He suggested I check the fuses so found out through my mechanic that the fuse to operate FOBs & operate the alternator was missing. Great job! He is experienced enough to know to start looking at fuses first for the problem. Can't thank him enough bc he kept me from having to buy a new alternator that the dealership said was bad.
