What a fantastic community space and outdoor recreation center! Totally makes winter in Minnesota…read moreeven better. I'm new to discovering The Trailhead at Theodore Wirth Regional Park, but believe me when I say I'll be back many more time. In the winter, they offer cross-country skiing and lessons. (You can rent a full set of gear for about $30- no need to have your own to experience skiing! They also have à la carte options for cheaper if you only need poles or boots, etc.) Besides skiing, outdoor winter activities also include snow tubing, snowboarding, snowshoeing.... You name it. (I haven't been in fall or summer yet, but I also hear great things about their mountain biking and trail running options.) Inside The Trailhead, there's food and drink concessions, ample seating, lockers, bathrooms, and even rooms for rent. The last time I was there, a family was hosting a young child's birthday party in the multi-purpose room. Altogether, there is an amazing assortment of services here to come and check out. Can't wait for next ski season!

The building is a perfect space for bringing a large group together for games, chatting, eating, and sledding on the snowy hills just outside the doors. They used to serve hot food, but they no longer have that option. The food was not consistent or anything all that special, but it was a nice option. This time we brought Thanksgiving leftovers and some breakfast bagel sandwiches. The space is well maintained and clean. It is spacious and has lots of room for young kids to run around and not be a disturbance. Always look forward to coming here.

The open space brings in a lot of sunlight and gives the space a nice glow. The wooden floors are nicely polished and not creaky. I believe that a person would be quite happy to have a Chowgirls catered event here. The food and the location would be top-notch.

OH MY GOSH. My husband and I just got married at the Solar Arts Building. The space itself is…read moreincredibly beautiful and perfect for a wedding, but what put the icing on the cake was the customer service. We worked with two women, Eleni and Lauren. They were exceptional during the planning process. Always answering emails right away and helping us figure out anything and everything. I had only been involved in one wedding beforehand and was totally new to all things planning and they were both always ready to answer questions. One example is when we found our there was an event in the space when we were supposed to have our rehearsal. My mom and I had a quick freak out but their team was able to get us in the 2nd floor to practice and even sneak us upstairs before the event to do a quick run through. When the day came, I had absolutely nothing to worry about. Everything was PERFECT. Sometime during the reception, another woman on the team, Nathanya, took over and she came up to introduce herself and complimented me on the wedding. It made me feel really taken care of. My mom and I developed friendships with our planners and it was a much more personal experience than I expected which made it all the more wonderful. The space is not only beautiful, but the art studios on the 2nd floor make a perfect spot for the cocktail hour. We loved this because no one had to leave the venue at any time! Chowgirls is also the most amazing caterer. I got endless compliments on the food and desserts. I was nervous about having a buffet, but everything came out piping hot, and the staff just dismissed the tables one by one and it went off without a hitch! I would recommend this venue to anyone. It's beautiful and the staff truly cares about making the day special!

We came here for my husband's birthday around 6pm on a Saturday, and I was shocked it wasn't busy…read more We walked up, checked in at the kiosk, and got into a 9-hole round right away. First time here and it was such a blast!! It's basically tech-infused mini golf with fun obstacles, different scoring, and interactive elements (some holes even have built-in game-style features), which makes it way more interesting than normal mini golf. They're also themed like there's a PAC Man one, trivia was my favorite!! there are multiple different courses/"tracks," so you can mix it up if you play more than once. We grabbed drinks at the bar beforehand, but there was even someone walking around while we were playing asking if we needed anything--such a nice touch. I only played one round of 9-holes but while my husband and nephew played a second round, I ordered food and tried the Poke Tuna Nachos--which look exactly like nachos but with spicy tuna, avocado crema, wonton chips, etc. Funny enough, the bartender thought I said poke bowl so I got the wrong dish first BUT he let me keep it and sent out the right order--super nice and handled perfectly. Overall, such a fun, easy date night or group hang spot. Cheap, memorable, incredibly fun - can't beat it! We'll definitely be back.

We got the margarita flatbread, pad thai chopped salad, and shiitake mushroom potstickers all of which were so delicious. They have a variety of different cuisines on the menu which I usually get nervous about at restaurants as to meaning they're not experts of anything but everything we got was so well done I was so impressed and really enjoyed it. There's not a tone of vegetarian options but the ones we got that they had were so good. The mini golf was fun but because it's all technology managed, it was hard for my dad to understand, and he was the reason we came, so it was a bummer that it wasn't super accessible to older folks. That said, it was cool the holes had interactive components and that there's drink service as you play and it's a nice environment . We just did the 9-hole which was fun but went really quick, but everything is just expensive which is why we didn't do anything else.
