I live in Tappahannock and have always owned a golf cart and will need maintenance and repairs in future. I questioned the fee, lil boy said sorry that's what we charge. $ 125.00 for 5 miles away. :( Great... I will never call on that business again. ! What a shame River City is All about the $$$. They came from the eastern shore to service carts in our community near Annapolis. The front-facing customer service woman is very rude, unhelpful. They came to service my cart and it works less well now than before, barely making it up hills. I called and the woman said they don't even service my type of golf cart. Uh, you sent someone out and took my money for....servicing. She said they would call back. They haven't.

However, we put our deposit down on the golf cart at the show and then a week later, went to their shop to complete the deal. At that time, Chuck went over more of the cart with us as to it's care, etc. and we felt very comfortable and excited to leave with our 'new to us' golf cart knowing that Chuck and C & C Golf Carts were there for us and any questions or needs we may have in the future.

That being said, the guy is great at what he does. Jim actively looked for ways to save me money. For example, he sharpened the blade and cleaned the air filter. Any other shop would have replaced both, resulting in a higher bill. Costs of small parts were included in the hourly rate. The only negatives were that he does not accept credit cards and I found his published operating hours to be a suggestion. Call ahead to make sure that he will be there and take adequate cash with you.

I went to get a used golf cart and the first sign should have been that the carts were priced $5-6k when comparable ones on the private market would be in the $3-4K range. I felt like they were trying to pull the wool over my eyes telling me that the golf cart batteries in the used carts, which were already 4-5 years old, would last me another 4-5 years. Anyone who has done research knows that 5 years is towards the end of life. Additionally they did not budge on any kind of discount, even though they are already over priced and we're going to charge a ridiculous price for a few little add on features (such as re keying the lock). The final straw was when we stood at the counter for 10 minutes while the salesperson took phone calls and ignored us.
