Working much too hard, being constantly stressed out, not getting enough exercise... after 15+ years I'd really messed up my health. Chronic migraine headaches and exhaustion were making it hard to live the life I wanted. Western doctors diagnosed several autoimmune conditions and prescribed thyroid medications. I was told I'd simply need to take the meds for the rest of my life, and I should be fine. Only I didn't feel fine. I kept getting more exhausted, still got chronic headaches (thankfully not as painful), and felt all kinds of other new uncomfortable symptoms. Over the years, I also saw several acupuncturists (across the U.S. and in China) and tried other traditional healing methods. Most helped, but nothing had a strong lasting effect. I wasn't getting healthy. At best, I was just managing to get by. On bad days, I was in chronic pain, unable to function. Finally I got up the energy to find a new acupuncturist and went to see Hae Jung Park. I didn't have much hope, I just wanted a boost to try and make it easier to feel a bit better some of the time. I've now been going to see Hae Jung for about a year. At the very beginning, she told me she knew exactly what was going on. It would take a long time, but she could cure me -- cure. I was skeptical of her promises, after years of talk and promises that never came true. I was going to only believe actual results. Well, I've since seen such results. I no longer take any thyroid medications. I feel better than I have in years. I haven't had a migraine or severe headache in months. I do expect be fully cured, to have a balanced, functioning hormonal and immune system, to live strong and healthy. I really don't know what makes Hae Jung different than other acupuncturists, but her training, her lineage, her intuition, and her experience have somehow merged into a serious force for healing. Hae Jung will change your life. She is thoughtful, intuitive, patient and kind and will help you address physical and emotional issues you didn't even know you had. I started seeing her about 3 years ago primarily because of very bad acid reflux. I had been on prescription antacids for years yet after several sessions and taking herbs she prescribed and following some diet advice she gave me I stopped taking prescription meds and felt so much better. I also had a dramatic decrease in the frequency of migraine headaches, slept better, had more energy, and just generally felt better than I ever had. I got pregnant after trying for just 3 months and felt like this was in-part due to how well my body seemed to be functioning after seeing Hae Jung and also how relaxed I was. Hae Jung helped me throughout the pregnancy as I was very uncomfortable and I ended up having to have a c-section and she helped me heal after that. I have been seeing Hae Jung again more recently for some sinus issues - I have had severe ear pain and an ENT insisted I use nasal spray daily, take a steroid, and possibly have surgery. I have seen Hae Jung for accupuncture twice so far for this issue and have less ear pain. She also identified anxiety issues that I have which I never really brought up (she can tell things - you have to be prepared to have someone see/understand things about yourself even if you are not sharing them and be comfortable with that) and has me on herbs again that are making me feel physically better, more energetic, and less stressed in general. Hae Jung is an amazing healer. I was in town only for the week, and on recommendation by a very good friend, I made an appointment to help relieve anxiety and fatigue caused by a stressful project. The Doraji office is relaxing and thinking back, I never felt rushed. Hae Jung is calming and reassuring about figuring out the best path to a long-term remedy. I filled out a 3 page questionnaire and she asked about my health history and general physical condition/habits - it felt very thorough. During my treatment, she made me feel comfortable and instantly, I started to feel my pressure points responding. Afterwards, I felt recharged! I was so happy! I felt so good, I decided to make an appt to visit her again before I left town. Just as an aside, I had visited another friend in the city before the appt and then saw him again for dinner and he noticed right away I had more energy and seemed rested. The second visit was even more rewarding. As soon as I arrived, I started my treatment and just like the first visit, afterwards I felt recharged. My Hae Jung experience has been life changing. I was having very severe headaches that would last many days along with other medical issues which none of my western doctors could figure out or diagnosis (my General Practitioner, Gastro or OBGYN). Since the first day I started seeing Hae Jung in Aug 2014 I haven't had one headache at all. I first saw Hae Jung for pain in my shoulder which had not improved after weeks of chiropractic treatment.
