I would give zero stars if allowed. It took 6 weeks to receive an incorrect uniform order for my child. There was no apology for the incorrect shipment, a tedious refund process, and I had to reorder and have waited another 6 weeks with no update and no order received. During this time my child has been missing an essential uniform component, and I have no other options but to "wait for their manufacturer" to ship the item to them, so they can ship it to me. My daughter's original uniform store went out of business and must've sold their contract with the school to Donnelly's. I placed my order for her new uniforms in July and as of this review, I have yet to receive my order. They do not tell you online that the items you're trying to order are back ordered until they are in your orders placed in your account and the money left your wallet. I called their customer service a few weeks ago to complain and she was unapologetic and offered no redress at all- not a coupon not a solution- not even an apology. I asked for her manager to call and never received a call back. The entire school is having issues receiving their uniforms and it was so bad, the principal sent out an email and also allowed students to wear their summer uniform for an extended period. I had to ask the school for help and relied on gently used uniforms that they thankfully have at the school so that my daughter would be in dress code for the first day of school. I eventually found the exact plaid at a different retailer online and ordered from FLORIDA. It was delivered within ONE WEEK. May I also add, this retailer was cheaper for the same exact product and great quality :)? I understand everywhere is short staffed, and I understand supply issues. However, I do not understand unethical business practices. No business should take on clients they cannot reasonably accommodate. Why is Donnelly's taking orders and taking money from customers for products they don't have for months?? Why are they not attempting to find other suppliers to supplement their inventory as needed? Why did our smaller local uniform store not have these supply issues, prior to going out of business? Where did they receive their products ? I called to cancel my order today and the woman told me the jumpers came into the warehouse and they're trying to figure out how to get them to the store location. None of this was updated on the website. Too little too late. I submitted a complaint on the Attorney General's website and I suggest you do the same if you have similar issues! read more

Visiting this location is a miserable experience. We have been buying uniforms from here since my oldest was in kindergarten and usually shop online to avoid having to come into the physical building but since my child is now starting high school and recently had a growth spurt, we made an appointment to come in and be measured before placing this years order. Sadly, we didn't encounter one friendly or helpful staff member in our time there, which is really a shame. I guess customer service doesn't have to be important since they are the only uniform option available for every private school in a 3 state radius. It's really unfortunate that there are no other options for students and families. I mention this to the school administration every year in hopes that they will provide other options for us .Beyond that, their clothing is made of polyester blends that are scratchy and uncomfortable that no kid would choose to wear. Their shirts and pants are also cut square and boxy, providing an unflattering fit that just makes the kids look sloppy. Other than the school making it mandatory to get uniforms from here, I can think of zero reasons to shop at Donnelly's. Would not recommend. read more

Unfortunately we have a few pieces we have to purchase from here for school. As all the reviews say they choose the most inefficient process possible. Wait to check in, get a piece of paper and wait in another line for them to find your order even though they make you schedule and know what time your coming, then even if you have prepaid in full they want you to go to the 3rd check out line to "clear their system". they only have one person at register. We're waiting on over $600 worth of items that were ordered in July. My children look haggardly and unkempt going to school in old and frayed uniforms and there is nothing I nor the school can do. Positives: quality product and wide selection Negatives: disorganized and highly inefficient process for ordering, receiving and paying for the products I pre-ordered in spring and picked up towards end of summer to insure proper sizing only to have to wait for a hour to receive my daughter's uniforms. There are too many steps in the process- 1) check-in (after waiting in long line), 2) wait for someone to retrieve your order (20 min wait) and 3) pay for items (after waiting again in line). Seems to me they could get this down to a shorter process and have one line for people who pre-ordered with the filled-orders right there where you check-in and then pay there as well. read more

Andrea has no sympathy. She can't accept that the Woburn office did not properly communicate with a customer. She has chosen to make me as a customer feel like crap. My large order was picked up. I left not knowing I had missing items or back ordered. I got a voicemail towards the end of the school year that I needed to pick up. I thought they must have made a mistake and called the wrong person. I finally talked to someone in June saying it was my order from Sept. I told them I was going away this summer and couldn't pick up.They decided to cancel my order and not refund me.Andrea believes this is all my fault. She made it known that I am fully responsible and doesn't think Woburn is at fault so she won't take action. She said no one is higher than her except the owner and she wouldn't even get him on the matter. Instead, she thinks it was proper for me to lose my $95. Thanks Andrea. I ordered and paid for my daughters school uniforms from them but then the school changed their policy and now families have the option to purchase clothing from anywhere of their choosing as long as the clothing abides but the dress code policy. They refuse to process my order so I can pick up the clothes even though they've already been paid for and they won't issue a refund either. They are doing this to every family in this same situation so they can use it as leverage to try and get what they want from the school since they will no longer be the sole retailer for the schools clothing. read more

