I really feel the need to update my review for Don Weber, even if I won't change its full 5 stars rating. We went there on a Saturday evening 8pm, genuinely hoping to get seats. Of course it didn't work, as they were almost full and there were many reservations pending. Instead, we were invited to sit at the bar and wait for free tables. The service was well intended, but there were only 3 people for the entire place, including the bar, which made the service messy. After waiting for half an hour, we were finally seated. It was a bit frustrating I agree, but the lively atmosphere made us get over it quite quickly. We then ordered the food and drinks. Drinks arrived quickly, but food took veery long. Then, after 45 minutes of waiting, they offered us a shot from the house, to apologize for the long wait. We found this to be a very nice gesture. Food came soon after. I found bit weird that my quesadilla was with chorizo rather than chicken (as I had ordered), but I didn't complain as it was actually very tasty. Then, after we were finished with our meal, they came with a second serving... another quesadilla for me (chicken this time) and burger with fries for my boyfriend. We were really puzzled. They told us that's from the house as well, still apologizing for their delay in bringing us the food. My boyfriend was really full from his burger, so didn't have the second serving. Nevertheless, we got the chicken quesadilla, which we actually found to be not as good as the chorizo one. However, I wouldn't have ordered that by myself, so I am happy that it all happened this way. I was particularly impressed with their way of apologizing. I enjoy the place, the food, the people.. Will for sure go back!

Definitely a solid neighborhood restaurant for Mexican food with great ambiance to match. I've been to this restaurant twice and left happy both times. The servers are very friendly and accommodating. The classic Margarita is strong and tasty. The James Buchanan burger is served with a generous portion of fries and salad, enough to feed a lumberjack. The Burrito de Pollo is larger than life, filled to the brim with chicken, grilled veggies, and cheese, served with black beans, sour cream, salsa, and guacamole. I like to dip each bite in all 4 sauces to get the full effect of all the flavors. The chicken can be a bit dry sometimes, but with the sauces, it's fine. Two people can definitely share one of these jumbo burritos. Couldn't eat desserts after the big meal, only had room for cappuccino, which was very good as well. My only issue with this place is the wait time. After ordering, it takes 30 to 45 mins to get your food. However, in the end it was worth the wait. The interior of the restaurant feels warm and inviting, good for large groups as well as couples. The outdoor seating is a plus for the warm weathered days. So happy to have found this little gem in my neighborhood.

And this is just half the burrito de pollo. Great to share!

Dante bar in Zürich is famous for its Negroni! There's even a separate menu for all their Negroni…read moreconcoctions! Their napkins have pick up forms ready for guys. ;) A small drawback: credit needs a minimum spend of CHF50 and debit card minimum CHF15.

What a bummer. I was severely disappointed on my most recent visit…read more It was fairly busy upstairs, but downstairs was dead. Despite having having 3 bartenders behind the bar, they couldn't handle our drink orders. It was a zoo! It took forever to get a drink because they are sooooo slow. Some might argue that a good drink takes time, but do you really have to stir the damn ice cubes 640 times to properly incorporate two ingredients? By the time, the bartender was finally done with our unprecedented bulk order of 3 drinks, we asked to pay with a credit card. He asked if it was all together. We said it was two cards. He shook his head in disapproval and rudely said he couldn't deal with it now - he has other drinks to make. So we walked away! He's lucky we came back to order more of the world's slowest and rudest drinks, or we may have just forgotten to pay our tab. I mean, businesses do need money to thrive, don't they? His attitude the whole night was: too cool for school. Bottom line is: their specialty is gin (I prefer, whiskey, tequila and rum to gin anyway) and they make a good cocktail, albeit pricey (15-24 CHF), but there are plenty of other magnificent cocktail bars in Zürich that make incredibly delicious drinks and manage to treat their customers like customers! Think Barfly'z, Hotel Rivington & Sons, Kronenhalle Bar, Tina Bar... and the list goes on... I'm striking Dante from my list.
