THE WORST RUDE WORKER + terrible blow out The stylist let me curl the hair myself she gave up and still charged me for the curls while she did another client I should have listened to the terrible reviews I was traveling and I walked in with my suitcases and the owner watched me struggle to bring them in and just looked me up and down didn't offer to hold the door I asked for volume bouncy curls and she began to run a straighter through my hair making frizzy loose curls while pulling very hard I told her I wanted a actual curler and she pulled out a tiny wand - I wanted bomb shell curls not tiny curly fries I pointed to a actual curler she had on the counter and I showed her how I like it curled and she walked away and let me do my own curls then charged me for the curls anyways while she took other clients So basically I paid 105$ for her to wash and rough dry my hair :) I should have gone to a actual blow out bar if I pay 100$ for a style I should not do all the work On top of that instead of helping me she kept leaning in making rude comments telling me that the type of curls I'm doing is too much work for a salon , duh ! Horrible experience. The stylist insisted my hair looked good when it clearly didn't, refused a discount unless I let her rewash and style it, and argued when I said I didn't have time. She even wanted to call the police over my complaint. The staff eventually convinced her to refund me because they knew it wasn't done well. If you have short hair, avoid this place! read more

I had a pretty good experience at this salon! I have 4c hair and came for a blow out/straight look. I arrived when they first opened and was surprised to see there were already customers there and were already being attended to. Thankfully I only had to wait a few minutes before someone took me to wash my hair. I will say that the products they used were not anything I would use on my 4c hair reguarly as the shampoo stripped my hair of all moisture and conditioner did not replenish it. Be of this, the detangling process was unpleasant! again, I believe it's because the products that were used. In the future I would come with my hair already washed, conditioned and detangled. Despite this, I will say that my stylist is a magician when it came to the blow out! I was surprised at how quickly she got my hair straight. She stated she was going to also use the flat iron which I was ok with and again, her work was magical! My hair looked unbelievably straight, shiny and healthy! It's been a week and my hair is still very straight despite working out 3 times this week. In terms of customer service, my stylist and all the staff seemed pleasant and attentive. Let me start this way..I'm Dominican the owner Rosa gives us a bad name... To start her lack of professionalism and gratitude for business.. I spoke with the daughter Zuli a day before to add extensions I was flying in for a wedding and requested to have this hair added in with clips.. She explained it (the hair) can be added as long as I brought it in a day before...Ok straight from the airport I drove with the hair without clips...Next day in the morning I get there no work is done on the hair and I had to reiterate everything I said about this hair.. To Rosa I've been a customer for years with Margarita at this salon she is great, lacks loyalty to customers though.. If I wanted to see her specifically at a certain time she would not make herself available. After a an uncomfortable and almost heated confrontation, she resorted to gluing this hair to my head as a solution because there wasn't enough time to add clips to this hair .. She stated "Zuli is not a hair dresser and cannot decide what goes on with hair".. Yet let add she works there... It's unfortunate that it only takes one huge major messed for lack of a better word to make a customer forget a place... DON'T GET EXTENSIONS HERE..!!! Quick fix fast money... Do not buy the Groupon. I got the Groupon for the Spa mani-pedi because I assumed the $60 value included the Shellac (versus the cheaper classic mani-pedi) because a normal mani-pedi on their website is $45 and the shellac manicure and normal pedicure is $58. When I got there I found out that the $15 added value was just for hot towels although no hot towels were even used during the session. I don't understand why they need to trick you with the fake total value on the Groupon so that you go in getting less than you expected. I would not have purchased the Groupon if I thought I wasn't getting the Shellac. Parking was limited. I would suggest getting there a few minutes early just in case you have to do a few laps around the place like I did. The place was not very clean and the manicurist working with me did not speak English so I had a difficult time communicating with her. She did a good job other a little bit of bleeding around the nail and my nails messed up right after she finished since the (dirty) fan I was had to hold my hand up too was not very powerful. Everyone there seemed very nice and it seems as if they have a bit of following but I personally will not be back because I don't understand the point of getting your nails done and then having to redo them on your own. read more

