection is not as great as the other locations in the area and items are picked over. The clearance area is not even worth rummaging through since most of the items have been open or damaged in some sort of way. It just looks like a mounting pile of trash to be honest. I noticed on this particular visit that a table was placed in the middle of the walkway with clearance items that sparked my interest. I am guessing they created this table to add more sale items since they could not possibly fit any more into the existing clearance areas. However, half of the table was not even on clearance! It was ver misleading since there was a "clearance" sign on the table. Pieces of furniture were cramped into one space. You could barely walk in between chairs and tables to find their prices. In the front of the store there was also furniture, and they decided to place a bench there which people used as a sitting area. I mean, who would want to buy that now? The checkout process was longer than I had anticipated. Usually an open register is indicated by an intercom that calls out the register number. However, a store associate who was open gestures with his hand for us to come over instead. I found that to be a bit unprofessional since he did not seem as though he wanted to be there. This store has some nice things if you're into decorating or re-decorating according to themes( blah, blah, blah). I've spent ruffly $1500.00 on dishes, sheets, comforters, vases, and bathrooms items. I will reiterate the store is a little busy (Definition: Shit all over the place that your cart keeps bumping into things and you're constantly saying excuse me as if you've run over someone else's foot by mistake, but to only find it was a piece of furniture in the middle of the aisle) ...you really have to take your time and look, because this store has so many items you will miss out on their discount or discontinued merchandise. The location is convenient for me, so I've been spending approx 2 Saturdays in a row browsing for hidden treasures. I felt like a kid in a candy store. read more

Great place for unique and inexpensive home items. The shopping center itself is pretty bland - some car places, a pet store, shipping store and a Shoppers Food Warehouse. It also sits in the shadow of the Rockville Pike now long gone shopping mall, White Flint. But this store is a real gem - dishes, linens, bathroom and kitchen trinkets, art and furniture. The prices are great and the items rotate in and out pretty quickly, so if you see something you like, grab it - because it probably won't be there next time you come back. Staff is easy to find and generally pretty helpful. Store is laid out well, clean and organized. I find this store more pleasant than going to Bed Bath and Beyond, which can be extremely overwhelming and difficult to navigate. HomeGoods is more of an experience. Oh, and the sale/clearance aisles are FILLED with stuff marked down even more than the regularly low prices. I have gotten nice towels for just a few dollars and glassware sets for $5.00. The staff is always friendly and willing to help with customer needs. On the other hand, I've bought *nice* sheets for $60 a set because they were a discontinued color (that I liked!), periodically they've had EXACTLY the mirror/trunk/console table I was looking for, for about 40% of normal retail, and they can ALWAYS be counted on to have a random variety of fish plates. I have been to other Home Goods stores and this one does not compare to them. It was an atrocious visit. The outside of the building wasn't even welcoming. There is plenty to look at in the store, but the organization is lacking. There were items everywhere. I felt like I was at a garage sale looking at old hand me downs that people didn't want. There were several broken mugs and vases. I even saw a box of opened chocolates with all the chocolates eaten. I would definitely double check your purchases here before buying anything. There were a few unique items here that I was interested in, but I felt they were overpriced for how light and cheap they felt. From afar, they seemed nice looking. The furniture pieces were also wobbly and didn't even balance on the floor. I also found some black chairs which seemed appealing to me, but as soon as I sat on it, I thought it was going to break... YIKES! I wasn't about to buy a chair for decor purposes. I would like to use it too... I think overall though, the store has potential, but it needs to be more organized and caring about the products they hold... I can't even emphasize how many broken items I saw today. This is my weekly shopping oasis. You can always count on finding fresh new decor items and home essentials as well as some AWESOME pet essentials and pet toys at this location. Always clean, always dog friendly, the staff is very helpful, and the selection is very organized. I am an avid Home Goods shopper and I prefer this location to the Olney and Gaithersburg locations any day. I also love how friendly the cashiers are at this location. The customer service at other MoCo Home Goods locations in the area isn't as great and could learn a thing or two from the Rockville location staff!!!! I love how the location of this Home Goods also has such a large parking lot and is surrounded by other stores and restaurants (Rodman's, Shopper's, Big Greek Cafe, PetSmart) so it's easy to get more than one errand done and justify a trip to Home Goods :) read more

Home goods was a nice place to go to find hidden gems. It was a little busy. So didn't get ALL the help we wanted. Overall it was fine though. Every isle was pretty organized but one. What can you expect though. They even offer delivery but its through a third party vendor so be careful of that. If you're going to get furniture, ask them to call the vendor to see how much shipping is going to cost. We purchases a little love seat for 300. It is going to end up costing around $109 bucks. Soooooooo..... were just going to borrow a friends trunk lol. Good place to go! Check it out! read more
