Saturday morning's the church holds a Bible study for men called Man Challenge. It is a way for men to have a cup of coffee and study the word together. Today's message was particularly impactful as it talked about everyone being filled and led by the Holy Spirit and being in His word so that we have a reply to every life situation. Jesus is our Lord and Savior and it is our goal to walk with him in our daily walk. We are all broken people, but it is our faith in Jesus that helps get us through each day. As men we are called to lead our families and be in fellowship with other men so that "iron sharpens iron." The church takes part in many great service projects that help demonstrate Christ. I encourage anyone who wants to learn more about Jesus to come to Man Challenge and partake in fellowship as our campus pastor Greg and associate pastor Mark teach us the word. Or if anyone is interested in worshipping with the campus, please attend one of our services Saturday evening at 5:15, or Sunday morning at 9:00, 10:15, and 12:00.

The fish tacos were a good hit in addition to the hush puppies. Beer, water, and soft drinks are available as well as a select dessert. It can get busy but they move the line quickly. There will be a little wait once ordering. One funny experience my adult daughter had was that a young child told her she had to be a member to go to the fish fry. This is not the case :)

I actually have a long history with Saint Luke's. The congregation and church that I grew up with and still send my kids to is a sister site to Saint luke. My family for years rented out the gym and kitchen for thanksgivings, I had relatives that attended the actual school here when it existed, my nephew play baseball here at the ballpark, one of my daughters baptism was held here, etc etc. The church itself is smaller and is wider then it is deep. The Church pews line up left to right further then they go front to back. Outside the church entrance is a common area with a massive baptism fountain some bathrooms and a instructional classroom area (this is where my family ate thanksgiving meals). They have double doors leading to a full basketball gymnasium and kitchen and concession area. The outside of the perimeter has a couple baseball fields behind the church buses for aau baseball team these days considering they no longer have a school. Saint luke is a small community church that shares congregation and priests with it sister site Saint rita a few miles down the road. Overall, it's a nice church with good people. Pretty good and well kept facility and I've had made many great and lasting memories and times here.

With this particular event, the screen they had Nosferatu playing on could have been higher in the air. Pew seating. Flat floor. Low screen. Every size of people. It was difficult to see for a portion of the performance. With all of that aside, I suppose this is a great church to conduct your worship... if you're into that. It's a historic building. Great architecture and atmosphere! I wish they would open this church up as a venue for some bands. Obviously not full-on concerts, but I could see a lot of special moments happening at this church when it relates to music.
