I was scheduled last minute with Rebekah. I was pretty nervous because I've had some traumatic haircuts in the past and I expressed that to her as soon as I sat in the chair. Don't be fooled by her quiet nature and delicate touch. Rebekah is an absolute BEAST behind the scissors! The teacher Mrs Marie was knowledgeable, very professional and very patient. all I can say is....WOW... I couldn't be happier with the result. Rebekah should be so proud of herself. Her precision, attention to detail, and patience blew me away. If anything, I just hope she steps into her confidence even more because her talent is undeniable. I asked for a caramel balayage with money pieces and I showed them my inspo (the second photo). They said they couldn't get me that light and I was okay with it being a dark brown. I actually did not mind the orangish color of my hair shown in the first photo if it actually looked like the inpso photo and not that they just colored my whole hair orange and only left the top black. I had a wedding to go to in the morning that was in Canada and I left for Canada right when I left the salon. I cried for 2 days because of my hair and ended going to Walmart while in Canada and getting black box dye and dying my hair black. I am happy I did because I cannot believe they let me walk out of the salon like this. I said nothing because I didn't want to be mean and I'm very selfless so the whole time I was being nice and saying sorry because the girl doing my hair kept complaining about how long it was taking. It genuinely shouldn't have taken that long but the girl was doing EVERY SINGLE strand of my hair instead of sections. I am very disappointed and I will regret it forever my hair is very severely damaged now too. Another thing I also realized was the fact that you could finish in 8 months which shocked me because they were all 18 year old freshly out of high school, working on hair for barely 8 months and then getting a job at an actual salon. Like that's concerning. I can't even explain how disappointed I am. The girl I had was very nice but complaining. I could tell she did not want to work on me. She left before the toner and didn't see my hair properly. Like girl if I was her I would have been so disappointed because I could've done this at home. I ended paying the $60 dollars and said nothing and cried the whole way to Canada. Words can't describe how disappointed I am please please please do not go here. DO NOT GO HERE TO GET A BALAYAGE!!!

Averie was inexperienced at Spiral Perms (I was her first one ever and she'd not even practiced it…read moreon a mannequin!). She got very little guidance and because I have had several spiral perms, I assisted her through the process. It took from 10 am until just prior to 4 pm for my perm. Again, this was due to her inexperience and the need for her to be guided more than she was. The perm turned out excellent. She did so well for someone who had never done a perm on a person. She said she'd only done perms on a mannequin, but they didn't use any product, so I'm impressed that she was able to do it. I am unhappy that it took 6 hours, but I have a lot of kudos for Averie. Not so much for her teachers whose job it is to guide her throughout the process. I heard them complain to Averie that it took all day and I heard the one teacher complain to another that Averie was still not done (help her, maybe?) I'll definitely go back and give them another shot and I even hope that I get Averie again (although I am sure she is sick of giving perms lol).

I thought it was pretty random as, well let's face it there are not any stylist for black hair in Morgantown. I mean non that I know of. Everyone I know either does their own hair or travels to Pittsburgh. I messaged Errol and asked about getting my hair done. He said Bianca would be able to do it. I came in a little early and she got right to work! Bianca did an amazing job! She did a good wash, put me under the dryer and even made sure that I was super comfortable. Keep in mind she is a STUDENT so of course she was nervous and was hoping she did a good job. She was perfect! I will be making this a normal thing from now on I will be getting my hair done once a month. It was 12 dollars!! I gave her a twenty! I sent her pics over the weekend thanking her because she Did an amazing job. It did take a while from start to finish, however I had some really bad dead ends and a lot of hair to straighten. It's a process so please go with some time and patience. While I was there I watched the owner Errol assist students with haircuts and they turned out really great! So if you want to try a new barber come check them out for that as well!

They do blowout boot camp and it's basically the only thing they really do, do. The one teacher Katie literally stinks so bad. I don't understand how you can hire someone for a beauty program who can't even keep up with their health. It's so bad respectfully you gotta plug your nose. The teachers don't even do their hair. They look a mess which is crazy to me. The front desk girl they had while I was there, the red head (didn't care to remember her name she doesn't deserve to be remembered) . Good god. She needed to be fired asap. She would legit argue with us like she had a right. She didn't. She was so snotty and everyone hated her. Austin tried but he needs to maybe try to start being a teacher and not our best friends. They force clients on you and then say they will help you but then have 2 teachers out there who when they do help you, make it look horrible and god. When it comes to toners good luck. They don't know nothing. They hide the bleach so you can't practice with it on the floor. the environment is so hard to want to stay. If they want to have a good place where you actually learn and people want to actually be there, then they need more people like the Ashley. She actually takes the time and shows you exactly what to do step by step. Being in a HUGE class like they do makes it so hard to focus. Goodluck. They will not back up the staff no matter what. They implement policies and when you try to enforce them, you are the bad guy. Students are allowed to be aggressive and cuss you out and again, you are the problem, not them. To be perfectly blunt, this place sucks.
