We came in and sat outside. it was such a gorgeous view overlooking the church next to the building. There was live music and seemed like lots of locals and people visiting all around the restaurant, but we never felt disturbed. We got a side of fries and a chocolate and banana crepe. This restaurant was fine.... We walked over from our hotel... The town is absolutely charming!!!! Upon sitting at a table outside, the restaurant was full. The service was incredibly slow..... We waited for a long time for water and a menu... We got wine and waited and waited..... The food was nice.... There is an amazing Cathedral right next door so there is so much to look out while dining. read more

Le Domesday has a very wide menu. I ended up trying a galette with curry chicken, banana, and pineapple. It wasn't as weird as it sounds but I wouldn't get it again. My husband ordered a cheeseburger. The service was extremely slow and not just in an American vs French style of eating type of way. It took FOREVER for our food to arrive. We were planning to get dessert but were too tired and didn't know how long that would take so we ended up skipping it. With the large amount of options on the menu, this would be good for groups that can't agree on something to eat. If the weather is nice, the outdoor seating has a nice view of the Bayeux Cathedral. 2.5 stars. read more

After over an hour spent walking around Bayeux trying to find a crêperie, initially turning down the chance to eat at a small café because it had no crêpes and finding the crêperies on nearby blocks empty or closed, then returning to the café to find it closed by then, we eventually had to settle for this place because we were both incredibly tired and hungry and just needed to pick something. We are glad to say that Le Domesday was one of the best meals we had in France. We ordered almost an entire bottle of Normandy cider as well as a Calvados and apple crêpe for dessert, and omelettes for our main dishes, to represent all of the local specialties that we aimed to try while in Normandy. We were not disappointed with anything on the menu and found the omelettes very fluffy and quite filling in size, and yet not overfilled with fillings. The crêpe was luxuriously smooth and light compared to others we've had or that I've made at home, and despite being 8 euros was an absolute marvel and, to compensate, quite huge. We found the service very good as well and thus Domesday has all the ingredients needed to succeed big-time, especially a killer location occupying an entire corner of the road and being clearly visible from all angles. It certainly merits a full 5-star rating and we would return any time we are in Bayeux. read more

I came here after touring Omaha Beach, Pointe du Hoc, and the American Cemetery, and it rained the entire day I was out. When we got back to Bayeux, my friend and I wanted good food that would warm us up, and Le Domesday was close to our hotel so we went! We both ordered Leffe beer (wonderful!) and a huge bowl of pasta, which was hot and delicious and warmed us up after a long day. The service was only ok, and they seated us in an empty room which felt a little odd, but overall this place was very good! read more

Best food I've had in France so far after 5 days. The restaurant was very clean. Wait staff were very nice. We both had the pizza which was amazing. The thin crust was perfectly crisp. The Crepes for Deseret were out of this world good. I had the mint chip with cream. The restrooms while small very very nice (for France) and very clean. I could also see the kitchen which was very nice. I would recommend sitting on the patio if the weather is nice. The patio looks newly done with glass walls, awnings and umbrellas. Very well done and far exceeded my expectations for this small town. read more

We arrived at 630p with 12 and they were able to sit us right away. The menu had English translation and our waitress spoke some English as well. I had the potato burger and it was out of this world! A crepe for dessert is a must as well. By the time we left at 815p, it was packed so arrive early! read more

We had few choices in this small town and were surprised by the variety. So many places only had sandwiches or crepes on the menu. This was in a beautiful setting by Bayeaux Cathedral and our meal was very tasty, albeit slower service on this busy summer night. I would recommend! Dessert was amazing! read more

Was a little scared by the yelp rating but decided to give it a try and had no regrets. It's clearly a tourist-oriented place but the food was good, service was fast and friendly. It was the perfect place for a quick dinner when we arrived late to Bayeux. read more
