We stayed at the Double Tree for four nights before our departure for a cruise. The hotel is very conveniently located in Sultanahmet and close to numerous places of interest in the Old Town making it extremely walkable. It is also close to ferry lines and tram lines in case you don't wish to walk as much. The rooms are quite comfortable and there is an ample breakfast buffet that is about $30 USD per person (unless you have a rate that includes it). The breakfast choices were extensive. Staff if very professional and friendly. The only thing that I would have like to have seen different was the way people are informed of the charge for breakfast. Perhaps people have walked out without paying or later acted as if they didn't know, but twice we had staff hovering over us with the bill appearing like they worried we were going to not sign the check. If that was the issue, it could be remedied by having the paying guests sign before sitting down. read more

We stayed here for 3 nights this week during our stay in Istanbul and it was a great choice in terms of location! We walked everywhere from the hotel and everything is within 15 minutes. Had a double bed room and it was perfect for our family. Enjoyed their breakfast in the morning due to my Hilton Honors status so it was complimentary. It was surprisingly good because we had eggs every morning with milk and hummus and lots of bread options. Lots of cheese and deli meats and fruits. You can even order your own omelette! Staff are friendly. They even brought us complimentary cake for the birthdays we were celebrating. 75 euro for private airport transfer which is what we did for both trips from and to the IST airport. You can book through the concierge. Concierge also helped us book a Bosphorus Cruise for sunset and only costs 19 euro per person. Fun 3 hours in the evening! read more

This place was extremely hard to find on a Friday afternoon even with an experienced driver. The issue was the 30 minutes it took to travel the last two miles and blocked roads causing you to keep going around the block. Bed is pretty standard but no top sheet! Also no face wash cloths to wash your face with. It's a failure of most of Europe to not recognize the importance of washing your face and body with a cloth. Bring your own face cloth. Thermostat was kind of cryptic with just symbols. To my western friends, just dial it down to 15 and set the fan on high and leave your second key in the key slot and you will return to a better environment. Breakfast was mostly awful, especially the flavorless reconstituted eggs. Do yourself a favor and order an omelette. There is a card under your placement to do this. read more

This hotel is a short walk to the tram station. It is within walking distance of most popular tourist sites, Blue Mosque, Cistern, Grand Bazaar and the Spice Market. The staff are very friendly and helpful read more

Stayed at this Doubletree back in July of 2016, and let me just say it was one of the best stays at a hotel. It was newly built which was definitely a pro, the staff was extremely welcoming and helpful. No matter what my family and I needed, they were able to assist. Hotel and surrounding area were clean. The only con I would have to include was the breakfast buffet, it wasn't pleasant at all and not worth the price that was paid (additional for each person) so after a one time of trying it, I was happy we didn't include it in our stay. Its location was ideal. Located within walking distance to all the general tourist sites and walking distance behind the hotel is a whole new area of restaurants and the view of the sea. Another pro was definitely the Doubletree cookies haha no matter if you're in the States or across the world, they are still delicious. It was our first time in Turkey and it was an absolutely great trip. read more