Only Salon open on a Sunday close to my house that's the reason I come here . They are slow are very partial to their regulars even if you arrived before they did. They aren't too keen on " new clients" or customer preferences when it comes to what you want done to your hair . I called to see if they cut kids hair which I was told yes. I got there with my daughter and some nasty rude lady turn my daughter for being too small. She said I don't cut kids like that. My daughter was calm I don't know why she would be so rude. I don't recommend anyone going there. The attitude was very unapproachable. First time poster here: Just because you have "Dominican" in the name of the place does not mean it's good to go. It deserves 0 stars for poorly educated, disorganized employees and very bad service. Unfortunately, it is not a place that you can come to leave as soon as you think, they put you to wait for more than 1 hour as they are very disorganized, they walk around, sit and talk TOO MUCH! While attending you , they wash and do not ask you what you want to do to your hair, and you have to wash and dry it their way, like who's better than them to know about YOUR hair. The client has no voice here. What a sad mess, feel very bad for the owner. I'll start with the good, and the only reason I gave this salon two stars: they know how to blow dry. And they took me as a walk in. I have nothing else positive to say about this place. I came in for a full head of color. I selected a dark chestnut and left with jet black hair. On top of not giving me what I asked for, after the heavy ammonia product was applied, I was asked to sit in the back area. This part of the salon has no ventilation and I left the salon with watery eyes, a scratchy throat and a horrible headache. Not only was I thrown to the back and forgotten, but the color was left in my hair long after the timer went off. After asking for the product to be removed, I was left waiting for another 15 minutes before someone would wash it out. Not professional! On top of all that, it is a bare bones salon that charges the same as way nicer places in the gables. Suffice it to say, I will not be returning. I have been going to this salon multiple times and each time I try to give them the benefit of the doubt but I have had enough of their theft and ignorance. Me and my sister went there for only blow dry, my sister actually washed her hair at home so the only thing they had to do was blow dry they charged her $55 claiming they used flat iron, when we specifically told them she only wanted blow dry and not flat iron cause of too much heat. Then they tried to charged me $45 for blow dry only and I had told them I come here all the time and I pay $35 for blow dry and $40 for flat iron then she said ok, pay $40. I was so disappointed how they change their price depending on NOTHING. I respectfully asked them I'm a loyal coustomer who comes here regularly and I don't like they charge me different price for the same do every time I come. I'm married to a Dominican and I understand some words, don't fluently speak Spanish but I understand some words and they talk shit behind your back. Even their friends who are not employees btw got involve to tell me why I ask to many question for 5 or 10 dollar difference,? Ok, so I was looking for a salon that would be open on a Sunday, knowing not that many are. I saw this salon and also noticed that the rating was poor, but having the kind of hope and faith I tend to have, I decided to give the benefit of doubt. As soon as I walked in I saw that it was a simple salon, nice, not too extravagant, and only saw one person, so I thought to myself great, yay I can be in and out fast, by the way I forgot to mention I had a wedding to go to by 2:00pm. Well I was wrong didn't realize that there was only two hair stylist and 5 clients in the back being juggled by just two hairstylists, talk about: "the hustle is real... " anywho, she tells me what are u looking to do? I say, an up do for a wedding. So I go into the chair to wash my hair. Well let's just say I think she thought i had nappy hair cause she was scrubbing the ish out of my scalp, she had no remorse nor was she considerate to my dog on scalp. When she finished I had to touch my head to see if I still had scalp left. Next i was brought to another chair to start my hair process. She starts to blow dry my hair, this woman friken burned my ear, burned my scalp and was so rough with my hair.. And I'm like wtf I am seriously about to snap.. But I can't cause I have no where else to go and I have this dam wedding to attend. Then she stops and start to attend another woman and I'm sitting there like wtf??? So I politely asked her how long will u take, I really have to be done before 1:00, and she just turns to me with an attitude telling me I'll be done before. Woosssaa, Wooossssaaa... Next she starts teasing my hair to start my up do, and she is just so rough man, and handling my hair as if my hair is nappy Dominican hair, I have thin straight hair, is she blind???
