Indiana area at present, but sadly, where we had done our laundry (in an Auburn laundromat) Auburn has closed down all but (((one))) laundromat!!! Drugs were being basted in the North Street Laundry, and a fancy shop bought out the Jackson Street place. No attendants were at either of these, and while the 3rd one does have an attendant, you can not get your clothes clean at the 15th Street Laundry! Sis and I started to look for someplace else. We remembered that Garrett used to have one, that we loved. We didn't know it had burnt out; but they have this new place they call "The Wash"; and the owners are knocking their socks off to keep the machines up and have just finished laying new carpet and flooring! Someone is on call all hours they are open, and they are as sweet and helpful as can be! As long as we live fairly close, this is the place for us! We love it, love it, love it!!! Lynn & Christina

In the little over a year that I have lived in Auburn, I have always used the laundry facility at…read morethe apartment complex I live in. Which consists of 1 washer and 1 dryer on the first and third floor of the building your in, they are old and dilapidated, 1.25 for wash and 1.75 for dry. The wash portion is simple and a swift 32 minutes, but quality of wash is poor regardless of temperature settings or brand of detergent you try hoping for a better outcome. The killer is the dry cycle, a large load takes 3 cycles, 1 hour a cycle and a total of 5.25 spent, medium load takes 2 cycles, ie another 2 hours and 3.50 spent. Altogether to run 1 large load and 1 medium load, you have spent 11.25 and wasted 6 hours of your life, with wrinkly clothes that appear to have been pulled out from the bottom of the hamper. Now I painted this extensively worded personal experience to provide contrast to my experience at this local gem of a laundromat. For one medium and one large load, I spent a total of 3.25 and 1 hour and 7 minutes for completion of both cycles w/ both wash loads which were then combined in the availability of a larger utility dryer with an outcome of what you should expect to be freshly laundered clothes. Other than the 6 hours you spent reading this review, if you utilize this local facility you will save large amounts of time + money.
