I took my 2 kids on an adventure to find the best donut yesterday and we found it on our first stop at Donut Life. We prefer yeast donuts rather than cake and these were amazing. We tried a long JOHN with Bavarian cream, one sprinkles, 2 plain glazed, and 1 glazed with strawberry filling. We also had a kolasach that the argued over who would get to finish it. The donuts were perfectly fried with just the right amount of glaze. The chocolate is very mild, almost like a hot cocoa flavor. My kids loved that they got to watch them fill them and the Bavarian cream was great. The line was long but moved pretty quickly. They only have what's in the case at that moment so during busy times you might see a tray come out of something you want and then it's gone by the time you get to the front. They didn't have any plain glazed to be filled when it was our turn but they said I could wait 2 minutes for one. As soon as the tray came out, they grabbed one and filled it for me. We loved the donuts. We weren't able to try our second spot on our adventure until 2pm because these were so good and when we got the next round my kids asked for the box of what was left from Donut Life instead of the other ones. The only down side here was the coffee. Coffee itself was okay, but they don't have any half and half or milk, only single serve flavored creamers or powdered creamer. Highly suggest they add a regular cream to the coffee station. We will be back!!! read more

This place is just the best. It's easy and quick, the way every don't experience should be. It makes me wish i wasn't on a diet, wish i could eat these donuts all the time! Would recommend any of the jelly/cream filled donuts. Also the employees there, I've only seen one young lady and young man, are super sweet. This locally owned donut shop has incredible fresh donuts and delightful service. My favorite is the lemon filled! The apple turnover is easily big enough for three people! Definitely recommend skipping the nearby chains and stopping here instead. My only complaint is the limited seating and sterile decor. I grew up in Winston-Salem the home of Krispy Kreme and use to ride a bike in the summer about 4 miles after helping a friend deliver morning newspapers... Those doughnuts were great...These are better.. Been there twice now with the first time a line and they had sold out of some of the choices but after settling for remaining ones we can understand their situation. The second time no line and OMG... the racks were full and my waistline was expanding with full guilty pleasure. read more

Terrible service, the manager is terrible at service and all over bad attitude, the Asian guy who was their while I was in the shop was very snarky and forceful. Over all a terrible experience and sad girl that was working their got scolded for sweeping "wrong" and not grabbing donuts fast enough. That girl was very sweet and actually spent time to make sure my donuts which were subpar at that, were correct. Do not recommend and will never go back. read more
