We did the day tour including Inis Mor and the Cliffs if Moher. The boat we took in the morning to Inis Mor was pretty old but did the job. We stopped off at Inis Orr on the way and it took about 1.25 hours to reach the large island. It would have been great to have some narration on the islands but then again, this part was just a ferry ride so I guess that was not to be expected. The water was fairly choppy so something to remember if you get seasick. On the way back we transferred to a larger and much newer boat on Inis Orr. This took us back to Doolin and we remained aboard for the Cliffs tour. What a beautiful experience! The boat got fairly close to the cliffs and the evening is the perfect time to see them from the water as the sun reflects up on them as it goes down. Narration was provided on this portion which we really enjoyed. This tour was a great way to see this beautiful part of Ireland which I highly recommend including in any vacation! read more

This was a great experience and I would have given it a 5 if the directions had been clearer to us on WHERE we caught the ferry... we didn't realize it but there are 2 separate docking areas ... we waited at what we thought was the correct one, only To realize Once the boat came in that we were in the wrong place. We were with an older person using a cane which made it a little more difficult to get around. however - once on board the trip was fantastic... the crew was extremely knowledgeable, the view unbelievable! Tips... you might get wet sitting outside. If you wait until you arrive at the Cliffs and he will open the forward hatch and you have a great view of the cliffs from the front of the boat read more

I picked Doolin 2 Aran Ferries for my cruise of the Cliffs of Moher. Overall I thought they did a really good job. The cruise lasts about an hour, and takes you over pretty close to the famous cliffs. The day I went, the weather was beautiful, so I got some fantastic views of the cliffs and all of the birds that nest there. It was really breathtaking and I recommend it. The price is pretty reasonable (€15 for the cliffs cruise) and I really like that they don't spend a lot of time yapping over the loudspeaker. They just boat you out there, you take a bunch of pictures and enjoy the views, and then they boat back. I do wish the cruise was a little longer and went a bit further down the cliffs. But its definitely worth your time if you're in the Doolin area. 4 1/2 stars. read more

The value of this company surpasses the others for trips out to the Aran Islands and around the Cliffs of Moher. We bought our tickets online a few days beforehand and saved a few euro. We took a daytrip out to Inisheer, something that I HIGHLY, HIGHLY, recommend for anyone spending more than a day or two in County Clare. Inisheer is bleak and starkly beautiful -- probably one of the most eerily beautiful islands in the world, in my opinion. The ferry trip out to the Aran Islands depends largely on the sea. A few years ago when I did the trip, the sea was so rough that nearly everyone on the boat vomited and the staff started handing out vomit bags to everyone. This must have been an anomaly, because I took the boat a couple years ago and then again just a few months ago, and the sea was much calmer. The trip was quick and everyone was polite and friendly. We hopped off the boat at Inisheer, eager to explore the town, and I realized I'd left my phone on board the boat. I turned around and saw the boat pulling away from the dock. Oh God. My endearing husband darted off past me, running towards the boat, waving his arms, asking them to come back. I was frozen in my tracks, mortified and just totally pathetic and useless. My husband caught their attention and the boat re-docked and threw me back my phone. They were so good-natured and wonderful about it. So was my husband. Long story short, the company is accommodating. On the trip back from Inisheer, they took us on a complimentary cruise by the Cliffs of Moher that was well worth it and tacked on an extra half hour to the trip. Thoroughly enjoyed it. read more

I couldn't believe the shape of the ship we boarded after taking the Aran Island Ferry the day before. The ship was very run down and there was absolutely no information given by crew before we departed, when we stopped, started etc. I do not recommend. read more

We checked with both companies that ran cliff cruises and picked Doolin-2-Aran because the time matched our schedule. Chad is right - value was great. I might say four and half except we called from the cliffs area and asked about the cruise since it was so foggy at the cliffs we could barely see the road. We were assured that the fog was above the sea coast level and we would have spectacular views. NOT! We could see about 50 yards up from the sea and one large "island" fairly well. The seas were so rough that at least five people on our cruise were puking into plastic bags most of the time. My wife and I rode up top in the open air though so while we could see them we didn't have to hear or smell them so it was sort of perversely funny. We had a blast on the rolling and bucking boat ride and my wife was so proud of herself for laughing even when the boat would lean way over to the side when the biggest waves hit us. One other note - there was dolphin that played in the water right at the pier for at least an hour before our cruise and he was still there playing for the few tourists when we got back an hour later. That was pretty cool too. read more

They were great. Definitely recommend. The water was very rough but the crew was funny to keep us laughing. The islands are beautiful and the cliffs at the end were amazing. Tip: on the return trip sit in the back of the boat towards the middle (the sides get wet) so you will get good pictures. read more
