I had a jammed garage door. When I asked for a quote they made time to deviate from their route to come and help me out. They were onsite within 5 mins and had the whole thing fixed and working like new within 20 minutes. They were very friendly, professional and reasonable with the whole operation. I called on Friday March 6th that my garage door opener was not working. Rich's Expert service installed the automatic door opener a few years ago. He stated he may be out on Monday but would call first. There was a message left on my phone, asking if he could come out and to call him back when I got his message. That was at 10:54 am. So I called him back at around 12:30 pm to ask when he would be over. He said that he was not in the area anymore and was already here. Ok, so I tried to find out when he could be here, then he kept saying my name over and over again then said he did not know when he would be in my area again and hung up on me! I called back to find out why he hung up on me and why he kept saying my name, he stated he was trying to calm me down and that he was busy. Really, I did not shout at him or give him a hard time, just trying to find if and when he could get back over to repair the opener. So again he said had no idea when he would be back in my area and could not give me any time or day what so ever!. So because he was giving me such a hard time I called some one else. My garage door started malfunctioning a week ago, and then died. I yelped garage door mechanics and found Rich's Expert Door (out of Niagara Falls), which had good reviews. They came out within days, but, unfortunately, they didn't service our 20 year-old lift mechanism. As they prepared to put in a new lift, they discovered a shorted wire. They told me, and asked if I wanted it fixed ($87), or wanted a brand new system ($400). Of course, I chose the cheap fix, but I bring this up to make the point: they easily could have replaced the system without telling me the old one still worked. But they didn't. You can bet, when I need a new system, they're the guys I'll go to. You should too. read more
