They do not offer a preliminary closing document (ALTA) as it is not mandatory, for review to catch mistakes. Many title companies have made mistakes, but in my 15 years as an agent, every mistake has been caught during the review period. They offered no solution to fix the problem and basically said it was not their problem. I would not use or recommend using the title services again. I now understand why they offer their closing services to a borrower using their mortgage company at no cost. Too bad. The transaction went fine and we closed on time, but I had to cover the expense of the mistake.

I mean, I'm trying to give you my money. I understand covid, but several bank lobbies are open but they won't open an account without an appointment.
