Doody Calls has been a reliable and friendly service. They are thorough and always make sure gates are closed so my pups are safe.

This company hired the most inept and callous people to come service one's per needs. I drove home earlier today and noticed one of their trucks parked in front of my house washing dog poop off his left rear tire. I didn't know at first it was dog poop until he drove off, but I did tell him to move as he was taking my space. His client lives across the street from me. Upon discovering the pieces of dog poop, I took a picture and called their local number, 781-sonething something and spoke with Jake first and explained the issue, and he assured me this is not what to expect from their service and would share it with the local franchisee and they would get back to me. They never did, despite THREE calls to them! This outfit doesn't deserve to stay in Business, and if you dog owners were smart, you should find a more reputable and professional firm than these incompetent, uncaring imbeciles! read more

Multiple times it said they completed the service and "enjoy your clean yard." They never came. There was poop all over the yard and my Ring devices proved that they never even showed up. They have no problem charging for no services. read more

This company is not professional at all. They speed through their one job of picking up your yard, miss a handful of easy to spot poops at every visit and then charge you to remove the poop that that did manage to pickup, on top of the flat rate. Extremely expensive for such poor quality of service rendered. According to their website their "team" come in marked vehicles and uniforms, this is false. Customer service is non existent. Steer clear of this business and seek out family owned local businesses rather than a franchise that cares nothing about their customers and their complaints. read more

Would not recommend using them. They are not thorough and not helpful. Different people come every week, they rush through their cleanup of the yard and miss (a lot) of waste, and then charge you extra to remove the poop they do collect from your property. read more

I contacted this company to set up a spring clean up for my yard. During my initial call I was honest about the fact that I had 4 large dogs and hadn't been able to do a good cleaning of my yard for 3 months or so. My yard isn't very big, roughly 300 - 350 sq ft. The person took down my information and gave me a quote for $100.00 with a $3.00 price for hauling the dog waste away. I agreed and gave them my credit card info to set up the appointment. On 3/20/2019 they came to clean my yard, I got home from work and walked my yard and was very, very disappointed, they barely cleaned half the yard. They left a note saying there was a lot of waste and it was taking too much time to clean the whole yard. I called them and they had the local company call me to explain why they barely got half the yard completed. He told me it was taking longer than an hour, among other limitations which was never told to me when I set up the appointment. I told him none of these rules were explained to me when I called. Needless to say, I advise others to be very careful in setting up an appointment with this company since they seem to have many rules they will never tell you about during the appointment set up. They will tell you why the yard needs more time and money though.... read more

We are very happy with the service. I work from home and the young technician that services our yard is always polite, courteous and friendly. On the couple of occasions poop was missed, it was snowing or raining and honestly the small Chihuahua poop is hard to see even if it was on a silver platter. Received a 4 instead of a 5 because, though I don't call often, when I do, I have not received an email or a return phone call. That said, every one my emails to my local office has had a prompt response. Too bad I didn't remember this the week I called. read more

I have used doody calls for a while, and recently cancelled my service. My issues were with the billing and service performance. A few things have stood out. 1. Billed when service not performed. Doody calls send an email once service is performed, I believe this is an automated system and actually has nothing to do with if the service has been performed. So caution to all if you are not watching your yard during the scheduled visit. 2. After noticing several skipped visits (and still being billed), I reached out to the owners of the local franchise and was informed that their policy is to still bill due to the extra time that it will take them to clean up the yard the following week. I don't think this is ethical or transparent. For example, no notice that we were not able to service your yard today due to XXX, we will perform the service XX date. 3. My wife has mentioned that she has seen the technician checking out the contents of our outdoor refrigerator. Bottom line, yes they clean the yard, some times better than others, the rest of it leaves a lot to be desired. I would not recommend this company. read more