Extremely poor customer service. I wish there was somewhere else to buy school uniforms. I ordered my daughter's uniform over a month ago and like many, it's on back order with no ETA for delivery to the store. What's worse is one item is ready for pick up but you have to schedule a time to pick it up and there are no available pick up times for the rest of the month. School starts tomorrow Sept 8th and Donnelly's will not make an exception for me to pick up the one available item. It's already paid for and my daughter doesn't need to try it on. I'm supposed to wait until October to pick up the item when it's sitting right there in their store. They are absolutely ridiculous and it should be brought to the media's attention. I walked in and at the check out desk there were two families ahead of me just standing and waiting. We must have stood with these familes and the families that came in after us for 8-10 minutes before an employee approached the line! She apologized to the first family and no other families. You get an order sheet and last years order which i found very helful. I then waited there for 10 minutes but at least my daughter was occupied by the books they offered. Our sales person rolled with my efficiency and got us in and out of the changing area. We then had to wait in line. Waiting to pick up an order that is both paid for and back ordered for weeks take an hour. This business lacks all the qualities of a reputable business and instead takes advantage of the fact that it's monopolized the uniform industry in RI and that the people they do business with are not the parents who purchase the uniforms but the schools. Donnelly's is the uniform supplier for Bishop Feehan High School. I am required to buy uniforms from them by the school for my children. As an apparent monopoly in the area, they simply do not care about their captive customers' wants and needs. At this time of year, you cannot get them on the phone or by email. Can I leave zero stars? I had to get new school uniforms for my three girls, so I made an appointment at the start of the summer (it was June-- I'm not exaggerating). We recognized the staff from the previous year--same as JB Pride who previously operated the Woburn shop. They were more surly than usual because they were learning a new computer system. But that's the time we had designated to order our uniforms, so we persevered, catching their many, many mistakes and moving along at their glacial pace. Fast forward many months, and we are still missing one fleece jacket. We are into fleece season, and my kids needs her jacket, so I follow up via email and phone many times. No response. Donnelly's, just because you sell the Catholic school uniforms doesn't mean your infallible like the Pope. You do actually have to answer customer queries. Donnelly's, in addition to being over priced and unorganized, has the worst customer service around. I'm guessing this is because people are forced to shop there. Believe me, if I could go elsewhere, I would. And after today, I will do everything I can to convince my child's school to drop Donnelly's, because today, after trying to exchange the wrong shirt for the second time in a day, the person "helping" me got aggressive and stormed off the floor. I do not feel comfortable in the store or with the staff. Although we had a perfectly pleasant exchange this morning, when I had to return to this afternoon to exchange the same too small shirt -again- the woman got very defensive. She wouldn't let me finish a sentence and repeatedly asked me "didn't I remember our conversation this morning". She then accused me of yelling at her, which I did not do. A line was forming behind me, so I suggested I step to the side so she could help others. She said "oh no, they can wait" and continued to be very aggressive. I asked to speak to a manager, who came to assist me. While I was speaking to the manager, this woman came over and said no one wanted her to help them so she was going to the back. I tried to apologize for our miscommunication (even though I don't feel at fault), and she would not listen to me or look at me. She just continued to talk over me. I continued working with the manager. The woman came out from the back and asked another customer if they wanted help. That customer said they would prefer to work with someone else. The woman got aggressive again and yelled that she was going home. Again, I do not feel comfortable there. I am also uncomfortably knowing that woman has access to my private information. Arrived 15 minutes before they opened, 10 people ahead of us, and still waited over an hour to PICK UP an order already paid for! The workers at Donnellys told me that if you need to cancel at all because of not going back to school no worries just call us and we will give you a refund of your $80 deposit. Well I called Donnellys today spoke with someone and she flat out told me no we are not giving refunds until we talk with Atlantis!! Funny thing is they NEVER said that when I was ordering them. Just like they were telling other parents keep tags on and u can return them and now they are turning down those parents!! So I asked to speak to a supervisor and this was at 12 pm and they close at 5pm. The rep said Andrea the supervisor will call you back before 5pm today. This place seriously needs to revise their service operation. I had to return two items ordered through my child's school. Knowing the place would be a madhouse in August and September, I waited until today (October) to make the the return. While it was not terribly busy today, I had to take a number and wait as if I was making a purchase. It took over half an hour to simply return two items. There was a little issue with sizing and i can't say enough about the two ladies who assisted us, Ashely and Nadine, i usually deal with Karen, because she is familiar with my plus size daughters issues with sizing, but these two employees are top notch as well ! Terrible experience. Slumloard of clothing. Went to pick up my child's clothing, so glad I didn't have it delivered, everything wrong except the tie. It was complete incompetence, from the measurements at the school, to the pick up. The feeling of being at the DMV was discusting. Completely shower worthy after finally leaving. I have only experienced such gross incompetence one other time, sleepys mattresses. This was worse. The staff had no clue as how to properly and efficiently help the public. Obvesley a trickle down effect learned from the owner. I feel for anyone who has yet to go through this, with this embarrassment of a company. Due to the lack of organization, structure, and pride in effiency I can only assume this is a hand me down company. Not only do you have to wait an eternity just to be waited on, but then the cashier has to manually enter every item number in an embarrassingly outdated and slow computer system. 10 days ago, I ordered a sweatshirt for my son and made the grave error of saying I'd pick it up. Last year, I ordered my daughter's uniforms here and we were able to wait 20 minutes and take everything home the same day. So I assumed 1 sweatshirt would be a painless process. When I hadn't heard from the store, I called to see if the sweatshirt was ready and was told that it was. When I got to the store there was a line to "check in." I finally got a number and then had to wait some more. When my number was called, I ... waited some more. I've now been at this store for 35 minutes to pick up 1 sweatshirt that I ordered 10 days ago. But I get to do it all again because -- you guessed it -- the sweatshirt actually won't be ready for a week! read more

I had to wait in that hellhole for over an hour for someone to retrieve my box and let me pay for it. People who had to be fitted were done before me.
