Just as nice and consistent, as all the other locations I stay at. The lobby is spacious and very comfortable. There's a onsite restaurant, and a little snack area to purchase items at. The hotel receptionist are all very nice and friendly. Customer service is top notch, and this includes the housekeeping staff. Rooms are more than comfortable, and very clean. read more

We stayed for two nights. Chrck in was fast and easy. The front deak was courteous. The lobby was clean and smelled nice. The restaurant/bar had a decent amount of people at it to make one believe it was pretty good (we did not partake). The room was spacious and clean. The bed and the shower were both AMAZING. We had a fantastic nights sleep both nights. The shower was an oversized walk in and the water pressure had us wanting to stay just for the shower. The pool was a decent size and there were plenty of chairs and towels around, as well as a fooseball table. The pool could definitely use a good scrub along the walls, but when we complained about the water being too cold they immediately sent someone to turn up the temp. Overall, it was a great stay. Would be better with breakfast included, but it was a very positive experience. read more

Met here for two day/one night work meeting. Used the board room. Service was great. Lunch was delicious - from the hotel kitchen. I had a Cobb salad both days and both were very good. No issue with front desk staff. Seemed very attentive. Didn't use the bar but the decor was sharp. Room was clean and comfortable. All freshly remodeled. Great shuttle service to/from Midway. Also had elevators locked down - needed room key to activate. read more

Conveniently located to the Chicago Midway airport, this Doubletree is a fully renovated hotel with all the modern finishes and furnishings a business travel expects. Housekeeping does an excellent job each day and the front desk staff are friendly and attentive. The on-site restaurant, Coaches, offers an outdoor patio and extended hours. Fitness center is well equipped. There's a spacious pool area (but no hot tub). Lots of parking and an airport shuttle that runs every 20 mins (it services all of the hotels in the strip though - so build that into your checkout time). read more

Such a very nice hotel. Very close to the basketball courts for tournament play. Loved everything about it but the price was a little steep. Also don't drink the water bottles in your room or you will be charge $3. As a Hilton member I usually get 2 bottles. Here you need a higher rated membership. They did give us a free cookie upon check in that was jetted in a heat drawer. That was amazing. read more

I stayed one night at this location and was not disappointed. I often stay at Hilton properties because I find consistent and great customer service, wonderful beds, and all the touches that make my stay wonderful. Upon arriving, they still have a mask mandate, I was given 2 cookies (a DoubleTree tradition) and asked if I needed bottled water. The property is lovely and it has a host of amenities. My room had a BATHTUB which is a must for me! I made sure when I booked that I would get a room with a tub. The nice thing about staying at this location is that it's a GROUP of hotels that have a single shuttle service to and from Midway airport. The shuttle runs 24 hours (every 20 minutes). My only comment to management staff is to be sure to provide at least 2 little bars of soap - my room had 1. These are tiny bars that many hotels are using now and while I actually commend the hotels for going more green with the tiny bars, 2 per room works for both the sink and shower/tub. read more

We stayed here for a quick trip! When we arrived to our hotel at 3:40 AM after a long delayed flight, we weren't in the best of spirits, but Mary at the front desk somehow got us to smile and giggle! The shuttle drivers helped us with our bags and the bar tender refilled my to-go water cup while we were waiting for our to-go order at Coaches. This is the first time in a long time where I didn't walk into a hotel room and question if it was really clean - it was clear it was. It really is the little things that make an impact. We had 3 room reservations. We came a day early adding another night to one room. When we left we were charged 9 nights. Then credited 4 nights. Still cannot get anyone to call me or do anything about the additional night we are due a refund for!!! Unhappy! Sally P read more

So I visited this location to go to a funeral after I checked in I went to the bar ordered drink and food after it arrived a short African American security guard told me the bar was closed and I had to leave the area I was like your joking she said no and continued to hover over me until I left..she made me feel very unwelcome and i should have checked out but it was late ..here's the kicker I spoke to the day shift manager who comped my entire stay was sent a email from American express saying the charges were removed only to be billed for it again 3 days later...I reached out and now I'm being told they will remove the bar bill but that's all...I have contacted American express 4 times they refuse to allow me to talk to upper management so 3 things are about to happen 1. No more #hilton stays 2. No more #Americanexpress purchases 3. And to file a BBB complaint read more

