Wedding tunes were a hit! We used DJ Bradley for our wedding ceremony and reception and were super impressed. The planning forms for Dow Oaks were extremely straight forward and appropriately detailed for the flow of the day. You are able to pick songs you want and don't want played. We picked our favorite songs but wanted DJ Bradley to have fun and do his thing too! HIGHLY RECOMMEND and would book them all over again!! read more

Ryan was the DJ at our daughter's wedding on 10/5/22. He was terrific! Played the songs requested and kept the party moving. He helped with the mic for the ceremony and the speeches. He was friendly, professional, and great! read more

Here's the issue: This business has kept a large sum of money prepaid to them, months early, for a wedding that was planned right before the Corona Virus hysteria. Due to the size of the wedding and number of guests, by law the venue had to reschedule the wedding. The bride and groom to be attempted a reschedule with this DJ based on a number of factors: A date the venue would be able to accommodate the wedding, when the grooms father could attend the wedding, the catering company, and a number of other vendors. The bride and groom were able to get all family, vendors and venue to another set date, except one, this DJ. At that point, the DJ told them to "pick another date that works for us" and refused to refund $1500 that was prepaid to them, months in advance. This business has not rendered ANY SERVICE, NONE. I would say stay very far from this business. DO NOT PREPAY THEM. READ THEIR CONTRACT CAREFULLY! True colors always show through, especially when people have a choice to do what's right and instead they choose to be greedy and selfish. Enjoy your UNEARNED $1500 - I hope to hell it puts you out of business and earns you the terrible reputation you deserve! read more

Dow Oak events is amazing! Super professional and very organized. They handled every little detail and made the music side of things soo easy. Mason was our DJ and he did a fantastic job!! So glad we found them. They helped make our big day so special! Thank you Mason and Dow Oak Events! read more

Henry was a true professional for our wedding. The ceremony had to get underway ahead of the planned time due to rain, but the playlist was executed perfectly. Everything from the requested announcements to the microphones went flawless. Henry also orchestrated our introductions and wedding game with enthusiasm and skill. During the course of the event Henry would communicate with us to make sure everything was on track. Additionally, during the 8 months or so that we had DJ Henry booked, he was super responsive and would meet with us whenever we asked. When we needed to tweak the timeline to work with our photographer's timeline better, he unlocked our wedding planning documents so we could go ahead and change everything 2 nights before the actual wedding day!! Thank you to both Henry and Dow oak events for being part of our wedding! We will recommend your service to anyone who would ask without hesitation. read more

Hiring Dow Oaks was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding! The entire team was wonderful, and Graham, in particular, was top notch! We received so many compliments from our guests. We can't recommend Dow Oaks and DJ Graham enough! read more

Dow Oak Events keeps disputing my review on Weddingwire so I'll share it here. My husband and I booked Dow Oak Events for our wedding on 3/7/2020. Graham was the DJ for our wedding. To start with our ceremony, I spent hours choosing the song I would walk down to aisle to and a different version was used. The version we chose was important to us because it was an instrumental song that included piano and cello which are the instruments my husband and I play. I was heartbroken that my entrance wasn't how I envisioned it to be. Now to the reception. We let the DJ choose the songs but made a note that it needs to be lively as the crowd is more young people. Throughout the night, we had to constantly walk up to Graham to "speed it up" as the night continued. People would dance here and there but I felt like the music selection wasn't great, and the flow was just horrible. Our guests said the music selection wasn't great so decided to put in song requests to bring the night to life, and Graham never accepted them. I thought he would get the vibe of the crowd after my husband and I, and multiple people kept coming up to him with song requests. To say the least, I was disappointed and will continue to share my review so others won't have the same experience I did. read more

Erik from Dow Oak Events did an amazing job at our Wedding! Highly recommend using them! He made the whole experience super easy and the online portal was a great planning tool. One of my biggest worries was that guests wouldn't be dancing but he made sure they were on the dance floor the whole time! He also knew what songs to play to get all different age groups out there. He kept the timeline going smoothly after our planner left and the prices were great too. I can't say enough great things about Erik and Dow Oak events! You definitely won't regret hiring them! read more

