This place is getting the 1 star just cause it is recommended to make the review. We came in for LSR just wanting to grab a burger and fries. It started off nice and professional, but quickly turned into one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had. The "cook" in the back took our order. My boyfriend was eating something else, so we sat down so he could finish his food before I went to pay. The cook then came up to our table and rudely asked why we hadn't taken the ticket to the front. I explained that my boyfriend was still eating, then went up and paid. The lady at the front was kind and told me to have a great night, so we went back to sit and wait. After waiting 20-30 minutes, my boyfriend went to check on our order. The cook became aggressive and rude, so I asked for a refund. He then followed us to the front of the store, yelling at us in front of everyone and even calling us "a waste." The lady at the front was apologetic and seemed genuinely scared of him. The whole situation was embarrassing, unprofessional, and completely uncalled for. The lack of respect and basic courtesy was shocking. This is not the kind of experience anyone should have when trying to enjoy a simple meal. For being right on the coast the store seemed kind of out of place, the inside looks very unorganized and last minute. Your tripping on displays it's narrow passage ways to see what they have. Found a snow globe I liked had a price higher than the one next to it exactly the same. The selection was big but very generic, basically looks like things you'd by wholesale and then just print "Galveston" on it. Overall underwhelming, we ended up going a little further down the beach and found another souvenir shop that is night and day different from here. Would not recommend. read more

My favorite place to go when I'm in Galveston for swimwear, great tops, and cool hats!!! I live in Houston but go there when I need a new swimsuit because they have good quality and are very reasonable priced. I love the variety of tops they sell. I get some really nice ones there that I dress up with jewelry and look great for evening wear. I find that all of their prices are relatively low with quality products. They've got a nice snack bar, too, and sell Bluebell Ice Cream. read more

Be sure to check all receipts. Had them try to over charge me over $90. After contacting my bank, I also contacted this store. They did refund my money. Still, it's a good idea to check your receipts. The cashier was on the phone (communicating in another language so that customers might not understand) the entire time of the original transaction. What bothered me the most was the negligence due to being on the phone. So sad that customer service seems to be dying art everywhere! Gave 2 stars because they did refund me. DO NOT COME HERE. If I could give 0 Stars I Would. The workers were COMPLETELY unprofessional and out right rude as hell. As soon as we walk in the lady at the register shouts at us " I have 15 minutes". The fixtures in the store are placed to where there is like 1 feet between each one in every direction. I bumped into one and some tumblers fell and I picked all of them up. As soon as this happened another worker came over like a hawk. Not asking if I was ok or anything. All she says very rudely "did something break" Nothing to my knowledge did so I said "no ma'am" she inspects every single cup make sure there WAS something broken. I was looking at some other merchandise and she starts shouting at me "excuse me, excuse me, excuse me." I turn around and she has a plastic piece in her hand that clearly could have been snapped on and said you broke it. I am a manager for JCPenney and so I am usually really nice to other retail workers as I know the struggle they go through. The level of rudeness that came from the employees was astronomical. As she was becoming very confrontational I was just going to leave. She then BLOCKS THE DOOR and starts talking to the other worker in a different language. The other worker said if you break something you have to pay half price. If this was posted throughout the store then I would've been completely OK with it. Also if their fixtures were placed one feet between each other in every single direction I would've been OK with this. So I stated I was not gonna pay for the item and explain to them due to their fixtures. She stated why would you go down an aisle if you can't get out. I said every single isle in your location is this way. She said GET OUT. I left. As I was leaving the other worker who was blocking the door FLIPPED US OFF!!! Went to fill up my golf cart. Stood in like for 20 minutes with only one person in front of me because the cashier grossly over charged them. Then under charged then finally fixed it. Paid for my gas, walked out to my golf cart and tried to pump and nothing happened. While enjoying the seawall, my 39 week pregnant wife needed to use the restroom. After trying the already closed public restrooms, we walked across the street to Dolphin World to beg the owners to let her use their toilet. After waiting at the unattended register, a lady who had been sitting in the corner of the store watching us wait for help finally walked towards us to ask what we needed. I politely asked her if my obviously very pregnant wife could use their restroom, and she said the restroom was out of order and told to use the already closed public toilet across the street. We asked her where she would go to the restroom and she then asked us to leave. read more

All I did was ask why my items rang up to $25.00 when I was expecting less and he stated to me, "You want me to ring it up again? Why don't you watch this time?". I was blown away. As for goods, Dolphin World is the typical beachwear/accessory/souvenir shop on the Seawall. It's a wonderful place to visit if you want the cops called on you for allegedly breaking a door. I opened the cooler door, grabbed a bottle of water and closed the door, the door came off of its hinge. The clerk claimed I broke it and called the police. If zero stars was an option I'd rate it that instead. Me and my family were getting a bunch of stuff while waiting to check out a man came in saying that the gas wouldn't let him pump and they kept insisting it said he pumped 3$ worth of gas. The man kept trying to explain that he wouldn't cheat them for 3$. The girl working the counter got really rude with the guy and eventually gave him his 3$. When we got to the counter we bought 116$ worth of stuff and we used a PayPal card. While the lady was busy with some other people we got a notification saying the payment went through and showed that it was taken from our account. If you know anything about PayPal you know it sends you notifications and emails when the payment goes through, and if you have the app you can clearly see when money goes in and out. Ours showed the 116$ was taken. When we tried to show the lady she kept making up different reasons why it did that. When we tried to explain the way it worked the lady was very rude and took our bags off of the counter and hid them under it, and said she's not gonna give us the stuff we paid for. We eventually left and we are now trying to get our money back. read more

She showed me the right price then changed it and put my card in. Because the total she showed me vs what hit my account were at least $20 apart from each other. The guy doing the shirts and hoodies was very creepy. The lady seemed like she was being disturbed by people trying to check out. It also took 40 minutes to check out. They don't wear masks at all and I wasn't even mad about that but don't have signs up saying your employees wear masks and all this other stuff if they don't. The number doesn't even work. I've called twice trying to get a hold of someone about being over charged and have gotten nothing back. I'm going in tomorrow to return everything. These people are rude and argumentative. The prices are misrepresented. When you get to the register to pay the prices don't match the sales displays. When you tell them that they want to argue about it. If you order food you give your order to the cook. He gives you the ticket to get rung up at the front of the store. He then cooks the food when you come back with the receipt. You are better off going to Walmart to buy your tourism items and swimsuits. You at least can return them if there's a problem.
