I liked the way they did the assessment and estimate. So when I saw something I thought of them first. They came over and gave an honest assessment that we did not need work done. Great! I asked if they knew someone who could fix an outside porch deck (about 10 by 12 and 100 years old well made with pillars supporting the roof etc). Surprise surprise but they could. While they don't advertise it, they do this type of work too. So he gave us an estimate a few days later. Seemed reasonable to us for the work. Turned out it was because once they tore the deck up it was clear more work was needed. They did it without any issue, and no cost increase. Fab. The two Employes who did the work were polite and quiet. No loud radios blaring. No shouting. No nonsense. Even our neighbors were happy. With all the rain the work took longer than expected, but only because of rain days, not because the actual work took more time. So the estimate of time was right on. If you need roof work, or even deck work, I'd call Naples and see what they say.

Naples Roofing was recommended to us by another roofer who does not work on that type of structure. So we called them & their estimate was close to what a different company quoted last year. Naples understood what needed to be done and, unlike another company we spoke to, did not try to tell us the garage needed to be torn down and rebuilt for twice the money. After we signed the contract & paid the first 1/3 of the cost we had to wait about two weeks for them to do the work. It would have been a longer wait, but they had a cancellation. So three men came by at 9:00 a.m., tore off the old roof etc., and put up twice as many wooden rafters as the contract had called for! They put a new plywood roof, covered it with a waterproof membrane, put up new fascia & some type of protective plastic around the edge, & cleaned out a gutter at the edge of the roof on the main house that I couldn't get to, which had weeds growing in it. They hauled all their trash away, they were pleasant & polite. Husband & I are delighted! The only criticism I have is that they didn't keep in touch with us as far as scheduling the estimate, or scheduling the work. Husband & I are retired & are usually at home & didn't know in advance what day they would be there. Their work is obviously high-quality & it is guaranteed for five years. He kept saying that he was going to come fix it. He'd promise a time and simply not show up, he'd say he was on his way and never show up without a word, or he'd try to come after dark late at night. After 2 weeks of begging him to fix the leaky roof, we had to hire another roofer to do another tear off because it was so bad. We took him to small claims (he didn't show up twice-no surprise there) and we were awarded the full amount plus the cost of the interior repairs. We have yet to see the money owed to us. I have all texts between us and him, as well as more pictures. The judge was disgusted and immediately awarded us the full asking amount. If I could give zero stars, I would.

Well they came today and did another job, the flashing around the chimney. great job, I recommend AJT for any roofing jobs especially preventative maintenance, they will be back in the September to replace the cap on top of the chimney. I needed a complete tear off so in September I scheduled 4 roof estimates with 4 different…read morecompanies. A Best was the second who company that came and gave me a quote. In the end I chose A Best for the job. What made the difference was that I really liked Tom when he showed up to do the estimate. He was very personable and explained everything to my satisfaction. He definitely instilled confidence in the products they use and the work they do. I also enjoyed hearing about the history of the company and how his family started it. The price was more than fair. We made an appointment for him to come back so we could draw up the contract. The contract was pretty straightforward and the entire process was painless. He told me the work would begin in 3 to 5 weeks and it would take 2 days to complete. A few days before the work began I received a call from the foreman confirming the materials were allowed to be dropped off on the grass, and asking me to make sure the driveway was clear for a dumpster they'd be having dropped off. Sure enough the next day the materials showed up, the next day the dumpster got dropped off early in the morning and a crew showed up and got to work. But lemme tellya, not only did they get to work that day but they also finished it. 12 men and one woman who was the foreman who'd called me a few days prior, showed up and they worked from sun up to sun down and they were impressive. They knew their stuff and every time I looked every single one of them was actively working unless they were on a break. I'd heard a one day roof job might not be the most desirable but this one was only one day and it was great. I'm happy with it and so is my husband. I for sure recommend them.

My 84 year old mother hired ABest to replace her roof several months ago. My mother lives alone in…read morea small house in Kenmore. I live in a different state, so I was helping her arrange everything remotely. We decided to choose ABest over the other companies that provided estimates because of the sales person who came over to give her the estimate. He seemed like a good guy. He gave me a nice pitch over the phone about how we needed to take care of the older generation. All sounded great! I thought she would be in good hands. All the estimates we received were around the same price. My mother's house has a small entrance way in the back that has a slightly pitched roof. On the contract that she signed, it specified that no flat roof sections would be part of the work. I spoke to the sales guy on the phone asking him to include the entrance way roof. He agreed but never included it on the work order. So, that section was never roofed. Also, my mother HAD a small aluminum folding bench that she used to support herself while gardening in her yard. After the workers finished the job, packed and cleaned up, my mother gave them a check, she noticed that her bench was no longer in the yard. She mentioned this to the foreman. He said that her neighbor came over and took it. The workers left after that. My mother and I both spoke to the neighbor, who has been a close family friend for years, said he did not borrow it. My mother called ABest, upset that someone doing work on her house would steal from her. I also spoke to them and I was told that they would replace the bench. This never happened. I spoke to them 4 times over the past 3 months about this issue. I was promised each time that a bench would be dropped off but it still hasn't happened. I called for the final time today and told them what awful people they are to take advantage of an 84 year old women. It's totally possible that one of the workers thought the bench was theirs and just threw it in their truck during clean up. If so, why say her neighbor came over and took it? One more thing, it took them 2 months to pick up the pallet of extra shingles that sat in my mother's driveway. Each time I called about the bench I asked them to get the shingles. Their work maybe fine, we'll soon find out, but I do not recommend hiring them because they cannot be trusted.
