We picked up a couple fleece and shirts here and they survived the wash and are still comfortable weeks later, and they were such a good price, nearly half of what you'd expect. The deals on standard keychains and magnets were also very good so we bought dozens.

I also don't appreciate attitude, from the store manager when I want to exchange the item that fell apart before I, actually, got to use it. I bought three kitchen hand towels at the Dollar Tree on the corner of Knight St and Kingsway in Vancouver on March 3, 2026. I read the instructions on each towel which said 'wash before first use', which I did. When I laundered the towels, two of them were fine but the third one was fraying badly. I took that kitchen hand towel back to the Dollar Tree location mentioned above a few days later so within the same week. I expected the cashier to have the manager, a young woman that day, come to the counter to deal with me which she did. I showed the manager the towel. Then I heard the young female manager say, under her breath to the cashier, "What do you expect." As I said at the beginning of this piece, I expect better than that towel and better than attitude, from the store manager. In the end the young store manager did allow me to exchange the towel which is all I wanted but she could use a serious attitude adjustment. I don't usually shop at that location, and chances are highly unlikely that I'll ever shop there again.

Silver Hills breads can cost anywhere between 4-6$ at regular price in regular stores. They receive the breads every week and usually the Best before/expiry date is at most 3 days later, but it doesn't matter because I just freeze it. They also have a few staples like pasta sauce at a discount price, but their grocery section isn't that big and mostly contains unhealthy foods. The best deals are probably on household items such as kitchen tools, cleaning supply, etc.

For example I will have them go to the end of the checkout and bag our items in a bag with another stores logo, and she will say we took that bag from there. Last I checked dollar tree doesn't sell Lululemon or Purdy's chocolate. She also has NEVER said thank you. Just tosses our receipt down and looks away. Now there is a newer cashier there that does not know how to count Canadian coins and embarrassed me in line. I had to count my change for her twice, both times she then recounted it and said I was short. I was not, and if she knew the value of each coin it could have saved me the frustration and embarrassment. When I tried to explain the value of the coins to her she tossed the in the till before I could prove it. It's not like it was a handful, it was three quarters and four nickels. The area is very dirty and not well maintained. Once in the store the shelves are very high and narrow. It is a very overwhelming feeling if you are sensitive to small spaces/claustrophobic. The amount of items in there is very overwhelming as well. I didn't stay long and mostly stuck to the snacks and candy. They have a large area near the check out that has candy, gum etc. Purchased an aero bar, coffee crisp, kit kit and toffee candy bar. For 4 candy bars (I either didn't get a receipt, didn't take it or lost it but it was $4.07 USD. There were 3 self check outs and one staff there to check out as well. Saw employees in aisles but only one at registers. Overall it was an underwhelming and overwhelming experience and I would not go out of my way to go back if in the area.
