Really to just browse, but I did leave with a few Christmas gifts. Very nice boutique. Well-curated with fun things from clothing and accessories to cute hostess gifts, some home decor and kitchen items. Unique things like the cactus shaped earrings and IPA beer scented soap I picked up. Prices are moderate; not any more or less than you might see at a mall. Recommend if you're in the area!

The gentleman owner was keeping the store open after hours when he saw the large group of bike riders milling about at Odie's. Well, that garnered him at least two sales. Many small stores in small towns such as Ely look the part of someone just trying to follow their dream, with little preparation and know-how, but this shop is different. It is well decorated, with careful thought as to how merchandise should be displayed. It is not a bare bones, quickly thrown together place, ala those that are just open for the Christmas season. You know the type. They have a nice selection of clothes geared to Hawkeye fans, Cyclone fans, and bike riders as well. The clothes for cyclists are not biking clothes, rather normal shirts, etc with a cycling motif. They also had merchandise very suitable for baby showers. We made a return trip two days later to pick up a U of I jacket that my wife liked, and the woman on duty was very nice. All in all, a very nice addition to Ely.

We had a splendid experience today at Mary's 2nd Time Around a quaint, hidden gem of a consignment…read more/ 2nd hand store at Lindale Mall in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The store had a wide variety of everything: art, home furnishings, clothing for men and women, some vintage pieces, jewelry, and accessories. There were also books, and lots of things to explore and examine! We found several items that we needed/wanted and the quality of the merchandise was much higher than we would typically find at a Goodwill or other type of shop. In addition she takes card payment through Square and shoppers can use Visa, American Express, Mastercard at the shop! We also had the opportunity to meet Mary, the owner and proprietress of this minority-owned (female/African American) small business. Mary answered all our questions and allowed us to browse without interfering in our shopping experience but was mindful and observant of the things that we were looking for. She unobtrusively offered valuable suggestions when asked if certain items were in-stock and knowledgably directed us to the things she had that we wanted. When we spoke with Mary, she said she has been in the mall for about a year and would love to welcome you to visit her and see what she has to offer. She takes quality consignments as well.
