Over a month ago, I scheduled a toner, cut, and wash. I was told I had to have a blow out and consultation as a first time client - okay, yes I get it. She said "I'm not going to schedule you a toner because Ty will add it after the consultation at your appointment." I said "okay, but I want the toner done at that appointment so schedule it longer if you need to do both". It's not complicated. I've never been to a salon as a new client that can't do this. I've talked to this salon 3x over the last month because I was on the cancellation list. Prior to my appointment, I find out I was never scheduled for a toner like I requested the 3 other occasions on the phone. Of course I canceled my appointment and read the negative reviews with similar problems. Kaylie is my hair stylist and she absolutely KILLS it every single time! I came in after bleaching my own hair at home, and then attempting to box dye it black afterwards. And has worked absolute magic on it! She fixed it the first time to be exactly what I wanted. I have gone to her every single time since then and she has a customer for life with me. Took my daughter in for a wash, cut, style. They quoted one price, around $60, and then the stylist told me it would be a little more to style it because she has long thick hair. I said that was ok. Went to pay and she told me it would be $125!!!! That is not little more! And the over all cut did not come out even because in spite of her claims she was clearly not experienced with thick hair. It's been over a year since I received a keratin treatment here and my curls still have not returned. This is extremely disappointing! If I had known this was going to happen, I would have never paid upwards of $350 for this service. I have had keratin treatments done in the past and I am very familiar with how they work - especially on my own hair. I have never had my curls not return after the keratin treatment wears off. Though I enjoy her work, I won't return to this salon because the front desk staff is consistently not courteous, rude to customers, and would rather sit around chatting amongst themselves. I called to see if I can get in to get my hair glossed. The woman on the phone said that since I'm a first time client, that I have to book it with a blow dry session. I've been to many hair salons before and blow drying was always an option, not a forced service that you must have. I asked her why and she responded that they needed my hair to be dry so they can look at the color. It's a gloss, I'm not getting color. I'm sure their reasoning was that they wanted to make more money than just getting a small service. Intentionally I would've booked a style with gloss, wash and dry, but if I am being lied to and forced to have a service done, then I will take my business else where. read more

After reading Jaclyn review I made an appointment with Zach. He was awesome. Like Jaclyn I have a cow lick. We just moved here. I have not been able to find anyone I liked. Zach ask me my concerns and did exactly what I ask. He gave me so much advice. The only negative thing is the salon takes all types of credit cards but they don't allow tips on the credit card. They do provide a small envelope to put cash tip in. I will be dropping off a tip the next chance I get. read more

Zach Griffith at Doug's 2 Salon is truly a master of his craft. He was my regular stylist when I lived in Prattville for years, and, since moving west, have realized just how talented he is. Whenever I have a chance to come back for a visit, I look forward to getting a fresh dew from Zach. I barely have to tell him what I want to do with my hair (usually haven't the slightest clue) and he always surprises me with a really great cut. My son was doing an internship outside of Montgomery but needed his hair cut. My husband made the appt for 6:30pm since he did not got off work until 5:30 and there had been construction on the roads. He was told that was fine but if he could be there at 6:15 that would be better for a consult. We arrived at 6:27 and they told us we had to reschedule! We live in ATL and could not reschedule and he had a football camp at college with no time to get a cut! I went to Zach when my regular stylist was booked full for the next few weeks. I had tried at home bleach and the results were disastrous; I turned into a frizzy orange haired monster. Zach sat me down and asked my what I was trying to do, then colored it the most beautiful dark purple I have ever seen. My cut was exceptional as well, I wish I had a before and after to show what an amazing job he did. I almost cried when he showed me in the mirror, I was so relieved and happy! Had my hair trimmed and it looked great!! Then had my hair highlighted. Jason put a RED color on it... I did not request red... I specifically requested light brown with blonde highlights. His response: "Give it a few days... you'll get used to it!!" I was back in three days and asked him to fix it. He refused and said I just needed to give it a little more time. The color looked hideous on me! Finally, a month later he changed it to the way I originally asked. What a mess... I'll NEVER go back! read more

I am really disappointed. I went in for a haircut last week and asked the stylist to cut ONE inch - she did a hack job on my hair, talking the whole time and not paying attention to anything I explained to her. She totally misinterpreted what I wanted and I was kind of in shock when I left, although I tried to be nice and even gave a tip (in retrospect I shouldn't have - she didn't deserve it), but I think she should focus on haircuts instead of talking the client's ear off. She clearly didn't listen to me and this I definitely did not need. I'm never going to this salon again and would not recommend it. read more

Very unprofessional people..the shampoo girls are horrible they wash your whole face instead of just your hair while burning your scalp then manage to lose earrings because they are towel drying your hair so hard it rips them off and then no one gives a crap afterward..also if your gunna train your stylist then train your minimum wage people they act like teenagers with their gossip and not being able to do a basic job...tried this place many times with different people but I'm done and lost business with the whole family actually..don't waste your money or time.. read more

They will rush on you and jack you up.... I have gone there 3 times for a cut and a color. Every time I have went, the stylist (I've seen more than one) was always running late, hence, when It was my turn in the chair, they rushed and didn't do a good job. The last time I went, the stylist cut my hair so uneven, I had to go to another salon the next day to fix it (and I have a pretty easy haircut, I literally just needed a trim in a straight line). The color was always on point, but the hair cut was always jacked up. Twice I had to go home, and fix my bangs myself. I shouldn't have to do that if I'm paying a pretty penny. I will NOT be going there ever again, and I DO NOT recommend them to anyone! read more