We had an amazing experience with our DJ Erik! He made the whole process seamless, and made me feel confident that we had made the right decision from the very beginning! We had a few last minute additions and changes - he rolled with the punches, read the vibe of our crowd and kept the music on point!! We would recommend Dow Oak to anyone - not only we're they super fun to work with, they're also really reasonably priced!!!! read more

Oh my goodness. I can't tell you how AMAZING my DJ, Ryan Green and his assistant Kameron Utterback of Dow Oak Events were at my wedding. Seriously, they kept the party alive the WHOLE NIGHT. They played EXACTLY what I wanted without me having to ask twice. I asked for the artist James Arthur to play for my cocktail hour (Not many people know who he is outside of his one song). The very first song played was by him and I look over and both of them and they were both vibing out just as much as I was. The music was the most important part of my night considering I was a dance major in college and about 1/3 of the guests there were also dance/cheer/theater majors so we were looking to have a good time and dance the night away. Ryan did not disappoint. He was also very good about making sure things happened as smoothly as possible and how my husband and I wanted. I would recommend them 10/10 times!!! Their website also made it VERY easy for me to make sure the timeline and order of events were perfect. It is very user friendly. The price was exactly right. I honestly got so lucky with them! Thank you Ryan and Kameron!! read more

DJ Erik is the best! He saved the reception! We had lost our original venue due to hurricane Florence and the reception ended up not being exactly what I as the bride had envisioned. With his positive energy and "we're going to make this work" attitude he made the dance party part of the wedding the best I've ever seen! I highly reccomend this DJ company and if you get the chance, ask for Erik! He's wonderful to work with! read more

We paid a TON of money for a dj who screwed up our music 1. During the ceremony for my wife's entrance . 2. The lapel mics didn't work during the ceremony 3. Our entrance song said the F word uncensored in front of all our family, friends, and children which we had specifically asked the song to be censored and were assured it would be 4. Our must play songs were not played and instead the dj played what he wanted until we complained 5. Our cake cutting song was played during the wrong time and threw the whole thing off. 6. There were moments of complete and total utter silence. We were very disappointed in this vendor and would never in a million years hire him again. Such a waste of money and so upsetting for our wedding day. Don't know how this company is highly rated. A joke. Also the company's website is garbage and not user friendly at all. All around disappointing experience to say the least. read more

Dow Oak Events is professional, affordable and perfect for your event. We hired Mason as our DJ for our beach wedding. He was so attentive, took requests, listened and executed our wishes perfectly. We expressed to him that we wanted our group on the dance all night and he delivered!! I would absolutely recommend this company and if at all possible, Mason is your guy! read more

I had such a bad experience with this company. I booked them for $1300 to have a DJ for my wedding on 9/11 and I was assigned a DJ - her name was Kameron and we had about a 45 min call and I went over in -depth about our music forms that we filled out and what we wanted. I left that call feeling really good! Then, I show up to my wedding and see two men walking around saying that they are now going to be my DJs for the wedding (one was in training) because my DJ got covid. Obviously nobody can control that, but the owner found out two days before and did NOT inform me or tell me which was very stressful when these DJs had no clue what was going on. These DJs had only TWO of our songs already downloaded- I wanted current music and they were playing all these oldies. I asked for a lot of Ariana Grande, Drake, Dua Lipa, and I got one song of each artist. Watching them download our songs during the reception was just overall very frustrating and stressful- I could've just made a Spotify playlist and saved myself money. The owner- Erik- was so rude and immature once I contacted him to tell him about my service. He told my maid of honor "well at the end of the day she got married so its fine" That is NOT the point- I paid for service that I did not receive. I have screenshots of all of his rude emails. He refused to refund me any cost at all and stated that I was lucky that I even had a DJ show up. Please do not book this company for your wedding- there are much better and cheaper DJs than this company. Feel free to message me for these screenshots. read more
