Best animal hospital in central Arkansas! With 3 of the best veterinarians in the state, your fur baby is sure to get the best care possible. They understand how important my animals are to me and genuinely care. The entire staff is kind, caring, and knowledgeable about pet care needs! I cannot say enough great things about this clinic!!

Since he retired, Dr. Brian Barron has taken over ownership of the clinic. I have found their vets. to be superior in all aspects of their care. Knowledge of current state and treatment of acute animal illnesses, as well as management of chronic conditions, e.g. My senior dog had severe arthritis in her spine. Dr. Barron, my vet, recommended weekly laser treatments to her back to reduce pain and inflammation. She responded very positively to the treatments. Dr. Barron heads the clinic, & has 2 Associate veterinarians that work with him. They are thorough in their examination of your pets, kind & considerate, explain steps of the treatment plan to you clearly, are not rushed when they are examining your pet, & honest in their responses to your questions. Office staff are polite, friendly, professional, and efficient. They clinic moved to its current location late last year. The new clinic on Kanis Rd is bigger & more spacious than previous location. Has a large waiting room for patients, has more exam rooms, and plenty of free parking. Clinic offers boarding and grooming. It may cost slightly more than other clinics, but the confidence and trust you feel in the care of your pet is worth the expense

Briarwood's folks were prompt and wonderful on the phone. They knew exactly what offerings they had, their schedule, prices, with no hesitation over the phone. They were willing to take in both of our dogs and a stray (THREE dogs) in one appointment, and that appointment was a masterclass in caring efficiency. Taking care of three dogs at once is impressive, but doing it with care and making sure each one gets the individual attention they need is unheard of. Not only did we get thorough checkups and necessary shots for everyone, but since they're a groomer too they threw in things like nail trimming (much needed for my old, slow dogs) just as part of the appointment. That alone was huge. I was particularly shocked when a little less than a week after our appointment, the vet we saw called to follow up and see how the stray was doing (he'd been malnourished and weak when we brought him in) which was above-and-beyond, and exactly the kind of thing I look for when trying to find someone to look after my furry friends. Seriously, I could not recommend Briarwood more!

The previous owner, Dr. Laura, was like family. Well, I can honestly say that Pinnacle Valley Westrock Animal Hospital is still the best for me and my family. While I have seen a number of veterinarians there, Dr. Sonya is my dogs PCP. She is the best. She knows her stuff, but more importantly, she loves animals. The love at Pinnacle Valley shows throughout the place. It isn't just Dr. Sonya but the entire staff there is firing on all cylinders. They are really kind people. You know when someone is an animal lover. It is a calling. That is definitely true of Dr. Sonya. The kindness Dr. Sonya and her staff have shown me in recent weeks while we were dealing with a dearly loved pet with a terminal illness was so appreciated and so meaningful to us, I cannot adequately describe how much it meant to my family and to me personally. I can't imagine taking my pets anywhere else. I just can't say enough good things about Pinnacle Valley Westrock Animal Hospital. Over the last few months, my dog had several infections from the original surgery, and my vet determined that his body was rejecting the implanted plate. Today, I dropped him off for this surgery, and it was truly a day filled with concern for my dog and compassion and graciously generosity for the work they did, how the kept me updated throughout the day, and just overall how they treated me and my pup. I am forever grateful. I know there were some new people, but the staff that worked with me previously came out to greet me and welcome me, and they were INCREDIBLE. One came out to share how her dog had gone through the same and gave me tremendous hope that my boy will be running again in a few weeks without the pain he's struggled with for months. I have been bringing my rescue kittens here and have seen all three vets over the past several months. Each of them has been kind, knowledgeable, attentive, and patient - everything I could hope for in a vet! They are up-to-date on contemporary research on diet, dental health, etc. Each of them takes the time to talk with me, answer all my questions, and give me tips that I hadn't thought to ask about based on upcoming developmental stages (this is my first time with kittens - I have always had adult cats). In contrast, during my last annual appointment at a vet in the Heights, they didn't even take my cat out of her carrier - just reached in to jab her for her vaccines without providing any sort of wellness exam and walked out before I even realized it was over. I haven't compared prices with other vets, though other reviewers say they find the costs here to be comparable to others in the area. As long as you can afford it, no one else I have seen in Little Rock comes close to the level of care I have observed at Pleasant Valley. PSA (sorry Pleasant Valley): if cost is a big factor for your family, there is a low-cost walk-in vaccination and spay/neutering clinic in Little Rock that is open twice a month. However, if cost isn't an issue, the level of care (and much lower stress / lack of wait time / ability to schedule an appointment) makes Pleasant Valley an easy choice.