UPDATE: I checked with staff the next day and the room had been taken out of service. The lady working the desk was super nice and took it seriously and took the time to explain their process for dealing with bed bugs. Picture it. After a long day at work on the night of October 30th 2022, there was a Halloween surprise in my hotel room that came a day early. Found this bed bug crawling on my pillow as I was laying down IN THE BED. I packed my things. Collected the evidence in a cup for them and headed down to the front desk to let them know of the problem and to receive a new room. Now, I travel for a living. I'm in hotel rooms more nights out of the year than I am in my own home. Typically, if there are bed bugs in a room you have to treat the two rooms on each side of the room as well as the rooms above and below the room. The front desk guy did apologize, however seemed nonchalant about the situation. He did not mention he would rectify the situation, have the room treated, etc. just gave me a new room and sent me on my way. I'm almost positive they are going to check someone else into that room without fixing the situation. I usually love double tree hotels, but I will avoid this one in the future. So be aware if you are staying here in the near future. Room 223 has bedbugs. I have a video as well but help won't let me upload. read more

From Management : Kamisha -above and beyond doesn't describe her help Started with Paris at front desk always helping me and a kind word Mary Hart---same attitude and what makes this all exceptional was the staffs sincerity Anna Ana Jasmine Difficulties as I was injured and they found a wheelchair, even brought me food and helped me in elevator. I have never been injured so this was quite the issue for me. I am finding the CEO and personally telling them my experience. I have to say Hilton is my hotel. However I may need to change. DoubleTree by Hilton in Chicago Midway. Needs to reviews the customer service. The front desk should be welcoming. Angle at the front desk made you feel as though you were bothering him. We just asked if they offered transportation to restaurant. He acted offended. I also asked the hours of the restaurant. He told me I could walk over and ask the waitress. I'm sorry I feel like you should know the answer to that question. read more

*Note: Writing a review of a hotel I went to pre-Coronavirus social distancing guidelines. Please stay at home everyone! We can beat this together! What an amazing hotel! After getting stuck in Chicago after a missed connection back in February, DoubleTree really went out of their way to make sure we were as comfortable as we could be. The Front Desk staff was very helpful and provided us with toothbrushes, toothpaste, and the famous DoubleTree Walnut Chocolate Chip Cookies (YUM)! We didn't have our luggage for the night so this was great they had these essentials available. Shout out to Southwest for providing us with the room and also travel credit for the missed flight. The room was just perfect - very clean, comfortable beds, and nice bathroom. Each room also had a fridge and separate sink apart from the bathroom, which was nice and came in handy. Although our trip didn't go as planned, this was a great spontaneous detour! The DoubleTree made us feel at home the entire time. What's great is that the hotel is in walking distance of classic Chicago-style pizza joints: Lou Malnati's and Giordano's. You can't really go wrong! We were offered cookies at check-in, when leaving and arriving back at the hotel for the night, and at check-out! Shuttle service also available to and from the airport. Now, that is some great service! read more

WOW! A quick three day trip home to Chicago celebrating my moms birthday, and I needed a nice comfortable and quiet place to sleep for two nights. Never stayed with Doubletree before and this choice was perfect. The pricing matched the accommodations, as you get what you pay for. The staff was pleasant and attentive. The hotel was clean and had plenty of hand sanitizer throughout the hotel, even on the elevator. My room was spotless, comfortable bed, clean and comfortable sheets and comforter. I was extremely pleased with this hotel and it's in the middle of everything, minutes from the airport. If you haven't figured it out by now, this will be my host hotel going forward. read more

Can't really complain. One of the best Doubletrees I've been in. Definitly will revisit. Service was above average.

So we checked in online and went straight to our room. Opened the door and there was already somebody in the room. The guy wasn't too happy we walked in his room and it is understandable. We went back to the counter and talked to the Operations Manager. They acted like it was no big deal. They had to call a supervisor to move our room and the supervisor just said oh sorry. I told her this could have been bad in so many ways. Then on the day we checked out I asked the front desk about the shuttle to the airport and they seemed super bothered I was asking. Overall I wasn't happy at all with this hotel. Our room was ok, the was soap wrappers on the bathroom floor that weren't picked up, hairs in the shower and floor and a broken cabinet door on the fridge. read more

Stayed at this hotel for the firs time on a visit to Chicago. My husband and I did not sure what to expect since we had never flown into Midway Airport before. The hotel was very close to the airport which was very convenient. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Upon arrival we were greeted and given delicious cookies. My husband ate mine because he is a Cookie Monster and he mentioned the cookies were really good. The hotel was clean and the hallways and room always smelled fresh and clean which I really appreciated because I am a clean freak. I have traveled to several hotels and have experienced musty, stuffy smells which tuned me off. I am also a bug and germ freak so before settling into any hotel room, I inspect for bedbugs, cleanliness, etc. I was very happy to find no bugs and the bathroom was neat and clean. Furthermore, the bathroom had a fan which I went crazy over because most other hotels do not have fans in their bathrooms and that has always bugged me! The room temp was perfect and my husband and I were very pleased with our stay. The location was also great because Lou Malnati's Pizza was in walking distance along with TGI Fridays and Lou Malnati's is one of our favorite restaurants. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel. On our future trips to Chicago, this hotel will be our go to hotel for sure. read more
