After everything was said and done with my auto insurance, the price was $50 cheaper than my current company with better coverage! I couldn't believe it. My home insurance was a few hundred dollars higher, but it came with much better coverage. It was well worth it because of Amy's customer service and patience with me--lol. I would much rather pay a little more for wonderful customer service, where I can speak to a representative, than pay less and have to track someone down.

Firstly, I recently found out that the service line coverage was not added to our homeowners policy…read morewhich was supposed to have been added years ago. I personally spoke with our previous agent Mike over the phone and I also emailed him about adding this coverage and he assured me that he had already added it to our policy. Well, he did not! Thank goodness we never ended up needing to use it over the years. If we had we would have been screwed! So secondly, Mike retired and they switched us to a another agent Tony. Then they emailed me a survey and I replied to the survey and only gave the new agent Tony 3 stars. He called me upset and was yelling at me... Yes, yelling into the phone at me asking me why I gave him such a low rating. I informed him that he does not do what our previous agent Mike did when our renewal came around and that is run rates for us to see if we can get our coverages at a lower cost. He then proceeded to tell me that he has over 700 clients and he does not have time to do this, blah, blah, blah. Well, I have been doing this myself i.e. shopping/getting quotes and guess what...?! I found a different insurance company and we are saving $1,806 per year with the same exact coverages plus in addition our new insurance company included service line! Tony at Smith Davis told us he couldn't add the service line coverage midterm. We would have to wait until our renewal in September. This was unacceptable to me, especially because it was supposed to have been already added years ago. That just reinforced my decision to search for a different company. Just think of what we could do with that amount of saved money. So, we do not recommend doing business with Smith Davis because I know we will never do business with them again that's for sure! Lastly, Tony, I hope you're ecstatic now that we have relieved you of at least one customer so now you can just have 699.
