Dr. Van Beek-Paterson is sweet and kind on the outside, but really holds back her true colours while in the office. Upon having a molar break one morning I contacted the offices of Dr Van Beek-Paterson after business hours and was provided with three emergency numbers. As directed I called those numbers, upon the individual answering the telephone I was greeted with a "Hello". Due to the lack of information provided by the office recording, I was under the impression that I was calling an after hours number. I though it would be known that patients would be calling and the numbers provided and a proper greeting would be given to let patients know they contacted the proper "professional" as directed. I politely requested who was speaking, as I did not want to give my personal story to a stranger. I was greeted with a rude and very aggressive "No, who is this?". Shocked by the response of the individual I was almost sure it could not be Dr. Van Beek-Paterson but it would be later determined to in fact be her. I responded with a confused "I'm sorry?" and once again in a rude and aggressive manner she responded, "No you called me, who is this". I identified myself and requested to speak with Dr. Van Beek-Paterson. She proceeded to ask me what I wanted. Still unknown to whom I'm speaking to I decided to inform her of my situation. With her voice elevated she ordered me to contacted "the other emergency number". I attempted to confirm that number to make sure I had t written down properly. Without a goodbye or warning she proceeded to hung up the telephone as I was mid sentence. Dr. Van Beek-Paterson failed to identify herself during the whole conversation. I once again contacted the office knowing I was to be speaking to a voice mail. I left a voice mail requesting for a call back to discuss the incident. After not receiving a call back as requested I contacted the office two business days later and was greeted by the pleasant front desk staff member. I was informed that there were plans to call me back at the end of the day. No long after I received a call from Dr. Van Beek-Paterson whose tone was immediately aggressive, hostile and condescending. She proceeded to read a scripted speech in an attempted to explain her actions. Although admitting to being the individual that I spoke with, Dr. Van Beek-Paterson took no responsibility in her actions and less then acceptable level of professionalism all while placing blame solely on myself. Dr. Van Beel-Paterson showed no efforts in mending the relationship nor did I receive an apology for her inappropriate business manners. She proceeded to suggest that I look elsewhere for dental care and showed no compassion. Dr. Van Beek-Paterson has shown her true colours and I would like to thank her for that. Her lack of people skill, problem solving and business manners is no way to treat clients or human beings. Due to Dr. Van Beek-Paterson, I shall find a proper dentist that can properly care for my families needs. A true individual that sees people first and money second.

He enjoys his job and its challenges, empathizes with his patients and their needs, always has a back-up plan in his mind in any difficult situations, is blessed with dexterity of hand, is honest and reassuring, and listens to his patients' input. He always makes me feel that I am part of the job, not just the object of it. He always outlines every potential fix and option, including potential outcomes, and offers his advice on the best pursuit. He is always interested in following up on the results of his work, and making any corrections if he or WE deem them necessary. Dr. Pallo is a very knowledgeable person, spontaneously conversational and quick to smile when moments permit. He teaches dentistry at Western University, particularly procedures for difficult situations. He is a technical man with a very human and reassuring persona. Pre-Dr. Pallo, I used to cringe at going to the dentist. Not any more. The entire experience at his office is emotionally reassuring, not fraught with anxiety. His entire staff are aces, truly a functional TEAM in every sense, all sharing the same values and personable projections. His surgical assistants are fussy, well tuned and reassuring (which is every bit as valuable as freezing). His hygienist is equally meticulous, gentle and reassuring. The office and staff always have a cheerful, bright and welcoming demeanour. There are a lot of dental dissatisfaction stories out there pertaining to other dentists. I'm writing this mostly for you patients. If you aren't happy with what is being done for you, the paying customer, why are you still there? You simply won't regret switching to Dr. Pallo. There is enough anxiety in life. Lessen the load on yourself, and get what you pay for. Remember, the job is only as good as the person who is doing it. I hope this helped someone.
