She had to have emergency surgery with blood transfusions. She survived thank goodness but her aftercare was not so great and they did not provide her with proper pain management in my eyes. Tylenol really?? None of this is the hospital's fault technically but it all comes into play. I think this was more of a provider error. On the other side, my elderly mother always receives excellent care and she visits frequently unfortunately. The nurses are always so kind to her and our family, keeping us well informed, and giving Mom tender loving care. So much so that my Mom sometimes doesn't want to leave! We did have one bad Emergency Room incident recently where they sent my Mom back home, only for her to return the next day, resulting in a hospital admission. They hire contracted ER docs and sometimes, I think, they just don't want to be bothered. These three scenarios average out to a Three Star but this is why I am giving the hospital four stars. Many of the nurses and CNA's are excellent! Heather is one and there are a few night shift nurses that, when I call, late at night, asking all kinds of questions about my Mom, they take the time to explain everything! One even told me, when I told her I was so worried and couldn't sleep, to call back as many times as I needed, to check in on my Mom.....How sweet is that?!! It brings tears to my eyes just writing this. She has no idea how comforting that was to me that particular night when I really felt my Mom was in grave danger. Thank you to whoever it was! I wish I had her name! She was my angel that night!

The hospital is really clean and you must wear your face masks. :-) When I came in, the security guard got me a wheelchair and wheeled me to the desk to check in, while my husband parked. I was checked in really fast, and than went to get my vitals done and etc. Five minutes later, Dr. Nolan and Nurse Taylor. I described my issue and was diagnosed with Piriformis syndrome. I am in so much pain with my back and legs. Thank God I am really healthy, just this pain and muscle spasms. I was given two prescriptions, and before I left, I was given some medicine to relieve me from the pain. I will be fine in a few days. Thank you Dr. Nolan, Nurse Taylor and staff. My visit was nice.

This has got to be one of the worst hospitals in the state. Based on personal experience within…read moreour family alone, the number of issues that constitute malpractice, gross negligence, lack of communication, mistreatment of patients or their family members by this place is too numerous to list. Do not send your loved one here unless you want them to be treated rudely, incompetently, without even mildly acceptable medical explanations or advice. Being a rural area, the hospital ends up with an unacceptably large portion of less desirable medical personnel. Unfortunately, this applies even more regarding management. They have a very few decent staff, but the odds are not in your favor! Further, they lie about their Emergency Department wait times being good. We have seen numerous people suffering for literally hours and hours during quiet slow times. I felt so bad for strangers in severe suffering waiting completely unacceptable amounts of time. We've seen a patient having a cardiac situation being asked to unnecessarily exert themselves. Cruel treatment of patients. And even when they mistreat a patient and you try to advocate for that patient calmly, coherently & without being at all physically threatening in any way, they will accuse you of being aggressive and call the police! We have witnessed them do this more than once. They are scared of being caught in their cruelty, incompetence, sadism & laziness. While we would never advise going there, make sure you have as many witnesses as possible, because they will do everything they can to hide! If we stand up as a community, we can begin the process of rooting out everything they try to cover up. If you don't feel like speaking up for yourself, do it for your neighbor!
