I'm vegetarian (and food options can sometimes be slightly hit-or-miss), but the food Matt served for each meal was just soooo flavoursome and delicious. On our last night, Matt made such a huge effort and threw us a little party with a fire-pit along with dinner and drinks (with the help of his lovely son George) and it was such a brilliant evening. 10/10 and would highly recommend

The booking process was easy and if we had any questions Matt came back with an answer straight away, the day of the BBQ there was plenty of delicious meats, salads and bread rolls and we could have fed another 20 people. Matt's attitude and customer service was second to none, really attentive and could not do enough for us, and would not accept any help when it came to clearing everything away. Regardless of the typical British BBQ weather (rain, hail, snow and sunshine) everyone really enjoyed their lunch. A massive thank you to Matt and his team @ Shropshire Hills Catering. Would recommend this company to all. Thank you again Matt, will certainly be using your services again in the future.

Today I have attempted to resolve an issue with one of your customer service representatives but…read morehave been very unsatisfied by the outcome I ordered 2 items from John Lewis on 7/12/12. These were dispatched a few days later with your company with consignment numbers CFI125227 and CBG58633 They were attempted delivery on 11/12/12 when I was not in, I received an email and requested for a redelivery on 13/12/12 when I would be in. The item was then attempted for a redelivery on 12/12/12, when I was not in again. No delivery was attempted on the 13/12/12 (when I stayed in all day) I called on the night of the 13th (after waiting on hold for 20 minutes) and was told it would be delivered on 17th At this time I requested that the item be left around the back of the property under a recycling bin I waited in on the 17th and no delivery was made. I called again on the 17th night (waited on hold for 25 minutes) and was told the package wasn't sent out on the van but was being held by the supervisor, i was told that someone from the depot would call me back, however no one did. I attempted to call again on the morning of the 18th but I waiting on hold for 35 minutes and had to go to work. Delivery of CFI125227 was made on the 18th and left propped up against the front door and not around the back of the property like requested. I called back and after another 25 minute hold I was told that CBG58633 had been sent back to John Lewis. I requested to speak to a supervisor regarding the errors that your company had made and I was told the at 14:00 on the 18th the supervisor had gone home and the entire team had been unsupervised since 14:00 until 21:00 1. Why was my item not sent out for delivery on the 13th like I requested? 2. Why was my item not sent out for delivery on the 17th like I requested? 3. Why was my item not left in the safe place agreed by City Link and left in full view of the street? 4. Why was one item delivered and one item sent back to sender even though they were part of the same order? Did your company feel that I only wanted half of the order I made? 5. Why did no one from the depot call me back on the 17th like I was promised? 6. Is it City Link policy to leave teams of customer services representatives unsupervised for 7 hours of a day, in one of the busiest times of the year for a delivery company? If this is not policy why did it happen? 7. I have spent 105 minutes on hold alone, plus approximately another 30 minutes attempting to arrange to have items delivered, from a company which boasts "next day, same day, every way". I have phone records and bills to prove the cost implications of this amount of time on hold. Also I have spent time away from work on the days i was promised that the items would be delivered. Will City Link be providing any sort of compensation? I would like an answer to each of those questions within 72 hours. As far as I can ascertain from your terms and conditions you have breached your contract with John Lewis and me as a customer of John Lewis It is now 31/12/12 and no reply has been given to this complaint submitted on 18/12/12. This is 8 times longer than they promise on their website.

What a story! Parcelforce Worldwide, esp. in Shrewsbury - a catastrophe!…read more Another parcel that is now declared as lost. I was so much worried about a whole photographic exhibition over the Easter break one cannot believe it. It made me sick! This exhibition will open on 4th April 2008 at the State and University Library in Göttingen. The organisers have been waiting for a 14 kilogram parcel which was sent from Machynlleth on 3rd March. Today is the 25th March and there is no sign of a parcel! We have to have the photographs there otherwise that is the end of itPeople will be disappointed, all work for nothing, the photography, all the invites, people turning up for nothing - worst of all for the Library - no exhibition!!! GPL is the German partner of British ParcelForce Worldwide here but they could not help when I rang. We also rang an office in Bebra. People were on vacation because of Easter. Services limited. I rang Deutsche Post / DHL twice again (my eleventh time or so!!). I was put through to an international advisor, maybe people know about this case now or so. He said the usual, that they had a date - 3rd March 2008, 10:16. Then they scanned in our parcel for the first time. The Royal Mail then gave it the status F which means wrong /mistake. It had the scan: do not send!! So, the status in Germany on their PCs is A. Status A simply means a parcel was brought by us to the post office in Machynlleth. I told the man we had the information that it was in Germany. He said then maybe in Britain your parcel got a different label, went over to a different company. This number would then start with 07........ But to be honest, the man said, they made up a big mess in GB (they do not know about Wales!!). His words: chaotisch. A chaos - this is what it sounds like!! In Shrewsbury ( I pressed 5 instantly!!) I was told they had trouble with the address on it in Göttingen! We had labelled everything in the correct way. The man in Shrewsbury was also very wishy-washy about it all. I'd describe him as friendly but incompetent. First he said there was nothing tracking the number. Then it was scanned in Berbra (this place does not exist, he spelled the number several times - I do not know if it means Bebra (...), data changed there - and my latest piece of information is that it will most probably be returned to shipper!! He took our telephone number and said he might give me a ring next week once he knows something. I had big trouble with Parcelforce Worldwide in Shrewsbury before when they were supposed to transport a Christmas present from my flat in Aberystwyth over to Germany. I took the afternoon off work from the National Librayr - but Parcelforce Worldwide never came. So much hassle. You get the feeling that they are not interesting in helping its custumors at all!

Six of us were slightly surprised and disappointed to find that a restaurant that describes itself as real taste of Italy in a friendly and relaxed environment. had no other customers when we arrived. I can't help but feel that, if we'd gone as a couple, we'd have found the atmosphere fairly flat. As it was, the six of us probably helped improve the ambience although you'd have to ask the couple and the single chap who came in later whether they agreed. The service was good and attentive without being in any way intrusive. Peroni and Pinot Grigio got us in the mood to order. Many of us ordered the pigeon breast on bruschetta and pronounced it as being excellent. There was universal acclaim for all the food but the squid on skewers for mains is picked out for special mention; on a bed of vegetables and a large dollop of aioli it was succulent and tasty. Puddings included ice cream, crema brulee and a delicious cheeseboard finished off a very pleasant evening The bill for six for three courses, including five Peronis, two bottles each of Pinot Grigio and Corvo Rosso was £270. Expensive, but we'll be back.

I suggested that we find somewhere off the main road to stop for a meal instead. Shrewsbury lay on route so seemed like a logical place and we jumped off the A5 to look for a restaurant. We parked in the car park and stumbled across La Dolce Vita which lay opposite. It didn't look like much from the outside, and although it was a Wednesday evening, there was one solitary diner inside. Mmmmmm. A quick look on Qype however, suggested it was worth a visit. Considering the quality food they served up, I don't really understand why the place wasn't packed. The owner was delightful and the service was excellent. The food was delicious; modern Italian with a varied menu of starters pastas and meat dishes. Prawn cocktail was remarkably good; packaging together some delightful flavours. The rack of lamb was flavoursome and perfectly cooked, and the pane cotta smoother than a baby's bottom. It was one of the best meals I've had in a long time. And to think we could have wasted a meal on a trip to the services! If you're passing Shrewsbury, or if you're lucky enough to live there and you appreciate quality food, I cannot recommend it enough. De-licious!