I requested service from this company and asked for it to be preformed on a Thursday or Friday and gave my credit card info. I later received a voice mail saying they could not respond on those days and they would be there on Monday. I called early on Thursday to cancel, I did not need the service on a Monday. I was told I was all set the order was canceled. Monday the truck showed up and I was billed, when I called I was told I did not give enough notice. I then went to the Braintree Ma, office and was told they had no record of my call. A woman then came out of a back office saying she was the owner and asked me to explain. We hired this company to perform an unpleasant service, but that is their business model, as unpleasant as it may be. Today the technician cleaned the yard as he was contracted to do, had no interaction with us, but decided to give our home the double middle finger before he drove away. We were so happy to have this service. We had to call because they didn't show up but we had paid. We called to remind them that they needed to latch the gate. Things seemed to improve until they didn't latch the gate and TWO of my dogs were killed by a coyote. When we called them, they were insensitive and took zero responsibility despite the fact we had it in camera. We have a great new company now. STAY AWAY FROM DOODY CALLS. read more

This service is ok, but the way they are organized is awful. They double billed me and when I called to clarify it, I was rerouted from 1 person to another, none of whom picked up or called me back. I got so sick of waiting for them to deal with their mistake that I called my bank and had them handle it. As for their scooping services, they are ok. As far as I can tell, they come in and rake everything up and haul it away. They've missed some poo before but not that much. All in all, I can't recommend them to anyone due to their deplorable customer service and disorganized/fraudulent billing practices. And to the owner who felt the need to comment on how he didn't provide me with service- Doody Calls' finances are all handled at their national center, which means ALL billing goes through one place- the place that I noted above. Also, the guy who ran the Doody Calls in Somerville, MA- I think his name was Jed- had the audacity to call me and threaten me when I put up this review, telling me that I'd better take it down in a voice I can only guess is one he uses when he's trying to be intimidating. So, to review: National billing center that screwed up my $$, repeatedly. An owner in Quincy who glossed over this in order to mislead readers into thinking that his location was somehow exempt from the crappy billing service. Aaaand someone in need of a major attitude adjustment running the Somerville/Cambridge area's service. I think I'll pass. read more

When I was surprised over the last 7 years with two pups-each well over 100 lbs. now, I was surprised as well with the realization my partner had no intention of cleaning up after them! I immediately contacted DoodyCalls. Best gift I've ever given myself! The workers are always helpful and friendly, keep my yard clean and safe for all. Through all sorts of weather, and occasional difficulty navigating the winter of 2014-2015's huge snowfalls, they never fail! I highly recommend this company! I am a fan of the service. They do a great job of cleaning my yard. I am NOT a fan of their customer service. When I signed upI was told the cost would be $20 per week . The first bill was for $53 dollars. Twice I called about the extra $ 33. I was told it was the initial preparation fee. There was nothing to prepare. I have a lawn service and only had the dog for 6 days when they first came. I was given the run around on the phone and told someone would call me back. No one ever has. I've finally paid it but it has left a bad feeling in my mouth. I was never told of an initial preparation fee and then to charge it is not right. read more

Yes, this business is called Doody Calls, and they are a pet pooper scooper business. They will come and clean your yard so you don't have to and they do it for a reasonable fee. Since they come when I'm at work I've never seen the Doody Calls scooper of poop, but they are thorough and my yard gets cleaned. Works for me. read more

We called this service on Wednesday before Memorial Day weekend for a one time big cleanup because the yard was in bad shape. They promised to come the next day, then didn't show up, and called in the afternoon to say they wouldn't be able to make it because they had too many jobs to do. We told them we needed them to come because we had landscapers coming to work on the yard the next morning at 10, so they said they would come early in the morning. Again, they didn't show up, so we called, and they said they were just too busy, so we would have to wait until Tuesday. That's just great, because when your yard is full of dog poop, and you are planning to have a cookout and play in the yard, etc. for a nice sunny Memorial Day weekend, you can just ignore the stench and the piles everywhere because you know it's going to get cleaned up on Tuesday. What jerks! If they couldn't do it, then they should have told us right away. The worst of it is that I had some time and would have done it myself on Wednesday if I had known they couldn't come. Now, two days and a lot of rain later, it's an even more disgusting job, and I don't have the time. If the landscapers show up later when the weather dries up, they won't be able to do their job.
