Lots of snack food, breakfast foods and drinks at discount prices. If you go in hoping to get something in particular, I'm afraid you will likely be disappointed. If on the other hand you're just looking for bargains, this place is hard to beat. The stop had what she was seeking, and at the same time, provided a nice surprise find as well -- a great deal on some 'just past' the best-before-date of 'Ocean Spray, tinned cranberry sauce'. Originally sticker priced at $1.49 Cdn per tin, it was now priced at $0.25 per tin -- a bargain not to be missed. Thanks to her catch, it included four tins for us (and yea, it was all the 'whole cranberry' variety, which we favour over the 'jellied' stuff). With Easter coming, I am sure there will be a use for some (with some poultry), but regardless, we always enjoy it with any poultry and several meats at any time, and find it's great in pancakes, on french toast, baking powder biscuits, and such.

Their milk is more expensive than Walmart or no frills and usually expires the next day. The staff are mean and won't give anyone a discount who clearly needs it. This non profit should be audited by the CRA because their prices are way too high and the people who it is supposed to be helping (the poor) are getting gouged for stale, overpriced, expired food. What a disappointment this place is! They wanted $5 for a 4 L milk that expires in 2 days and it is $4.27 at Walmart with a 15 day expiry date! Just SAD! You have to be referred to shop here so the prices should be low they are NOT! Go to the food bank instead.

I knew I did not have enough time for a serious look, but did have time to quickly scan a few aisles. I was really quite impressed with the size of this store, and large selection of offerings. It's a rather large store, with aisle after aisle of shelves, bins, and all, crammed full of various household and other assorted stuff & such, typical and not so typical of such stores. I did not see any fresh items - like bakery goods or the like - had hoped they might carry fresh bread, buns, and such, but no such luck. I am quite sure my lady would have a great time browsing inside this store. She enjoys the dollar-type stores, and from my brief sightings, this is definitely one for her to check out. But got a bit disappointed earlier today, I went in such a rush driving as I came all the way from Surrey trying to catch the store open before they close. Since there is no store like this in there. So I got there around 8:36, and asked the lady if I could have the birthday balloons decorations I needed to surprise my friend. This is around 8:40. Got told that she can't because apparently they close the helium tank by 8:30 or 8:40, and there's no chance she can do it she said. This is disappointing for not being so reliable coming to this kind of situation. I know I came and ask at 8:40. But still there is so much time to get it done. It's not like I wanted 100 balloons blown up. Some people have work and just got off but still try to make time and rush to be able to get what they need for the occasion. I have been to the other locations in the past getting the same things every time there is an event and I need something. This location is the only one who refused to put helium on the balloons, because it's already off by 8:30/40. Says that store closes at 9pm. But some of the resources inside are not even available by 8:30pm, is what's crazy. They have cleaning supplies, office supplies, food, etc for a really cheap and affordable price. I saw many items that you can purchase at the grocery store for cheap. They even had holiday items for Christmas. Even though it was after Christmas it still wasn't discounted yet. The staff were nice and friendly when we checked out. However there were no staff working on the floor to help people. Overall good dollar store, but I couldn't see myself wanting to come back here again.

I priced a hardwood dog kennel there last week at $160 and on line it was $299 US. They have fabulous one off furniture deals, clothing for the family, food and other "seconds". I like to go and quickly check their linens section. It is a great spot to pick up duvet covers for under $40. At christmas they have vast amounts of those decor items your Aunt Eunice loves, at great prices.
