I bought 2 quarts of oil, poured it in and it immediately poured right back on the ground. The station owners gave Mack Automotive's phone number; I called and Colin said he would come up and look at it and then come back after they closed and tow it to their place. After they closed he came up with his truck and a jack and fellow mechanics. They jacked it up and started checking on things, deciding that it was most likely the oil pan plug had come out. I am a mechanic's son and could tell from their diagnostic discussions that they were all experienced mechanics. They removed the under body pan and found the plug. They reinstalled it and added oil. The car started and sounded normal. Since the car had been serviced about two weeks earlier in IL they told me that I should call the dealer right then and there to report this incident, which I did before I started on. As I said, Colin and his crew are seasoned mechanics. But they are also good people. They could have said it was after hours and they would tow it to their place and work on it tomorrow. But they worked on it right there in the gas station lot, and I was on my way. Thank you, Colin and crew. You saved my trip to see my relatives!

I thought about going to another company but stopped by Elm Street just to ask them if they could look at the brakes. The owner himself took over and he spent two hours going over the problem with a couple of his workers... As time ran out he,,, Josh.. asked me to bring the car back after the weekend giving them time to do some research. I took the car back Monday morning... two hours later the car was ready... I heard no squeals or grinding.. actually no sound whatsoever.. When I went to pay the bill... Josh said.. "no".. we should have found this when we did your brakes.. .. The inside smelled moldy and the red paint was very chalky. The seats were filthy because she had piled the seats full of junk that needed to be taken to the dump. I took it to Tom Ahl's for detailing after reading reviews. I wasn't really expecting that they would be able to do much for it since it was in such bad shape, inside and out. When I picked the truck up I was totally amazed. I only wish that I had taken "before" so everyone could see what an incredible job they did with this truck that I had nearly written off as hopeless.

Upon returning from a test drive, I sat and waited for my salesman to become available. Not once did any of the other salespeople come and ask if they could help me. They could have easily helped in showing me other vehicles. After waiting for 25 minutes, someone brought out 3 or 4 pies. The salespeople and others from the offices came dashing to the location of the pies. At that point I left. My salesman called later to apologize. Maybe there is a reason the other salespeople had no customers and mine had 3. Absolutely inexcusable!

I was in with a 2006 Ford escape that another place said I needed six plugs and six coils. Dad's found all the calls were found, but found a fuel injector that needed to be replaced. They did a very thorough job at a very fair price. They also did a rear brake job the previous place that I need a caliper, but I don't. I'll definitely come back.

Actually got it back on Saturday the 22nd after many calls saying we are almost there.They never called me for anything else found they just repaired it at a cost of $1300.00 more! Never consulted with me if I could afford this or not !! I had to dig deep into savings for this even though I hated to do it. I would have appreciated a consult before the repair. It's scary to think what would have happened if I couldn't pay the extra money. They would have kept my vehicle so on and so fourth. To add insult to injury my truck sounds worse now than it did when I took it in. Drive to Toyota and the timing is way off! Made an appointment with Toyota to remedy timing. And then pay them, I should have taken it to Toyota in the first place, would have only cost me a few hundred dollars more. I could take it back to dads but at what cost? Keep my truck for two weeks again. Would they find a whole slew of other things to throw money at? Never called me the first time why would they call me this time.
